Ghost POV

"Crap!" I yelled as I was flipped off the ground and fell.

I groaned as I tried to sit up but the pain was unbearable.

"Really, Tessa? Damn, when will I ever be able to beat you?"

"You're never going to be able to beat me in hand-to-hand combat." replied Tessa, the young Recon

"ALRIGHT CADETS, TRAINING SESSION IS OVER. GO BACK TO YOUR DORMS AND GET READY FOR LIGHTS OUT!" yelled the instructor

I groaned as I got up to leave the training grounds back to the dorms.

"Hey Ajax wait up!" yelled a guy behind me

"Oh hey Malvik!"

"So how was sparring?" asked Malvik

"Tell me about it, sparring late at night? Not a fan."

"At least you got to spar with Tessa." said Malvik

"No it's not! What's wrong with you, she's like a demon."

"I mean, well, there is something I wanted to tell you." said Malvik

"What?"

"I'll tell you when we get back to our dorm."

"Okay, graduation is in 10 months, a whole year of training and we only got through 2 months of it." I changed the topic

"Yea, I'm just aiming to be top ten." replied Malvik

"You'll definitely get it, so all you got to worry about is not getting into trouble." I said

"Hey, same goes to you." laughed Malvik

"Bro, Tessa and Emily are also going to be top ten." I said

"Yoooo, those two are at each other's throats. If they fight, breaking them up will only make situations worse." said Malvik

"You think none of us know from experience?" I sarcastically said

We got to our dorms and got ready for bed.

"So what was it you were going to tell me?" I asked Malvik when he got in bed.

"Oh yea, I was going to tell you that I had a crush on someone."

"Yo, before you say her name, I'm going to guess it." I said with confidence

"Sure go ahead." chuckled Malvik

I sat on my bed and began to think for a couple of seconds.

"Krystal?"

"Nope."

"Christina?"

"Nope."

"Rebecca"

"Nope."

"Avery?"

"Nope."

I kept naming every girl that seemed to match with him, to be honest, I don't talk to any one of them, the only ones I ever talked to were Emily and Tessa.

I started to run out of all of them till finally I was left with the two girls that I never thought that Malvik would have interest in. And I hope he doesn't have interest in Emily cause I have interest in her.

"Bro am I missing someone, cause there's no way you like Emily."

"I don't like Emily." chuckled Malvik "I'm enjoying this."

"There's no way it's Tessa, she's-"

I was cut off with Malvik clapping.

"You finally got it." said Malvik

My smile turned into a serious, shocked and confused face all at once.

"WHAT?! TESSA?! WHAT THE FUCK?!" I yelled

"Bro quiet down it's light out-" before Malvik can finish our instructor barged into our room.

"CADETS 10 LAPS OUTSIDE NOW!"

2 weeks later

"Sup, Ajax." said Malvik

He sat on the table in front of me with his dinner.

"Hey man." I replied while eating my food

"Man I got some good news." he said

"For me?"

"Well it happened to me, but like I thought I would tell you." said Malvik

"Okay, tell me." I said as I sipped my water

"I asked out Tessa and she accepted." said Malvik

I spit out my water straight at his face and I started coughing. Malvik just sat there wet from my water.

"You okay?" said Malvik cleaning up the mess

"Yea sorry but that was way too surprising." I replied helping him clean up the mess

"What's surprising?" said a voice behind me that sent chills through my spine.

I slowly turned around to come face to face with Tessa.

"Hey Tessa." said Malvik

"Hey" I simply said

She circled around the table at sat right next to Malvik.

"Uhhhh, I'll uhh give you some time to spend together." I said as I quickly gathered my stuff and left the cafeteria.

I left the cafeteria, but as I turned the corner I bumped into someone and fell back.

"Watch where you are fucking going." said Emily

"Oh shit, sorry sorry I was just in a hurry." I said quickly getting up and lending my hand to her.

"Yea whatever." she said, getting up without taking my hand

"Oh, okay." I whispered as I was kind of sad that she didn't take my offer

"Where are you going right now?" I asked

"None of your business." she said as she left

I watched her as she left and just sighed.

'Damn it'

2 weeks later

Training was now just so fucking boring. Malvik now pays more attention to Tessa more than anything, he still talks to me and still hangs out but he likes to be with Tessa a lot more which I understand.

Right now I was sparring so with Emily but of course, I get my ass kicked all the time.

"Goddammit." I muttered as I fell back onto the ground

I look over to where Tessa and Malvik to see that they were both laughing and helping each other out.

"Hey, pay attention." said Emily.

I sighed as I got up from sitting down.

"What were you looking at?" asked Emily who turned to look towards the direction I was looking at.

"Oh so that bitch got someone, Malvik has some balls." said Emily.

"Seriously?" I asked with my eyebrow raised

"Who the fuck are you looking at like that?" growled Emily

"You know what? Forget it. I'm going to go use the restroom."

But before I even left, Emily did some kind of move on me and I was on the ground with on top of me.

"What's up with you?" I asked as Emily's shin was on my neck, preventing me from breathing

"Surprisingly you have balls to raise an eyebrow at me, you never were able to do any of that to me, so tell me, what's on your mind?"

I tried pushing her off but she just began to apply more pressure against my throat.

"Okay okay I'll tell you!" I yelled, but it barely came out as a whisper

Emily loosened up the pressure but she didn't get off.

"Look I just have a friend who's all happy around his girlfriend and leaves me like a pile of junk." I said "I'm not saying Malvik actually treats me like shit now, he's still a good friend but now, who am I supposed to lean on when he's gone."

Emily seemed to feel some kind of pity towards me so she got off of me. I just got up and sat there with my knees up, my arms on my knees.

"So you want someone to love you?" asked Emily

"That would be nice but all I'm asking for is another friend that can also be there." I replied

Emily stood there looking at me but I wasn't looking at her, I was looking at the other people training, most of them were friends, having fun, helping each other out and all that shit.

"I'll be your friend." said Emily

I look up at her as if I heard her wrong?

"Wait really?"

"Yea." she said

"Oh wow uhh thanks." I replied, scratching the back of my head

9 months later

"AJAX LOOK OUT!"

I turn around to be met with a shovel to my face. I fell and began to roll down the hillside and into a trench. I got up and just looked around me in pure terror. The entire hillside was covered in bodies of Chinese soldiers and a couple of American soldiers, blood drenched the soil and weeds on the ground.

I turn around and saw a soldier run up to me, he charged into me but I drew my pistol from my holster and shot his back twice, killing him.

The same guy from before with the shovel swung at me but I duck and shot his stomach multiple times killing him too. Another guy began to run to me, I aimed my gun but I realized I was out, so I threw my gun at him as a distraction, then I slid down towards his legs and made him fall. I pulled out my knife and I started stabbing him. I got up and another Chinese soldier came up at me with a knife and swung upwards with it. I leaned back, but the tip of the knife scratched my left eye top of my cheek to the middle of my forehead. I fell backwards and threw my knife at him, hitting him his face, killing him.

"This is Governor Johnson, reinforcements are inbound, ETA 3 minutes." said Johnson through the walkie talkie.

"About time." I groaned

I turn around but I suddenly felt pain on right side, where my rib cage is. I look down and see the guy I shot on the back, stabbed me with his knife. I collapse to the ground and he continued to stab me at least 5 times at the same place. I felt pain all over there and there was no one who could help me.

But I was wrong, Emily came and kicked the guy in the face, and shot him after he fell off of me.

"Ajax stay with me, you got this, come on." she said as she pulled me in, she laid my head on her lap as she put a bandaid on my wound.

I look in front of me to see another guy coming straight towards Emily.

'I have to do something.'

But before I thought of something, someone shot him in the head, killing him instantly.

"REINFORCEMENTS ARE HEAR!" yelled Malvik.

Remaining Chinese soldiers began to run down the hillside, while getting shot at by US soldiers.

"Ajax! Oh God, Ajax!" yelled Malvik

He came running down the hill and slid next to my body.

"Is he going to be okay?" asked Emily

Malvik checked my wound and immediately started putting bandages on. He applied pressure but that hurt like hell and I screamed in pain and began coughing blood.

"Answer my damn question!" yelled Emily who was still holding my head close to her body.

"I don't know." said Malvik, he looked like he was about to cry.

"Hey buddy don't give up on me, we'll get you help, don't worry." said Malvik who ran to get help

I began to slowly feel drowsy as my vision began to get blurry.

"Hey Ajax, stay with me, don't you dare give up on me. Come on Ajax." was the last thing I heard before blacking out.

Present day

I was sitting in the infirmary getting treated, I look at my right rib cage to see 5 scars from that day.

"And sir you're all set, I'm surprised you don't feel pain from two bullet holes which are healing right now."

I got up, but once the guard came to grab my arm, I spun around, grabbed his head and snapped it, killing him instantly. I turned to the doctor as he backed away in fear.

"Wear did they put my gear?" I asked him

"F-f-first floor armory n-n-near the garage." stuttered the doctor

I grabbed the body and put the body on the bed. I began to undress him and put his clothes.

"If anyone asks about me, tell them I need rest and I'm here." I said pointing at the body "If you tell anyone, I'll kill you. Normally I would cause you saw who I am but I'm going to let this one slide."

The doctor nodded and I continued to change. Luckily the soldier had a mask so I took it off of him and put it on me.

'Damn I hate this uniform.'

I left the room and started making my way through the hallways towards the armory. A bunch of patrolmen kept walking past me, thinking that I'm one of them.

I got to the infirmary room and grabbed my stuff and the others' stuff and out them in a truck we were going to take to escape. I also grabbed some C-4 and planted them on most of the other trucks so that the Russians can't chase us.

I left the garage and started the search for my squad and the damn kids.

'I haven't forgotten about my past, it's good to remember them all.'

I made my way through all the hallways until finally there I came upon a cell the was guarded by at least 6 guards.

I began to approach them and looked inside the cell to see my teammates just sitting there looking all pissed. One guard looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doing here?" he asked in Russian

I immediately hit his throat, causing him to back up and clench his throat as he tried to breathe. Before anyone else noticed I hit the back of another guy's knee with the butt of my gun and then went for the back of the head hit knocking him out. I turned and hit another guy in the neck with the butt of my gun. I see a guys shadow coming up so I move out of the was in time, just as another soldier hit the butt of his gun at the third soldier I hit. Another soldier came swinging his gun at me but I ducked underneath, grabbed his head with one hand and slammed it against the cell door. I turned around to another guy about to swing at me, but I ducked underneath him and uppercut him on the chin. The last guy tried to cock his gun but it seemed jammed so I took that opportunity to kick the gun out of his hand and do a spinning hook kick knocking him out.

I searched for the key through the bodies and found them in the first guy I hit who was still struggling to breathe.

"Ghost?" asked Marksman

"Help me get the bodies inside and change into them, we don't have much time." I said while unlocking the door.
