Part 30

Third Person's POV

It had been hours since the boys arrived at their special spot and started watching movies. Justen had fallen asleep after the third movie which left Josh to think.

Josh thought about how his life was changing. He had no idea that his mom wanted to get away from his dad. Josh knew his dad was crazy but crazy enough to have Josh's mom join in on the beating? That's insane. Sighing, Josh looked at his boyfriend who was sleeping in his arms. He was all too lucky to have a boyfriend like Justen and wouldn't replace him for anything in the world. Still admiring Justen, Josh wondered if it was too early to admit that he loved Justen. He even thought if it really was love. The two had only been dating for two days now. Sighing again, his mind wandered to Justen again. The thought of Justen being scared of his dad but also worrying for him stuck in Josh's mind. How can Justen care about someone who beats him? How can he worry about someone who pretends to not care about their own son?

While Josh was wrapping his head around these thoughts, Justen's dad and Josh's dad were working this out. Well, kind of.

"Why did you let him go?!" Josh's dad growled.

"Because that's my son," Justen's dad said.

Josh's dad punched the wall, leaving a hole.

"Why did you want him anyway?" Justen's dad asked.

"Do you not see what he does with my son?!" Josh's dad asked.

"Yeah, I see it," Justen's dad said. "What about it?"

"If I see them together again, I'm going to kill your precious son," Josh's dad said. "And you don't want me to do that, do you?"

"So what do you want me to do? Break them up?" Justen's dad asked.

"Duh," Josh's dad said.

"Have you not seen how happy they are with each other?" Justen's dad asked.

"When have you cared about Justen?" Josh's dad asked, rolling his eyes.

"Listen here, Noah," Justen's dad said. "I have always cared about my son."

"Well you listen here David, you cared about your son until your wife died in nine eleven. Since then, you haven't cared about him," Josh's dad, Noah, said. "Besides, when was the last time you actually talked to your son or daughter about anything?"

"You're one to talk, Noah," Justen's dad, David, said. "You have never loved your kids."

"At least I can give mine a good place to stay! What do you call this? A dump?" Noah snapped.

"You know what? I will have Justen break up with your son, because knowing you, you've probably trained him to act just like you, a dickhead," David said.

"At least mine isn't a drug-addicted pig!" Noah said.

"You get your wish now get the hell out of my fucking house!" David said.

"My pleasure," Noah said, glaring at David as he walked out of the house.

David then sighed and sat on the couch. He didn't want to break the boys up because he knew at one point he felt that same love towards his wife. David put his head against the headrest. He knew what he had to do, but there was no way he was prepared for what would come next. David then called Justen.

"Hello?" A different male's voice asked.

"Where is Justen?" David asked.

"He's here with me," the male said. "He's sleeping."

"When he wakes up can you tell him to come home? I need to talk to him about something," David said.

"Yeah, I can do that," the male said.

"This is Josh, right?" David said.

"Yeah," Josh said.

"Okay, it's good to know Justen is in great hands," David said.

"Yeah," Josh said, not knowing what else to say.

"Alright, when Justen wakes up tell him to come home, okay?" David asked.

"Okay," Josh said.

"Thank you," David said before he hung up the phone.

After a few minutes, David got off the couch and looked at his house. He sighed, Noah was right, his house was really a pig-sty. Getting tired of staring at a floor full of garbage, David finally grabbed the cleaning supplies and began to clean the house that Noah had called "garbage".
