My Second Day As Captain Of The Martial Arts Club

Chapter 6

Ring, ring, I looked down at the time clicking the dismiss option on my alarm. Ugh, rubbing my eyes, I dragged myself out of bed, and to where breakfast was at.

Adam greeted me, "Soooo, you look tired."

I grumbled, "Didn't sleep well last night."

Adam grinned, "Were you thinking about what happened yesterday at the Martial Arts Club?"

Turing as red as a tomato, I exclaimed, "No, nothing happened! It didn't mean anything! I just fell."

Adam's grin widened, "Right, that's why you're still blushing about it."

I give Adam the death glare.

He just chuckled.

We went down and got into the car. Thomas dropped us off at our respective schools.

I was nervous all through the 1st and 2nd periods.

What will William do when he sees me? What would I do if I see him?

I sweated bullets as I walked to room A-5 and opened the door with clammy hands and immediately saw William, I waved nervously at him.

Then, I walked over to Mark, "Hey, Mark. I haven't given you my phone number yet, right?"

Mark looked up, nodding, "Hey, Adam. Yeah, why?"

Shrugging, "Well you're my friend, and I would like a way to contact you."

Mark handed me his phone.

I smiled, "I'll just type my number into the contacts. Hey, you need help with anything? Form? Technique?"

Mark smiled, "Okay. Na, I'm fine. Go spar with William, cause you can't spar with me, you'll beat me to a pulp."

"Okay if you say so, see ya later."

I walked over to William, "Sooo, hey William."

William looked up, "Hey, Adam."

Silence...Well, this is awkward.

I cleared my throat before asking, "Spar with me?"

William shrugged, answering, "Sure."

We spared for the rest of the club time. Nothing was awkward when we spared, because we didn't need to use words, only actions.

When we finally finished fighting, we were both exhausted.

I looked at the clock, 4:00. I looked over to William. He was looking at me. I stared back at him.

William asked, "Want to go get food with me?"

I stared at him, for a second, before answering, "Sure."

William got up and offered me a hand, I took it, pulling myself up.

William went to change, while I cleaned up.

After a few minutes, he walked out of the changing rooms. He motioned for me to follow him. I followed him into the school parking lot, where he stopped next to a motorcycle.

I looked at William, "This is yours?"

William looked at me with raised eyebrows, "Yeah, is this going to be a problem for you?"

I responded, "Nope, it's not gonna be a problem for me."

William nodded, "Good," he swung his leg over the motorcycle, he looked over at me, "Well? Are you going to get on? We don't have all day."

Walking over to the motorcycle, I swung my leg over the back of it trying not to fall off the damn thing.

William instructed, "If you don't want to fly off the back, cause you don't look all that heavy, hold on to my shoulders or waist."

I asked, "What do you mean I, I don't look all that heavy?" Was that an insult? Was he suspicious?

William shrugged, "Just saying, you look too skinny, too skinny for a guy anyway, but a perfect figure for a girl."

I started sweating again, "W-what do you mean?" Is he suspicious of me? Crap.

William shrugged again, "Nothing really, except that you look a little like a girl."

Sweat trickle down my back, "Hahaha, your imagining things, man," that laugh sounded so fake. Crap, change the damn subject to something else Avery!

Clearing my throat, I mumbled, "So are we going or what?"

William's response was kicking up the motorcycle kickstand and saying, "Hold on, tight."

The motorcycle went slowly at first, then it became faster and faster.

Five minutes later, we arrived at a fast food place, it was all greasy and salty food, it was delicious.

I stared in amazement, as William wolfed down 4 to 5 burgers.

William looked up from his burger, "You going to finish your fries or what?"

I pushed them towards him, "You can have them, but how on earth do you still have room for them?"

William shrugged, "I can eat a lot," he looked over at my food, "Unlike you," There were only two burger wrappers.

I shrugged, "I guess that's why I'm so skinny," or your just a black hole, I kept the second part to myself.

After we finished our food, William asked, "Where do you live?"

I replied, "My address is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX."

William nodded, "I know how to get there."

After the ride back to the apartment, I got off the bike, "Thanks, for giving me a ride home, William."

William shrugged, I was walking to the door when he called out, "Hey Adam, want my phone number?''

I walked over to him handing him my phone, he quickly typed in his number, and handed my phone back to me, "Bye Adam, see you tomorrow," then he took off.

Thus ended my second day as Captain of The Martial Arts Club.
