One

Its been years, 8 years to be exact when they last saw each other. During her last year in U.A, after graduation to be exact, she knew she couldn't hate him no matter how hard she try, she just can't, knowing the real reason of their break up was to protect her from the very first place.

"Hey"

Her eyes perk up, eyes shifting from the screen of her laptop to the person who called her. Her purple iris meet with his heterochromia eyes.

Not like she didn't see this coming, this was the cafe they used to have their dates back then. But during the past 8 years, this was the first time they actually bump into each other.

"Oh... Hey"

Awkwardness linger on her voice, makes her laugh mentally.

She notice how he was holding his drinks and stuffs, this must be his day off at the agency, but do heroes really get day off? She wonder at the same time couldn't careless.

"Would... would you mind if i sit here?"

She look around, noticing how the cafe was quite full at the moment. And how many people notice that one of the top 3 heroes was currently on this cafe, staring at the man in front of her.

It was quite awkward, but she nod, quickly fixing the messy table full of her papers and at the same time put her laptop aside. Now noticing that her coffee was now cold, and how there are only crumbles left on her plate of pastry.

He sat infront of her, gently placing his tray of food on the table. She examine him for a moment. He was wearing a plain white T-shirt underneath his black jacket.

"This is awkward"

She chuckle, looking away at him.

"Still as blunt as ever, I see"

She smile at him,

"Of course not, It's been 8 years after all"

She look at her watch,

"Oh see. I got to go"

She stated, quickly arranging her things, putting them on the case of laptop and grabbing her now cold coffee as she stood up, ready to walk out side when

'I still love you.'

She bit her dry lips,

This is wrong, she knew she really shouldn't be going on his head yet she did.

Yet she didn't react, acting as if she didn't hear him on her mind, it was confusing. He wasn't thinking after that, nor she really care. As she went out outside, she walk past the table he was sitting on, as she did, she can't help but to see him in her peripheral vision. He was looking down on his drinks, she shift her hold on her coffee as it was about to fall down

'Alice, I know you're listening.'

'Stop it.'

She frown, giving in.

Alice knew she could have just shut her quirk, but no, she can't help it.

'We made a promise.'

Alice can't help but to scoff in her mind after that.

'We all know that's bullshit Todoroki-san.'

She replied to him, sarcasm dripping on every word.

'Why did you suddenly disappear?'

She hate going on his mind, the last time Alice talk to him like this was the day he broke things up with her 8 years ago, this was the first time after years. She stop on her tracks, she know he can't see her at this point.

'I don't know. Though, it's not your fault.'

'You removed the promise ring that I gave you.'

She throw her coffee in the nearest trashcan, looking at the text she just received.

'Todoroki-san, stop talking like that. We both know I'm not the one getting married two weeks from now.'

She cut off the mental connection the two of them are having.

She curse herself mentally.

It still hurts.
