|NaHee's POV|
"JiSu, you're up." JongHo slides a bright pink bag toward her.
"Lay it on me. What animal am I and what special gift do I get?" JiSu nods her head encouragingly as her hands linger above the gift, wanting the whole speech before she even touches it.
"For the over excited and one of a kind happy virus, we obtained the highest quality turtle to be named after its polar opposite, Jia. To fuel your addiction to social media, pink, and sparkles, we invested our life savings into getting you a custom phone case with all of the JiSu essentials. There are sparkles, pinks, and flowers of every shape and size. Make sure to keep us updated on little Jia's adventures. Sincerely, The Ateez Boys who could use some energy lessons. I don't know about that last part. We're pretty chaotic. I really wanna know who wrote these letters." JongHo trails off as JiSu rips into her present.
"Yep. Okay. Bye. Gotta go get a new selfie for insta." JiSu disappears with her new case and stuffed turtle.
"Aera." JongHo slides Aera's red bag toward her.
"Read it. I'm ready." Aera states confidently as she stares at her gift with fierce eyes.
"For the dancing queen, we have selected only the finest lioness. You're new lioness is adorned with a crown of rubies, earning her the name Cherry. She is accompanied by a brand new custom speaker so she can practice her deadly dancing with the highest quality of music. We expect a dance off in the near future. Sincerely, The Ateez Boys who can't wait to see you perform." JongHo smiles as notices SunMi eyeing the last two bags in confusion.
"Okay. So I'm going to practice. I'll see you guys later." Aera grabs her bag and waves goodbye before heading toward the front door.
"Shit!" I hiss as I realize I burnt the French toast.
Everyone turns to look at me in shock. I lower my head as I give up and place the pan in the sink. I sigh and tear my apron off in defeat. I toss it on the counter and turn the stove off before sitting down in Aera's seat. I mope while the others chuckle in amusement.
"Where are you going?" ChanHyuck asks as he slips into the house.
"Hm? Who—me?" Aera jumps as she stumbles back.
"Yes you, who else is standing next to the door with an armful of stuff?" ChanHyuck pokes her in the forehead before glancing toward the sink.
"I tried to make you breakfast, but I got distracted." I sigh as I meet his gaze.
"You're the sweetest, but I have food at the venue. I got you guys a ton of stuff to snack on." ChanHyuck smiles as he wraps his arm around Aera's shoulders.
"Don't tell me you used your personal money—ChanHyuck! I told you to stop buying us things. Once we start making more money you can, but right now we barely bring in ten bucks a week." I hop onto my feet and hurry toward him. I slap his shoulder out of frustration.
"Act like I'm not here and finish what you were doing. You can tell at me later, but right now we have to get moving." ChanHyuck insists as he motions toward JongHo.
"Last, but definitely least, SunMi." JongHo hands her a black gift bag.
"What was that? I think you missed a word. You meant to say definitely not least, right?" SunMi glares at him as he smirks.
"Did I?" JongHo teases as he pinches her cheeks.
"Just read the letter." SunMi huffs as she sets her bag down on the counter.
"For Ateez's ninth member and precious sloth, we love you more than anything in the world. In honor of your membership, we have included a baby sloth. This baby sloth is to stay with you at all times. It's name is Sunny. Each member of Ateez has a special sloth with its name sewn into the bottom of its left foot. Your second gift is the most precious of all. A beautifully decorated jar contains a number of memories and stories all nine Ateez members were present for. When things get difficult and you can't reach anyone, take a look at some of the special times we've had as a team. Even though Candi is your new journey, you will always be a member of the Ateez family and we hope you'll gift us with four new members. Love, The Ateez Family." JongHo chuckles as SunMi covers her face.
"I hate you." SunMi sniffles as she slaps JongHo.
"Take them out." JongHo instructs as he holds the bag for her.
SunMi reaches inside and pulls out the little sloth. She checks it's foot and a bright smile crosses her face as tears run down her cheeks. She laughs as she trails her fingers over the name.
"Look at its belly." JongHo encourages.
A big sun covers the stomach of the little sloth. SunMi sets it down and rubs at her eyes. JongHo chuckles and pulls a large jar out of the bag. He sets it on the counter and pulls her in for a hug.
"Our baby SunMi!" We all rush toward her and shower her with love while she cries.
"Look what you did!" I slap JongHo playfully as SunMi laughs through her tears.
"Blame SeongHwa! He thought of the jar!" JongHo tries to pass the blame off on someone else.
"Get outta here!" I joke while I push him toward the door. I kick him in the butt and shut the door behind him.
I quickly tug it back open and wave.
"Meet us at the venue! We should leave her in about five minutes!" I smile as JongHo nods.
"Nope, we're leaving now. Who's riding with JongHo?" ChanHyuck states as he pulls the door the rest of the way open.
"Me!" JuHee pushes passed ChanHyuck and me before running toward JongHo.
"So I've got three." ChanHyuck nods as he directs us all out of the house.
