Chapter 3

NIGHT'S POV:

I was panicking while putting all my stuff in my back pack. I woke up late earlier because I studied my notes last night after I got home from work. We have a fucking exam later and I might be late!

I immediately rode on a cab.  "Demorris University, P'!"  I told the driver.

When I arrived. I immediately payed the cab and got out. I run as fast as I can until I bump onto someone and close my eyes while waiting for my butt to hit the cold floor but seconds pass, it didn't happen.

I slowly open my eyes only for it to be widened when a pair of cold brown orbs meet mine.  That's when I realized that his hands were holding my waist and our faces were inches apart. I felt my cheeks heat up and I slowly released myself from him.

I looked down at my feet because of embrassment. "I-im s-sorry." I stuttered while apologizing to him.

"Just be careful next time." He respond coldly. I gasped a little because of how beautiful his voice is. No wonder, this man is so popular and many were ogling around him. The charm of Ethereal Equinox Zander was really something.

I nodded and hurried off.  Although the two of us became classmates sometimes, this was the first time he spoke to me. He wasn't a talker nor like someone who would show a good side. He was a snob after all but maybe, he wasn't that bad because he even saved my ass earlier. I could still feel the intensity of his gaze as I moved away. Geez, that guy was really intimidating.

Upon arriving in the classroom, I was immediately relieved that I still didn't saw our teacher. Is he not here yet or I am just really late? Everyone was looking weirdly again towards me. Damn, can they just keep their stares of judgment onto themselves? 

I glance at my watch and I found out that I was five minutes late only. To answer my question, our teacher immediately entered while smiling towards us.

"Good morning class!"  He greeted us. My classmates greeted back except for me, I'm too lazy to speak today. "Today is your second grading. So, you must excel on this in order for you to pass and proceed to the Special Intellect Class. This is your chance everyone, good luck!" He smiled at us and disseminated the test papers.

When I got a test paper, I immediately read the instructions. Remember, instructions are part of the test and not all teachers are considerate enough to let you pass even if you disobey the direction.

I answered everything I know since all I have read and studied last night were all here. When I was already finished at the second part, I was confused when I flip the page and saw a blank paper behind it. The test papers were consists of 3 pages and the last one was empty.

I studied the third one and something caught my attention. I fixed my glasses to see it clearly and I was right. Something was on the page but if you weren't clever enough, you would never notice it. My eyes narrowed as I stared at it.

I put my elbow above my desk and rest my cheeks on my palm.  I frown while looking at the numbers. This is a fucking code and it was just too easy. The thing is, you won't be going to realize it if you are not an observant enough. Are these codes still part of the test? Oh well, I will just do it for my grades anyway.

I wrote my full name on the third page just like what the code says and I am done.

I stood up from my seat and walked towards the professor.  He smiled at me.

"Did you check your paper before passing it to me?" He asked gently.

"Positive." I replied softly enough and he nodded. I immediately smiled back at him and grab my bag. I wasn't that hungry, so I just decided to go to the library since it was the most peaceful place I have ever known.

When I arrived, I immediately open the door and I roam my eyes around. The students weren't that plenty so I knew that I could sleep here.

I went to the far end of the library where no one can notice me easily. I put my bag on the top of the table. I immediately sat down and laid my head on the table also. I used my arms as a pillow and immediately went to sleep.

In just a moment, I was suddenly jolted from my sleep and I slowly woke up. I was adjusting to the light so that my eyes won't hurt a bit. When my attention fell down to my desk, my eyes widened to see a cup of coffee and a sandwich. I immediately looked around but there's no one there.

I was confused. I turned my attention back to the coffee and a sandwich and found a note attached to it. I took and read it but my eyes grew larger because of what's written on the note.

I saw that you are tired and I think you need this foods more than I do. Eat this up and rest for a bit.

Ps. As much as I don't want to tell you this but, you are really cute when you sleep.

Pps. I am not a stalker, I just accidentally saw you sleeping and I was curious since you are a nerd but you sleep instead of studying.

I felt my heart beats faster than usual and instead of feeling uncomfortable, I felt happy. Am I weird? Maybe. Who could have given this to me? Don't get me wrong, I was just curious.

This foods doesn't have poison, right? After all, I'm too lazy to go to the canteen even though I am hungry. So, I ended up eating the food from a stranger. I don't know but I didn't feel awful about that person.

After eating the food, I immediately stood up and put my bag on my left shoulder. I fix my clothes since it became untidy and then I left.

While walking through the field I immediately saw the members of the football team.

I stopped on my track when someone caught my attention.  He was still on his usual expression, an emotionless face and cold eyes.

I remember just now that he is a football player, a team captain to be exact. He was playing with his members while I was just here, watching them. All of a sudden, his eyes fix onto mine as my eyes widened in shock. I immediately diverted my gaze and leave the place.

I felt my phone vibrated so I took it out of my pocket and read the message.

From: Light

Where are you? We were all in the lobby.

I shake my head and type my reply to him.

To: Light

I'm going there.

I quickly used my feet and went to them. I saw them in the lobby and I immediately walked towards them.

"Thank God, you're here already!" Light exclaimed dramatically.

P'Sun chuckled. "Where did you even go?" He asked while smiling.

I scratched the back of my neck and smile slyly. "I slept in the library, P'Sun." I replied.  They immediately shake their heads while grinning at me. I pouted because of it.

"That's okay, but Light shouldn't forget the bet we all agreed." P'Air said while smirking.

Fighter nodded. "I'm excited about this." He mumbled.

Light frown a little. "You are all mean." He grumbled while looking like a puppy.

"It's because you are lazy." P'Ocean mumbled also in a sarcastic tone.

"That's all right. Let's go, I'm already hungry." P'Arrow told us boredly.

"Is this free?" I asked them which became the reason why they all shake their heads as if I just asked a ridiculous question.

"I'll take care of our baby." P'Air answered while laughing then put his arms around my shoulder and left at once with them all.
