XLVI

Sulic proudly stood, observing the twenty new recruits that the three Vigilants brought. Most of the recruits were consisted of players. They treated this as a special quest. What's ahead, they do not know. All they can think are the Unique Items that they will be rewarded with.

Twelve Vigilants stood at the back of Sulic for the initiation. Although, all of the Vigilants were present, there was no sign of Carl.

"Threndal's voice is judgement. You all must abide--" Sulic trailed on his speech after noticing that the crowd before him shared the same expression. Panic. He curiously turned his head to the side where all their eyes are concentrated. In that instance, he saw three hooded figure descended from the sky. His legs began to tremble. Just by their presence, he can determine that they are very, very powerful existences.

"I-Impossible! Did-Did we somehow offended them that they came to annihilate us?" One of the Vigilants tried to take a step back but found that he couldn't. The auras of the figures froze his muscles and his brain could not command them anymore.

As the figures gently landed on the ground, Masvi who was a player, saw their levels. He swallowed hard and directed his attention at Sulic. 'What now? These are Chaos Cultists! They will surely show no mercy!'

Fabian who heard the commotion went outside the hall to investigate. Upon seeing the three figures, he immediately sprinted and stopped at a five meters distance from the trio and respectfully bowed, "Mistresses!"

"Where is the Bringer? I can't sense him because of the Scarf of Death." One of the three figures spoke. Her voice carried murderous intent.

"He accompanied a Vigilant last night to retrieve some herbs. They should be back by now." Fabian answered.

Aviree did not want to waste her voice and extended a hand towards Fabian who began to convulse as she searched for the information she needed in his memory. She then shared the information to Cleera and Rjeinz(Ri'yenz).

"It seems the Bringer have a devious reason for dawdling in this place." Cleera mused while scanning the area.

"Please! Our humble Hall never offended your faction.." Many thoughts swirled inside the head of Sulic. Right now, he's trying to read the faces of the women if he somehow offended them just by speaking.

Without warning, Rjeinz stepped forward and flicked a chaos essence to Sulic. Chaos invaded Sulic's mind, a moment later he saw a chaos eye opening in his soul. "No!"

"Do you feel the chaos inside you, Hall Master?" Rjeinz whispered, and also flicked chaos essence to the rest of the Vigilants. "Watch.. as your fellow brothers and sisters who have troubled minds concerning the future of the Vigilants, turn into chaos servants too."

Masvi crawled to Paula's side and tried to ease her pain from the opening of the chaos eye. Somehow, there's relief in his eyes. They won't be killed since they are on the chaos side now.

"I'm sick.."

"Shhh. We will be fine."

Rjeinz then turned her attention at the crowd and announced, "Despair now as you have witness the presence of chaos. Those who accept to join the Vigilants will also be given the gift of chaos and those who oppose will perish in an instance!"

Some of the players and NPC were hesitant while most of the players couldn't control themselves from excitement!

"This is really a special quest! Let's go!" Most of the players cheered and marched to Sulic. When the Chaos Cultist snapped her fingers, the hesitant NPCs and Players turned to ashes. Those players that died immediately posted their experience in the EDGE.

"Crap! It's good that we selected the right choice." The players that are still alive cheered once more.

"Go on. Initiate them." Rjeinz told Sulic who seemed to be looking at her for directions.

It took nearly three hours to initiate the thirteen new recruits in the Flames of Justice. Sulic was still confuse as to why the Chaos Cultists would allow him to bath them in the Lights of Threndal.

"What rules should we follow?" Masvi who was still holding Paula, asked out loud.

"You do whatever you want." Fabian was the one to answer. The mistresses did not need to waste their voice, "But obey the authorities of chaos."

"My, my.. What a peculiar sight!" A familliar voice announced his presence.

"Bringer!" The three women greeted, including Fabian.

When Kzel finally climbed up, another was trailing behind him. Rjeinz immediately stepped forward with a chaos essence on her finger, but Kzel shielded the other man.

"Brother Mornen here already agreed to open his chaos eye and pledge loyalty to chaos." Kzel explained his action.

"I see." Rjeinz lowered her hand and took a step back. She then whispered to the ears of Aviree and Cleera, "Something's different with the Bringer."

"Where's Sulic?" Kzel shouted, showing sign of haste. When Sulic did not come, he immediately dashed to Masvi and spoke quietly, "You know the consequences after those other players died. Tell Sulic that we must move now or the Order will find us!"

Masvi nodded, he then stood up and comforted Paula, "I'll be back."

"It seems the Bringer does not want to confront the Order." Cleera teased with a smile.

Kzel wiped the sweat on his forehead before turning to three women and asked, "Did you complete the Chaos Circle?"

"Yes, Bringer. We need to create six more before doing the ritual." Rjeinz answered.
