"That Child called Yuhi Kurenai, let's not talk about her talent for now. Her luck is really something. The technique Asahi mentioned, suitable for her, should be the one she used on you yesterday."

Kurama said this with a hint of emotion, making Kushina somewhat speechless.

Indeed, the technique mentioned by Asahi was the one he had just acquired, the Secret Art: Genjutsu - Kyoka Suigetsu as it was believed to be very suitable for Yuhi Kurenai.

....

"Oh? Yuhi Kurenai?" Hearing Asahi's words, Sarutobi Hiruzen furrowed his brow.

While he hoped Asahi would take on more disciples, he wasn't sure about making a direct decision regarding Yuhi Kurenai.

Unlike Obito, who was on the periphery of the Uchiha clan, Yuhi Kurenai was the daughter of the head of the Yuhi clan.

Her father, Yuhi Shinku, was a top genjutsu master in Konoha. Initially, he had planned to train Kurenai himself.

However, Asahi's suggestion made Hiruzen feel that with some skillful maneuvering, he might be able to gain a favor from Asahi.

Upon seeing Hiruzen's furrowed brow, Asahi asked, "What's wrong, Hokage? Are you having difficulties deciding?"

Hiruzen, without hiding anything, explained, "You may not be aware, but Kurenai is the daughter of Yuhi Shinku, our village's most outstanding genjutsu master. He originally intended to train Kurenai himself."

Upon hearing this, Asahi instantly understood. It was only natural for a father, being the top genjutsu master in Konoha, to want to personally train his daughter.

However, Asahi, undeterred, confidently said to Hiruzen, "I understand, Hokage. As long as I can prove that my proficiency in genjutsu surpasses Kurenai's father, there shouldn't be any difficulties, right?"

Asahi smiled at Hiruzen, showing no signs of fear in the presence of Konoha's foremost genjutsu master.

This left Hiruzen momentarily stunned. Prove? How to prove it? A competition, perhaps?

"It can be interpreted that way."

With these words, Asahi chuckled lightly. With the acquisition of Kyoka Suigetsu, his confidence in his genjutsu skills soared. He didn't believe Yuhi Shinku could produce a genjutsu stronger than his Secret Art.

"In that case, it's easy. Please, Hokage, communicate with Kurenai's father. If that doesn't work, we can also have a genjutsu competition."

Sarutobi Hiruzen readily agreed to this request, even though it deviated from his initial thoughts. He also wanted to see the mysterious strength of Asahi, a powerful individual.

Though it was only a genjutsu competition, it could reveal a lot.

However, with this decision, the time for sorting students into classes would be postponed.

"Inform everyone that the sorting will be in the afternoon today. Let the students take a rest for now."

Hiruzen said to the Anbu ninja beside him in a low voice.

Hiruzen's efficiency in handling matters was quite high, and with Yuhi Shinku present, things were quickly sorted out.

If Hiruzen wanted Kurenai to be accepted by Asahi, Yuhi Shinku wouldn't refuse. However, to consider Kurenai's feelings, Hiruzen wanted to handle the situation carefully.

Initially, when Asahi asked him, Hiruzen showed some hesitation, but now, he was eager to see the strength of this mysterious powerhouse.

Little did he expect Asahi to propose a competition, and given the circumstances, Hiruzen was happy to go along with it.

Therefore, when Yūhi Shinku, who had initially agreed without hesitation to Hokage's wish for Kurenai to be accepted by Asahi, received a mission, he was tasked with testing Asahi's strength to the fullest.

Asahi who wanted to test genjutsu against him, had already piqued Shinku interest. Now, with this additional mission, he was naturally on high alert.

In a secluded training ground exclusive to the Anbu, cleared of all Anbu members by Sarutobi Hiruzen, there were only a few individuals present who were privy to Asahi's information, such as Tsunade, Kurama, and Kushina.

Except for them, the only person unfamiliar with Asahi's background was Yūhi Shinku.

"Asahi-dono, Shinku. When you both engage, please be cautious not to get injured."

Standing between Asahi and Shinku, Sarutobi Hiruzen advised with a smile.

"Don't worry, Hokage-sama."

Shinku, in his Anbu vestment, quickly responded.

Asahi also nodded, indicating that he understood.

Seeing that both were ready, Hiruzen didn't say much more and directly announced the start of the match, leaving the stage to the two participants.

Almost the moment Hiruzen left, the atmosphere on the field instantly became tense.

"Asahi-dono, I'm about to attack. Please be careful!"

'Genjutsu: Absolute Lotus Bloom!'

As the momentum on his surged, Yūhi Shinku decisively initiated his attack.

Genjutsu users emphasize the importance of striking first, but since it was a friendly match, he reminded Asahi before making a move.

Asahi simply nodded, rapidly channeling chakra within him, preparing to resist Yūhi Shinku's genjutsu.

Since it was a genjutsu competition, Asahi didn't choose to evade or counterattack; instead, he decided to withstand Yūhi Shinku's assault head-on.

This way, he can better showcase his strength.

As Yūhi Shinku, unleashed a genjutsu towards Asahi, upon hitting him, it was as if it vanished without a trace, leaving no ripples.

Witnessing this, Yūhi Shinku's expression instantly became more serious.

As for Asahi, there was no sense of surprise.

Chakra from Sage Jutsu inherently had high resistance against genjutsu.

Coupled with Asahi's extraordinary mental strength and the enhancement from the Secret Art, ordinary genjutsu had no effect on him whatsoever.

Even if it were a forbidden-level genjutsu, with proper preparation, Asahi could resist it, regardless of the caster, even if it were Yūhi Shinku.

"The power is impressive, but it's still not enough! Now, it's my turn."

"Secret Art: Genjutsu - Kyoka Suigetsu!"

To maintain his own style, Asahi reluctantly uttered some pretentious words, then immediately went all out.

At that moment, Yūhi Shinku felt like he was transported to a world filled with flames.

Endless flames emitted scorching heat, enveloping him. He realized that he had fallen victim to a genjutsu.

Trying to disrupt his own chakra flow, Yūhi Shinku found that he had no influence on the operation of this genjutsu.

Can't dispel it with conventional methods? Yūhi Shinku whispered in his mind.
