Kzel's eyes narrowed as he took a bite from an apple resembling fruit. He expected more--like a traditional RPG. Where are the Strength, Agility and Intelligence?
>>More will be revealed as you progress<<
"I see." Kzel stood up and another notification appeared in his vision.
>>Player have a very hight tendency to die<<
Kzel frowned. In the end, the system admitted that it hasn't acknowledged his existence yet.
Just when the Rzir turned around, Naevnir exited the shack without her leather armor.
"Are you not going to wear your armor?" Kzel asked.
"No. My shoulders are stiff." Naevnir bluntly replied.
"You must," Kzel went inside and retrieved the leather armor. He helped her wear it.
"What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" Naevnir raised a brow.
"It's better to wear this with a body like that." Kzel explained.
A teasing smile appeared on her face as she said, "Understood."
Kzel went ahead and led the way after tossing some fruits that he foraged to Naevnir.
After about an hour of walking, Naevnir halted on her track and called out to Kzel, "Husband! Did you hear that?"
"Yes." Kzel warily nodded, focusing on his hearing.
For a dozen seconds, the faunas did not make any sound. It was clearer now as it echoed through the sloping valley. A defeaning roar followed by the agonizing scream of a man.
The duo did not rushed to the rescue but treaded more carefully. After taking a couple of turns, the couple spotted a man cowering beneath a huge tree that dominated the nearby plants.
Naevnir's hands grabbed the hilt of her swords, considering if she should rob the man's corpse. Kzel on the other hand was thinking of getting information about the roar they heard earlier.
When they came near the man who already pissed his pants, Kzel was the first to approach him, "What are you afraid of?"
The man nervously turned his head and his eyes glimmered with hope upon seeing them but it immediately died out, "Forest Troll! It took my brother!"
Another roar reverberated in the air.
Upon hearing it, Naevnir was about to grab Kzel and pull him out of there but the Rzir took off into the direction of the violent sound. Without hesitation, Naevnir chased after him.
Kzel stopped beside a stream and silently dropped down on a knee. He then carefully observed the huge creature with blue complexion dragging a mangled corpse on the opposite side of the stream.
"What are you doing?" Whispered Naevnir who knelt on his side before redirecting her eyes to where her husband was looking.
"I just wanted to see it." Kzel whispered back. To his surprise, Naevnir jumped down to the stream and charged at the creature with swords drawn.
Kzel was shocked at the sight. He was only there out of curiousity and yet she is the first one to jump into the fray.
The troll was alarmed after sensing the new presence as it swiveled to the direction of the sounds and growled at the stupid couple that invaded its territory.
After discarding the corpse, the troll swung its long and powerful arm at Naevnir who was within striking range. Naevnir ducked under the swing, a move she found effective during her bout with Kzel.
Naevnir entered a very low stance, her head was almost at the same level with her lead leg and the hilt of one of her sword under her chin that extended forward. She started slashing the legs of the troll which earned multiple howls of pain.
Eager to retaliate from the relentless attacks, the troll endured the pain and raised both of its arms. It brought down its hands and smashed the ground, causing the ground to crack followed by a tremor. Naevnir was forced to abandon her assault and could only roll away due to the awkwardness of her stance.
Naevnir grimaced. The troll was tough. Her swords can only penetrate a few inches of its thick hidez barely making any lasting damage.
The troll commenced its turn for offensive. As it was about to charge at Naevnir, Kzel who circled around--slashed its back and a shriek escaped the beast's mouth. It turned around with hateful eyes, locking it at the dishonorable figure that dared to backstab it.
Never to miss any opportunity, Naevnir also slashed its rear with both swords repeatedly. The creature roared in pain and swung its arm like a spinning backfist.
Naevnir instinctively hopped back but the claws of the creature grazed her shoulder. However, it turned its back to its more cunning opponent. Kzel leaped into the air for a higher and vulnerable target. He brought down his sword with both hands towards its head. The tip of his sword pierced its skull until it reached its brain.
The life on the troll's eyes left and it limped lifeless on the ground. Naevnir was not satisfied yet as she started chopping its neck until its head fall off. She then picked the huge head, more than thrice the size of her own and grinned, "This ugly face will fetch a nice price."
While Naevnir reveled on the bounty. She realized that they just killed a forest troll. Naturally, she might need to organize a dozen men to hunt one. With her husband's presence, she will be unstoppable.
Kzel looked around until he found a cave nearby. He warily approached its entrance and smiled at the sight that greeted him. Silvers and golds were scattered ready to be claimed after slaying its hoarder.

Kzel started looting until Naevnir noticed his absence. When she found him, she also started picking the shiny things on the ground.
