CHAPTER 40

It was 7:30 am. The cleaners at MMO Company were just arriving one after the others and going straight to the dressing room, to change to their uniforms and started the cleaning especially the offices, before the staffs started arriving.

Sound of the door opened, one of the cleaners left the dress room with all what she could need and leaving the corridor, some were still in the room changing their clothes, greeting each other and also gossiping.

The cab that Somia brought to work droved inside the company around 8:30 am, as it was packing that was when Semirat's car too droved inside and packed at the right hand side of the cab. Somia brought her wallet out from the bag, opened it and paid the cab man, she greeted them and getting other from the car.

Semirat too was just coming out from her car, carrying two bags. Her handbag and lunch bag, leaving the driver's side when she and Somia saw each other. Two of them were very happy to see each other like they haven't see each other for a week not know that they met yesterday; Somia stepped back a little for the cab driver to drive away from that place including Semirat too staying at where she was standing. Two of them walked closed to each other after few second that the cab drove far from them.

"Good morning girl! You resumed early today because I know you are a latecomer!" Somia said with smile and mocking Semirat.

"Somia! You are not serious at all, so you can said this. You know now, before I dropped Tomiwa at his own school and turned back from there and coming here; with all this Lagos traffic that is why I use to late sometimes, but today God send a helper. I just received a call from Raheem CEO's friend that he is the one that is taking his nephew to school today that can I bring Tomiwa over to his place so that he can drop them together. I am so happy like even he is one that go and pick them after closing" Semirat said with smile on her face.

"Hmm!! I can see there are a lot of gist on ground between you and Raheem, something has been about to go down!" Somia started singing with smile on her face.

"This most not be carry out! I must hear it, during break I will be in your office. I must know it, this he is the one taking Tomiwa to school, bring him home. Hmm! I am suspecting____"

"Suspecting what! You are not serious. Even there is something important I want to tell you!" Somia looked at Semirat because as she said it her mood changed.

"Your mood changed! Hope it's not something really serious! Let go in and sign, I will tell you during the break time. Let go inside!" said and walking to the front.

"Okay! If you said so!" Somia said and walking behind her.

The secretary too just resumed, bending down and arranging her small office. Somia put her handbag down on the cabinet as they got to the front of the secretary and greeting her. The young lady raised her head up with a very long hardcover book and put it down.

"Good morning!" She replied to their greetings as she was opening the book for them.

Somia brought a pen out from her bag, signed at where she supposed to sign and gave the pen to Semirat. Semirat returned back pen to Somia and faced back; as they faced back they saw Funbi behind just arriving.

"Good morning Funbi!" Semirat and Somia greeted her as the same colleagues, she just looked at them with bad eye, hisses and passed beside them going to the secretary.

"What always use to wrong with that Oluwafunbi self?" Semirat said with anger.

"Just ignore her! Just trying to best a good friend for Iqmat, that it's her problem!" Somia said with loud voice, looking at Funbi.

"Sweetheart! See you during the break. Later!" Semirat said, leaving the place and going to their various offices.

Somia opened the door as she got the entrance of the CEO's office and entered, she saw where cleaned as she entered and well arranged. She put her bag down on her own desk, cleaned the chair again and sat down on it. Brought her laptop out from her bag, connect it charger to the wall socket and opened it. Entering the password when the door opened widely, she stood up as she saw Ashar entering and Funbi too entered with him helping him to carry his back bag.

"Good morning my PA and how was your night?" Asked with smile on his face.

"It was fine Sir! Thank you sir!" She sat down back and continued with what she was doing.

"Thank you very much Funbi!" Showed his appreciation for helping him with the bag,

"You are welcome Sir! Should I pour coffee for you Sir?" Funbi asked.

"My PA will do that even I can do that. Not need okay!"

"I just thought I should do it, since she doesn't know what to do!" Said with rudeness.

"Watch your mouth young lady! Nothing concern you about what we are doing here or teaching her what to do. You can go please!" Ashar replied her back and with anger because they both know what Funbi was trying to do.

"What about the file! Can I take it!" look at Somia with bad eye.

"No! Come back for it. Can you leave now please?" Said with loud voice.

"Are you now angry because of her? Well I will send someone for the file!" Said with low voice, looked at Somia as she was looking at her and leaving the office.

"Please! Sorry for that Somia!" Ashar apologies and sound of the door closed loudly.

"You don't have to Sir!" Somia said and Ashar smiles at her as he was going to his seat.

It was 1:08 pm. It was already a break time for all the staffs in MMO Company; Somia was still working on the laptop and fasting with it so that she could go and see Semirat. Ashar looked at the time on his phone and stood up from his seat.

"It's break time already, let go for lunch and come back to what you are doing later!"

"Sir!" Somia said loudly as she raised her face up.

"Let go for Lunch, stop what you are doing and let us go!" He said with order.

"I am so sorry! I have an urgent mail to reply to right now and also I want to go to Audit department to see Semirat, it's like she has something that is bothering her. I am so sorry sir!" she said with low voice.

"It okay! Maybe I should just go to the restaurant instead and buy food for two of us"

"Don't worry Sir! I have a snakes in my bag, I will eat that!" She said with low voice.

"Okay! If you said so" said with smile and leaving the rom. Somia breath in as Ashar left and continued with what she was going.

Somia got up after few minutes, off the laptop and leaving the office. She closed the door well and walking along the corridor.

It was Somia that Semirat was waiting for, sitting on her chair and playing with a pen. Somia got to Audit department, opened the door and entering, a young man that like Somia just as a friend at Audit department walked closed to her.

"My friend is here! My one and only friend is here!" the man said with smile as he hugged Somia.

"I have been waiting for you know! Just keeps me waiting!" Semirat said as she stood up.

"Don't shut at my friend! Old friend!" the man said and he was a very fun person.

"You are not serious! Let go Somia, when we get there I tell you that!" She smiled.

"Okay! Let go girls!" the man used his two hands to cross the ladies neck and going out.

"Somia! It's like I should remove the ring on my wife's hand and give you!." All of them laughed, he just like to be making jokes.

"Maybe you will cut her figure with it!" Somia said and all of them laughing as they were going out.

They turned to their right hand side as they got to the compound, continued talking and smiling loudly that the security were looking at them.

"Fine! Fine!! Hold your new friend but remember she will go to her own office!" Semirat said with smile as she removed the man's hand from her neck.

"Huu! Let go inside jor my new friend!" The guys said and going inside when Semirat was walking behind them.

Three of them entered, looking at everywhere and searching from a place to sit from where they were standing. Ashar's eye went straight to the entrance door and saw Somia and the man putting his hand on her neck and two of them smiling at each other. Ashar got jealous as he saw them, felt bad and looking at them.
