"Boss we still haven't found anything on Jasper" Dylan's subordinate said.

"How is it possible, just where are we wrong?" Dylan said with Frustration

"Boss, I think you should relax, you have been working non-stop , for this case , at this rate you will fall sick" Dylan's subordinated said again

"How can you I rest when those stupid old people we call superiors will close this case if we didn't give them evidence…..our friends who have died because of this case will never get justice" Dylan said with frustration.

Everyone agreed with him.

Dylan sighed "Its time to go home , we will meet tomorrow".

It's been a few days since that attack and ever since then everyone got really busy with their work.

Shawn and Ryan went back to their company since the Grace created a lot of trouble for them , the Grace tried to hack into their system and tried to stole some information which was valuable for their company

Even the Jones groups had to suffer some losses because of the Grace; Amber and Mr. and Mrs. Jones and Bryan as the corporate lawyer for the companies had to overwork so that their company does not face anymore problems.

Both the the companies increased their security. And used more advanced technologies to protect their data. And this time the Shroff corporation also helped them Kyle and Felix helped them to secure some important deals and also bought shares from Mart-jones groups.

The Jones family was really thankful to them. The three Shroff brothers were like a part of the Jones family now and Ryan could now see Kevin more often and he was really happy about that.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones started to spend more time in finding ways to destroy 'vajra'

Dylan also got busy with his work , Dylan left no stone unturned to look for Japer but when he didn't find anything he decided to change his tactics this time he started to look into all the illegal activities in which the Grace were involved.

Dylan also sent some spies to the Grace company. And he found that found that the Grace were not normal people at all . they were much more complicated .

After a long day when Shawn came back home he found Dylan standing near the entrance of the house.

"Dylan how come you are here" Shawn asked with his usual smile

" I just came to visit you Shawn, how have you been doing these days" Dylan said

"I am doing fine, there were some problems in the company but now we have taken care of it and everything is back on track"

"That's really good to know Shawn by the way are you taking care of your health" Shawn nodded and then looked at Dylan the latter looked exhausted and thinner than before it was obvious that Dylan was overworking himself.

"Did you had dinner" Shawn asked.

"I will , after I go back home"

Shawn sighed "Dylan you should take care of your health too , come inside "

'no its okay Shawn I don't want to distu.."

"no one is at home mom, dad ,Noona, Bryan, Ryan they are all busy so now come inside"

Dylan compiled , he followed Shawn inside the big mansion, Shawn took of his coat and put his office bag on the sofa and then went to the kitchen and Dylan followed him.

"Shawn are you going to cook?" Dylan asked and Shawn nodded

"When I was little I often used to cook for myself and my dad since my dad was always busy with his work he didn't have much time to take care of me"

"who taught you to cook "

"my mother and sometimes my grandmother as well"

Shawn took out the vegetables and other ingredients form the fridge.

"Shawn can I help you with something"

"you know cooking?"

"not at all but I can wash and cut vegetables"

"okay then wash these vegetables and then cut them and be careful with the knife"

After his work was done Dylan sat near the counter and observed Shawn ; the latter was really a gentlemen , he had a perfect figure, a perfect face, a perfect personality ,according to Dylan everything about Shawn was perfect , Dylan was literally drooling over Shawn.

"here" Shawn place the food in front of Dylan bringing the latter out of his trance.

Dylan thanked Shawn and without wasting much time started eating , the food tasted heavenly.

"How is it" Shawn asked

"I loved it Shawn, it's amazing can I have more"

"I am glad you liked it"

"By the way Shawn I wanted to ask you something"

"go ahead"

"did you meet Mr. Gilbert's son again the one with whom you were kidnapped?"

Shawn stopped eating and looked at Dylan "why are you suddenly asking this?"

"After Mr. Jones told me the whole story and all I went back home, I remembered an incident from my childhood"

Shawn looked at Dylan curiously

"My father was also a cop, I would frequently visit his work place and wait for him to complete his work , one day I went to his work place and sat on a chair just like everyday and waited for my father, while I was waiting for him I noticed a child carrying another unconscious child in his arms coming inside the police station , both of them were really in a bad condition specially the unconscious one, my father was the one who approached the two children but when he tried to take the unconscious kid in his arms the elder kid just backed away , he refused to let anyone touch the unconscious kid "

"The elder kid told his name and then his father's name before fainting , so after I heard that you were Henry Martin's son I remembered this incident."

Shawn's eyes widen at this information. He never expected this ,

"So does your father know what happened to that child?" Shawn asked his eyes were filled with hopes.

"That child's condition was very critical , he was severely abused and the doctors found quiet heavy dosage of drugs inside the child's body , the doctors told that the child wouldn't survive "

Shawn's heart sank after hearing this , he felt anger , sadness and disappointment. 'That child was really young to die , he shouldn't have died'

Dylan noticed Shawn's expression

"The child was taken away by his guardian , we didn't know for sure whether he died or survived , so don't be sad Shawn there is still hope"

The child was Lei's son and his only guardian after his father and mother's death would be his uncle i.e Lei's brother Seth, there is really a chance that the child might be alive , but Shawn was not gonna raise his hopes he doesn't want to get disappointed again.

The atmosphere became silent and Dylan cursed at himself for bringing up this topic.

"uh..i am sorry Shawn , I shouldn't have brought up this topic"

"it's okay Dylan it's not your fault" Shawn paused then continued

"When I saw that child for the first time he looked really small, timid and scared, his body was covered with scars, it really pained my heart to see him like that and it gave me a feeling to protect him but that child would never open up to me , no matter how much I tried to talk to him he wouldn't budge he would always just sit in the corner"

"Those people didn't lay a hand on me because they wanted something from my father but that child was already an orphan, so they treated as if he was their toy , Everyday the guard would come and take the child away for few hours and the child would come back with new wounds on his body, the child looked like he was dead it really pained my heart to see him like that. I really wanted to take him far away from that place.

"I would often share my food with him and slowly I regained his trust , one day the guards came in again the child's face was covered with fear he looked at me as if asking me to help but I was just a kid I couldn't do anything against those guards. They forcefully took him and this time it took longer time than the usual for the child to come back and this time when he came back he..."

Shawn paused he took a deep breath and drank some water , Shawn's eyes were already wet Dylan held Shawn's hand to comfort him , but Dylan also felt his heart ache after hearing about the child's treatment.

"I still remember that day it was the same day my father came to rescue us , and it was the same day when that child completely broke down I don't know exactly what they did to him but when he came back he was completely silent his eyes held no emotion at all and gave me chills I slowly approached and then hugged his tightly he didn't push me away and after a few seconds he started crying , he cried badly , he screamed and begged me to take him away from there, even I cried after seeing him like that. That day he told me that he wished that he was never born."

"After hearing a little child say something like that I can't even imagine what he must have been through and I don't even want to know, that memory still gives me chills and nightmares but that child had been through all that I can't even imagine what mental state he might be in that time , no one deserves to be treated like that"

A lone tear escaped from Shawn's eyes , Dylan wiped it and looked at the younger .

Dylan felt pity for the child and also anger against those monster

"Shawn after we solve our current problem then I will help you find that child" Dylan said " my heart tells me that , that child must be alive so don't worry"

"I really hope what you said is true"
