Chp 40:Suspicious figure

Lucas's POV:

"Yeah hah sure you do." I muttered with disbelief.

"What? I carried you back home and took responsibility over my actions did I not?"

Evan responded, attempting to persuade me of his good nature. I rose an eyebrow, showing my disdane.

I was a little upset from the sudden exhaustion I experienced earlier today as I was already worn out from yesterdays actions and yet Evan continued.

I know I may or may not of encouraged his behavior. But he shouldn't of gone ahead with it knowing my already flimsy condition. It's no wonder I collapsed, almost passing out completely.

Even though I was upset about it, I couldn't keep pushing him away as part of the blame did fall onto me. I shouldn't of provoked him, I know what hes like.

"Alright I'll let you off...if." I paused thinking of something he could do for me.

"If.. you take out the trash and being up the mail." I requested, attempting to get Evan to do some of my chores whilst hanging onto my anger from the current situation.

He sighed in defeat and agreed.

"Alright I'll go do it now then. You get some rest my kitty." He teased, but received no reaction from me.

I simply thanked him wth a smile and a quick kiss. I was already used to being referred to as 'kitty' by now. He always used it as a way to rile me up before, but I don't really care much for it any more. So if he got some sort of satisfaction from calling me kitty, I'll let him.

Evan closed the door behind him and did as he was told. 'Good boy!' I thought to myself as I snuggled further into the blanket.

I rested for a bit and awoke to the sight of a strange figure in the bedroom. It was slim and hid in the shadows, bearly noticeable.

My first thoughts were Evan, but that wasn't his body shape at all. This silhouette was hourglass shaped, like a curvy lady.

Like most people fear struck my heart. 'Who the hell was in the room? How'd they get in? Where's Evan?'

"H-Hello?" I called out to the figure. Realizing it had been spotted it jolted back a bit.

I wanted to turn the light on but that switch was at the door, which I wasn't close to at all.

'My phone, I could use my flashlight on my phone. That could work.' But the figures existence freaked me out, filling my head with numerous scenarios where the figure attacks me.

My body wouldn't move, the unknown terrified me. I felt that the slightest movement could cause his being to kill me.

'I could scream for Evan? Nah, I'd be dead by the time he comes in here.'

'And I don't even know where Evan is. let alone if he's still in the house. He might've left for a minute whilst I slept.

I forced back my fear, popping the bubble in my throat and beginning to talk again.

"W-who are you?" I stuttered with expectation of death.

The figures head titled sideways and came closer.
