Satisfied with the result of his choice, Jikein who is now called as Kzel, turned his attention to the ship. If he could repair its damaged parts and find a way to....

>>This ship was mainly designed to navigate the Dark Quadrant. It's impossible to replenish its energy supply.

Initializing Self-Destruct!<<

Kzel's eyes widened as he dashed outside the ship. On the way, he noticed an object that looked like a rifle. He immediately grabbed it and hastily exited.

>>Miniaturized Pulse Driver

-Damaged beyond repair, but can be fired once.<<

'Is there even anything worth of use?!" Kzel gritted his teeth. Once outside, he finally noticed that he is in a deep crater. He sprinted to the first direction he cast his eyes upon.

As soon as he started climbing the scorched earth, he looked back to the direction of the ship and found a different scenario. Contrary to his expectation of a huge explosion, the ship slowly disintegrated into ashes.

"What the hell?!" Kzel muttered in disbelief and continued to climb, just in case there was an even more violent aftermath.

Kzel reached the top and saw the variety of floras. He turned around and sat on the ledge while watching the ship fade into nothing. He was at loss. With a ship, he could have continued to navigate space and find a civilization that could at least help replenish his supplies.

Turning to the weapon at hand, Kzel started inspecting it. There was a trigger and a rather huge muzzle. He reconfigured it and the muzzle transformed into a smaller one, giving off a hint that it can now fire more concentrated blasts. He was a Rzir, and the system would guide him on how to operate everything they created.

Suddenly, Kzel aimed the weapon to the thickness of the floras and instinctively squeezed the trigger.

Ngyub!

Kzel's shoulder received the full brunt of the recoil and the weapon started to disintegrate just like the ship. The Rzir's eyes narrowed as he warily stared at the direction he just fired upon.

A huge creature fell on the ground with its head missing, the blast reduced it to splashes of meat. The creature was a giant lizard.

Kzel calmed his nerves. Firing the weapon was the right thing to do. The overgrown lizard have legs similar to that of a Monitor Lizard and it would be very mobile on land. He'd be in serious trouble if he had not acted quick. The Rzir sensed another danger as he stepped to the side and claws tore through the space where he was once standing.

Kzel put up a defensive stance as he studied the other creature. It was another lizard, except that it was standing on two legs. The creature questioned Kzel's logic by standing on very short legs with its forward leaning body and long arms with razor sharp claws. However, when Kzel saw the huge tail planted on its back, he finally understood why it could stand. It was using its tail to balance itself.

>>Ulsu Hunter

-An evolved type of reptile. Population is very dense in the Planet Heern. They don't scavenge much unlike their cousins and prefer to hunt fresh meat.<<

The Ulsu pounced at the Rzir but received a jab to the face, extended and retracted quickly like lightning. Even with its thick scales, a blunt attack like that would rock the brain and it would stop giving commands to the body.

While the Ulsu tried to regain its posture, Kzel was looking at his left hand in awe. His avatar wasn't trained like his real body. So, a punch like that on a tough hide would bruise or peel the skin on his knuckle. He did not even felt a tinge of pain.

>>Rzirs never had any interest in genetically engineering themselves and evolved into perfection after eons. Their evolution followed the constitition of their body. As a result, your bones and muscles are far stronger than other lifeforms. Skin and nails are as hard as metal.<<

Kzel's amazement did not last long as the Ulsu swiped its claws, attempting to slice him open. He only took a step back and casually dodged the attack, displaying superiority in agility and reflexes. He then took a deft step forward and performed a devastating body hook that dropped the Ulsu.

After confirming that the creature is dangerous, Kzel gripped a stone and started dropping hammerfists mixing it up with punches on the back of its head while his other hand pushed it in place until it no longer moved.

Kzel satisfied himself by poking and kicking the motionless body, making sure it's dead. He looked around for a moment to find other dangers before hearing his stomach growl.

>>Rzirs seldom eat food in the Dark quadrant. However, when in the influence of the Light Quadrant, Rzirs must fuel themselves constantly and adding the fact that you are a young Rzir whose powers are growing.<<

"I see." Kzel scratched his chin and turned towards the forest. He gathered some drywoods which confused him a bit because of their strange textures. He considered making a hand drill to make fire, but there were still embers in the crater where he landed.

After casually throwing some woods to his fire, Kzel went to the huge lizard. The Ulsu was walking on two legs and gross to eat.

"Now, I need something to slice this overgrown lizard." After glaring at the headless reptile, Kzel tried to find some stones with sharp edges capable of cutting but decided to use his hands.

With just an effortless pull, Kzel ripped a leg from its hinges that left him in awe.

"Whoa! That's a lot of strength." Kzel murmured and proceeded to rip another leg.

Next, he removed the scales and proceeded to the fire while dragging the large legs. He wanted to eat them raw, but decided not.
