Chapter Twenty Two: Soon I Will See You Again

They drank and gambled for the rest of the night until Bai Hua became tired and so everyone collectively decided to leave. After all they had snuck out in a foreign place and when you're part of the second most private sect it wouldn't be long until someone would notice their disappearance. Nie Asreal stayed back to help Yi Lian clean up and no one was going to interject to free labour and a comfy bed.

As Nie Asreal collected up the jars he watched as Yi Lian unsheathed Winters-Gaze and started to have a serious discussion with it.

Yi Lian told it softly, "I know he can be upsetting but you have to keep calm at times like that. Can you try that?"

Winters-Gaze dimmed which was the equivalent of sticking your tongue out. So Yi Lian just slid it back in quite aggressively, shut it's clasp and even shoved a talisman on it to stop it getting out even if Yi Lian were to summon it.

Nie Asreal chuckled, "I guess it's being uncooperative?"

Yi Lian nodded, walked over to the door and hung it up on the wall at the side with a sigh. Even though he'd seen so little of his family he still felt exhausted. Sure he enjoyed his friend's surprise visit but even with all the distractions he still felt a sense of worry beneath it all, eating at him from the back of his mind.

As he turned around he was shocked to see Nie Asreal before him with a shadowed expression. He smiled sweetly and took a step forward whilst Yi Lian took an automatic step back, then another, and another. Until his back thudded against the door.

Nie Asreal placed a hand next to his head, pinning him in place and leaned down towards him. "Finally alone…" He said softly. He looked so natural. Like he was just having a cheery conversation yet his actions felt that of a predator.

Yi Lian gulped but looked into his eyes, bringing one hand up to Nie Asreal's chest and clutching onto the fabric. "Mn."

Nie Asreal reached down beside his waist and locked the door. He had learnt this time. He had half a mind to lock the window too but he didn't want to move from this heaven.

His hand reached behind Yi Lian's waist and roamed across his back, bringing them closer and earning a small gasp from Yi Lian's lips as their bodies touched.

Nie Asreal couldn't bear it. He hadn't been able to sit still the entire day but now that he was here, in the moment, he felt paralysed. As if he was watching a play unfold, watching his actions from a distance and wondering why he wasn't just taking Yi Lian by the hair and kissing him until his lips bled.

Surprisingly Yi Lian was thinking similar thoughts and this time he was the one to act. He reached up and kissed him. He didn't know how or what he was doing but he did it. His arms reached around his neck. Nie Asreal pulled them both back away from the door and deepened the kiss so that he could take the control. Yi Lian gladly gave in.

They moved across the room and past the screen to the bed in a desperate array of movement. Nie Asreal lay Yi Lian back down slowly and carefully and climbed over him.

Yi Lian pulled away for a breath of air. They looked at eachother, trying to catch their breath but Yi Lian soon pulled down on Nie Asreal's lapel and back crashing down against him.

They stayed like this. Nie Asreal pressing him back down hard against the bed, achingly so, whilst Yi Lian tried to pull him closer and closer. It got to a point where Nie Asreal thought he may fall and would truly not be able to hold himself back so he sat back for a second and grabbed a hold of Yi Lian's wrists.

Nie Asreal spoke with a raspy voice, "Yi Lian… You want this right?"

Yi Lian nodded.

Nie Asreal pressed his wrists above his head and whispered next to his ear, "Good boys answer when they're spoken to…"

Yi Lian gulped and cleared his throat. "Yes… Please Nie Asreal."

He was so hot. His skin felt as if it were really on fire and it was starting to get uncomfortably so. He didn't want to stop but he felt like he couldn't breathe.

Nie Asreal saw his thoughts and asked, "What's wrong?"

Yi Lian shook his head. He didn't care. He could be on fire and he would rather continue then think about it.

"Your Highness." He said sternly.

Yi Lian winned, "The heat is getting hotter… I thought it was okay but it's getting worse…"

Nie Asreal thought for a moment before closing his eyes. He focused on Yi Lian's spiritual energy coursing through him. It was bazaar in nature. It jutted around his meridians at full speed if not faster. As if it were being attacked by demonic energy but it was simply just spiritual energy from The Deserted Capital being attracted to his immortal body. He formed a plan and opened his eyes. They were engulfed by red, demonic energy and Yi Lian was honestly shaken by it until Nie Asral placed a gentle hand to his chest and Yi Lian felt immediately better.

It was as if he had jumped in the cold ocean on a hot day. A hard feeling of refreshment washing through him. His breathing evened out and he felt his eyelids grow heavy.

Nie Asreal moved the hand transmitting the cure to the side of Yi Lian's head and whispered, "Is that better?"

Yi Lian hummed but then corrected himself. "Yes. It feels so nice." He said in a sleepy tone.

Nie Asreal rolled to the side and pulled him closer into his arms. Eventually Yi Lian fell asleep on his chest in his dazed state whilst Nie Asreal continued to exchange energies all night.
