THE PROJECT

The meeting room was still filled with a serious atmosphere, as all the 100 gods were divided into the left and right of the table, they sat opposite to each other inside the rectangular room which had black walls, ceilings and floor with two large glass windows were waiting for Gio to explain the urgent matter, Gio suddenly had a serious look on his face, he leaned on the table and clasped his both hands and started the meeting.

"Well, I have two major announcements to make,--

First, regretfully the great progenitor is dead."

As he said those words, all became startled and a shocked and surprised look rose over the faces of all the others gods, the room became soundless while everyone remained dumbfounded over the sudden statement.

Slowly-slowly the gods shook of their faces of surprise and the #51 God <> asked.

"Wha... What do you mean by that, the great progenitor who preached the profound knowledge of <> is dead, is this a joke?"

Gio released a sigh from his face and eliminated his rigid look and replied.

"Well, what can we do about it, he had been living for over 300 years, and we knew that he would pass away the next year or the other, and..... so on his funeral every god in the<> is ordered to attend which will be held tomorrow i.e. 12 January 2021 ."

All the gods overcame their surprise, and accepted the fact that he was dead, and agreed to attend the funeral with all their heart.

Gio resumed back to giving off a rigid look on his face as soon as the first topic had been cleared, he clasped his hands together and moved onto the next declaration, but it seemed more like a random question to the others at first.

"Now, let's move on. to the second matter, but first I wanna ask a question to all of you--

Do you all get bored watching the surface and the humans from here, doesn't any one here wants to have some fun."

Gio asked the question which brought a look of uncertainty on everyone's faces and they all can't understand that how was this question related to the second important announcement.

The #9 God <> had a look of discontentment with mean eyes on his ugly old face and questioned.

"Huh... why do you ask, what's the meaning of asking such a stupid question, it's all nonsense."

Gio turned his face towards Albisia and responded in a hard and strong tone with his eyes pin-pointed on him.

"Please, don't ask any stupid questions, and answer the question I asked."

As Gio made himself clear, Albisia shivered in terror due to the pressure he felt in his words as if his heart was going to get crushed in the next few seconds. He answered while quivering in a low and frail voice.

"Yes".

After a while, Gio received a few answers to his question. The #21 God <> answered while he kept his left hand on his chin with his face held high and gave a serious and mighty look on his brown face with his arms locked in the front and his left leg over his right one.

"Well, Lord Gio if you ask us if we have fun or not, then it's kinda boring, y'know just watching the humans doing their stuff which isn't even interesting, but we can't do anything about it, their world is sort of lame, and it isn't that much fun."

"Yes, it's kinda like that."

"I also agree, it always feels sort of lacking."

The other gods also agreed with him, while Gio listened to their answers he smiled on his own and closed his eyes and responded.

"Yes...Yes, now stop, I listened to all of your answers, if you ask me, I feel the exactly same way as all of you, everyone wants to have fun- whether god or human, why do we have to get bored watching the foolish humans, so why don't we play a <>, with the humans and gods both getting involved?"

All of the gods looked at Gio with confused and complex reactions, they didn't fully comprehend what he meant by a game.

"Umm... what do you mean by a game?"

"Yes, Lord Gio please explain it briefly."

While they continued to ask questions about the game, he banged the table with his right hand that created a loud noise and a super-sonic wave that could even give a heart attack to a normal human, he gently lifted his hands and took a deep breath.

"Now everyone- please pay attention, I am going to explain everything, but first please have a look at the table, I made a <<3D Hologram>> on it."

Everyone saw a 3D hologram on the table, they saw a very detailed and thorough three-dimensional figure of the planet<>, above the comprehensive figure, they saw something written in bold letters which rotated from left to right in whole blue, it said <>, everyone was wondering what was this project and why did Gio displayed this 3d rendered Earth to them. So in behalf of everyone the #44 God <> questioned him with her slender but strong voice.

"Lord Gio, why did you presented this in front of us, and can you please explain what does this project refers to?"

"Yes, of course, after all it is the second major topic for today's urgent meeting.", Gio said with a lot of confidence filled in his words.

"Well, don't mind the seriousness the word 'project' gives off, it is simply a game, our game, the <>, ok then, let's get to the point and let me explain what the GOD's Play is, it isn't something very complicated, we just have to descend to the surface, form a <> with the humans, and fight for the top spot, a <> with a god and a human as partners fighting together with their lives on the line until only one of the duo survives, this is what it is all about."

All the other gods' expressions became priceless as soon as Gio's explanation was over, well it was the first time something so nut-cracking was going to happen, all of their mouths were opened and filled with thunderbolts and surprise, many of them smiled while many were worried, a collection of various expression could have recorded at that time.

"Umm... descend to the surface, form a contract, and fight among ourselves, isn't it a bit too much, I don't think the universal court will allow such madness." said the #75 god <> with a lot of confusion mixed in.

"NO... no you shouldn't be worried about that Seren, the court has already given their permission to descend and as well as to form a contract, everything is ready."

As soon as Alice heard that the court had given their permission for this game, she became very uncertain regarding the project with a face of suspicion, she was undoubtedly doubting Gio. As Gio saw her, he gave a nasty smirk and gazed at her directly into the eye and spoke his mind.

"Alice, is something the problem, it seems like you don't believe me that the court has given their permission, if you have something to say, then please make it clear in front of everyone.'

After she heard the provocation, Alice stood up with her eyebrows tightened and her eyes glowing-sharp, she started stating her mind.

"Yes, I can't believe you, why would the court go out of their way to approve such a project of hideousness, if you have some kind of proof, then please present it in front of everyone, or are you going to pressure me to not ask questions that you can't answer."

Gio smiled with a lot of confidence and laughed "Hahaha.... No, no why would I do that?"

He stood up from his seat and opened his left hand and raised with his palm on the top and chanted a few words.

""

His left hand started glowing and suddenly blue mist is surrounded around his whole left hand after the completion of the chant and as soon as the mist cleared, a golden scroll was visible to everyone and all the members present were astonished after they saw that, well it was surprising as Gio summoned the <> it was a scroll produced by the chairman of the universal court, and whatever was written inside it was permitted, whatever it may be. As Gio summoned it in his left hand, the confidence on the face shined more and more.

"Well, let's see what is written the scroll."

Gio slowly opened the scroll and started reading the scroll very loud and clear, audible to every one present there.

"I, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE UNIVERSAL COURT PERMIT THE PROJECT GOD'S PLAY<, ALL THE 100 GODS ARE ALLOWED TO DESCEND AND FORM CONTRACT WITH OTHERS AND FIGHT FOR THE TOP SPOT."

As the statement which was written in blue on the golden holy paper is heard by everyone, Alice had a unsatisfied look on her face, he slowly moved and brought the scroll over to Alice and gave it into her hand and requested

"If you still don't believe me, then please why not read it by yourself.", Gio spoke with a very proud face.

While Gio was busy rubbing off his arrogant face to Alice the #20 God <> asked a very important question to Gio.

"Umm... Lord Gio, may I ask a question?"

Gio glanced at him with a happy smile and allowed him by nodding his head.

"Well, you said about the thing for fighting for the top, so if we do that, then what do we gain from it."

As Gio heard Louis his eyes widened and he gave a pleased smile while returning back to his seat.

"Ohh... thank you Louis for reminding me, I almost forgot it, well to make it clear the god who takes the top spot will become a <> and will be the owner of the <> and as well as become the representative of the gods at the Universal Court , is it clear?"

Everyone was surprised again, this meeting was full of surprises and thunderbolts, many of the gods responded very greedily as expected, well everyone wanted to be a grand god and own a seat in the court.

"What did you say, gra... grand god and seat in the court."

"It is indeed a very good offer, you should have mentioned that first."

Gio seemed to be pleased by their reactions as he successfully persuaded them to participate, with a smirk on his face, he loudly clasped his hands to gain everyone's attention.

"Everyone, now then if everything is clear, let's take a majority vote for the game, ... now who ever wants to participate please raise their hands and and who dosn't wanna play please remain as you are."

As soon as the voting began, the majority of the gods raised their hands to participate, well most of them were greedy for the fact that the prize was so enormous.

"Now, let's count .....50.... 60....70...80, ohh.. let's see so in total there total 80 of them who agree, so my vote goes for participating too, and now there are 81 participants who agreed and 19 who don't , well... well so according to the majority everyone has to participate."

As he declared those words like he tried to make a mockery of the 19 who didn't agree, they all become displeased.

"Ehhh..... Why, we don't want to, then why?"

"Umm.. you see, the voting has nothing to do with it, it was just for me seeing who were agreeing, the fact is that it is an order, if you don't understand, then Alice please read the lower portion of the scroll which is written in white."

Alice glanced at Gio and nods, well she can't refuse as it was an command.

"It says, <>"

Alice finished reading and as they heard the command, they had no option but to participate because the order of the court were <>.

"Now that you have heard it and all the matters have been dealt with, so then everyone please descend to the surface after attending the funeral tomorrow and find some humans who can use <> and form a contract, you all can at least find 100 of them."

At that time Gio had a very hideous thought in his head--

'Well, after all- we have a lot to look forward to, in tomorrow's funeral.'

All of the gods adhered to Gio's command and shouted simultaneously.

"YES!!!"

"OK then, let's play the game and enjoy ourselves, let the <>, <>."

This was how the it all began and lead to the development of the <> who will have to defend everything, and everyone.
