Chapter 9: A Saiyan's Arrival

Akuma Observes from Afar

Perched above the planet, floating in the vastness of space, Akuma narrowed his eyes at the scene below.

Two figures stood in an open field covered with yellow flowers. One was a short, spiky-haired warrior with a noticeable eggplant-shaped head.

The other?

A Saiyan.

But not just any Saiyan.

Akuma could feel it—an uncanny familiarity. The aura, the energy, even the raw nature of his Ki bore a resemblance to his own, yet there was a distinct difference.

He grinned.

"Heh… That guy's definitely a Saiyan, but something about him feels... outdated. A rundown version of myself, huh?"

His smirk widened into a mischievous grin.

"Well then… maybe a little introduction is in order."

With a flick of his wrist, he released a fraction of his power—about 50% of his maximum.

BOOOOM!

A sudden surge of energy rippled across the planet, sending shockwaves through the atmosphere.

"Hehehe… let's see how they react."

Goku's POV – Otherworld (Heaven)

Amidst a tranquil field of flowers, a large tree stood at the center, and hanging from its thick branches was a cocoon-like prison—a sight that would be comedic if not for the frustration behind it.

Goku stood beneath the tree, hands on his hips, gazing up.

"Yo, Frieza!" Goku called, his voice echoing through the peaceful surroundings.

The cocoon twisted slightly, revealing a familiar face.

Frieza.

With a raised brow, the once-feared tyrant of the universe examined Goku, his golden eyes narrowing.

"My, oh my," Frieza said with his signature condescending smirk. "Are you dead, or am I just hallucinating?"

---

End of Goku's POV

Frieza's "Rescue"

"Yo, Frieza!" Goku repeated, crossing his arms.

The Galactic Emperor let out a long sigh, eyes filled with disinterest.

"Oh? What do you want, Goku? Surely, you didn't come all the way to this hellish paradise for a social call."

Goku scratched the back of his head. "I dunno, this place doesn't seem so bad. Kinda peaceful, actually."

Frieza's eye twitched.

"Peaceful for you, perhaps," he spat. "For me, this is hell."

Goku smirked. "Well, how about getting out of here for a bit?"

Frieza's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You're up to something."

"Pretty much!" Goku admitted with a laugh.

They locked eyes, neither blinking. Then, Goku broke the silence.

"Frieza, we need another fighter for the Tournament of Power. You help us, and when it's over, we use the Dragon Balls to bring you back. How about it?"

Frieza raised an eyebrow. "A tournament, you say?"

Before he could decline, Goku casually flicked his wrist, sending a Destruction Disc slicing through the cocoon.

SHING!

The prison snapped apart, and Frieza landed gracefully on the ground.

His lips curled into a dangerous grin.

"A battle against the strongest fighters across the multiverse?" He chuckled darkly. "How intriguing."

Earth – Goku and Frieza's "Warm-Up"

Not long after, Fortune Baba had transported Frieza back to Earth, where he stood face-to-face with Goku.

"Alright, Frieza," Goku warned. "Remember—no killing."

Frieza smiled innocently. "Hai, hai…"

Then—

WHAM!

Frieza punched Goku square in the face.

"Oops! My hand slipped," he said with a mocking chuckle.

Goku rubbed his cheek, grinning. "Heh… My hand slipped too."

WHAM!

He returned the favor, sending Frieza stumbling back.

As they exchanged blows, they failed to notice a watchful presence observing from above.

Akuma.

His golden eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Haha! So that's why his aura felt so familiar. He is a Saiyan… but he's nothing like me."

Suddenly, a rapid force approached him.

Akuma tensed.

"Did I get noticed?! Someone's coming—fast!"

WHOOSH!

A figure teleported in front of him, his arms crossed.

"Found you, mongrel!"

Akuma raised an eyebrow.

The new arrival had a tail.

A familiar aura.

And an incredibly punchable face.

"Ahhh… so you're the other Saiyan of this universe." Akuma smirked. "What's your name?"

The warrior smirked arrogantly.

"It's Prince Vegeta."

Akuma blinked.

"Prince?" He let out a short laugh. "What, you're some kind of royalty?"

Vegeta's smirk widened. "That's right. You should address me as such. I am stronger, superior, and of royal blood."

Akuma's grin faltered.

Then, his eye twitched.

"…Are you calling me a low-class Saiyan?"

"Of course," Vegeta scoffed. "It's just facts."

Akuma's veins popped.

A shadow crossed his face.

And then—

BOOOOM!

Without warning, his Ki exploded outward, sending a shockwave so intense that Vegeta was blasted hundreds of miles away.

Vegeta vs. Akuma – The Saiyan Clash Begins!

Vegeta skidded across the rocky terrain, slamming into a mountain.

"IMPOSSIBLE!!" he roared. "How can I be overpowered by anyone but Kakarrot?!"

Akuma descended, cracking his knuckles.

"'Impossible'?" He scoffed. "I think not. You've just been living under a rock all your life."

Vegeta's aura flared.

"ENOUGH!!" He snarled. "I'll show you the power of a Saiyan God!"

His body glowed, shifting into Super Saiyan Blue.

Akuma smirked.

"Oh, you're pulling out the shiny blue form already? Cute."

Then—

He transformed.

His muscles bulked, his eyes turned amethyst, and his energy surged to insane levels.

Vegeta's eyes widened.

"Wh-What… is that form?! It feels like the Great Ape, but—refined!"

Akuma grinned.

"It's called Ikaru. A power that your ancestors wielded before your 'God Ki' nonsense."

Vegeta snarled.

"Hmph!! You think your primitive transformation can rival me?!"

He charged forward.

BOOOM!

Their fists collided, sending shockwaves across the planet.

Meanwhile, Goku and Frieza looked up.

"Whoa," Goku muttered. "That guy's crazy strong."

Frieza shuddered.

"That Ki… It's… unnatural."

Then—

BOOOOM!

A new force arrived.

"That's enough!!"

A Hakai sphere shot toward Akuma—

Only to be nullified effortlessly.

Akuma turned to the newcomer.

"Oh? If it ain't Lord Beerus. And his babysitter, Whis."

Beerus' brow twitched.

"YOU'RE DEAD."
