Chapter 5

NIGHT'S POV:

"We're here, baby." P'Ocean said as I looked at him and smiled. We already got here at my work place and I didn't even realize it. I was in deep thoughts, that's why.

"Thank you, P'Ocean." I respond to him as he nodded his head.

"Be careful, baby. Call us if you need help." He reminds me. I just shook my head and smiled at him again as I nodded my head in agreement.

I opened the car door and stepped out. I just wave my hands at him as he droves away.

I just sighed and entered the restaurant I am working at. When I was already inside, I saw that the people here weren't that plenty so I was free to enter the locker room.

"Oh, you're here, Night." Joel said while smiling at me. He was the manager of this Restaurant. He was kind and friendly to the people he met, he was a bit friendly and a big flirt too.

I smiled at him. "Yeah, one of my Phi's dropped me here, that's why." I responded to him which made him smile and giggle while looking at nowhere dreamily. Here he goes again.

"I told you, you should give one of your Phi to me even just one. They are all handsome after all!" He exclaimed happily. Damn, I just shook my head.

Joel was gay. Wait, closeted gay to be exact since aside from me, no one else knew he was gay. You can't really say that this guy is gay because he was still manly outside and has a perfect body built and face but of course, it's not in the physical form either. If you're gay and even if you're a cross dresser or not, there's no problem on that.

The only problem is the other people's twisted beliefs because for me, if they don't accept it, it's better if they will just keep quiet instead of saying something bad which in a matter of fact, their opinions are not even needed.

"Even if I want to do that, I'm sure that they will be the one who will going to say 'no' because they already knew that when it comes to handsome men, you're going to flirt instantly with whoever it is." I teased him. Well, that is true. Whenever this gay guy saw a handsome man, he will immediately become a restless worm and he will going to hit whoever near him. I am always the pitiful victim since I am the only one he was telling about the men he wanted.

He frowned. "No, I'm either loyal to your P'Arrow or maybe your P'Ocean or your P'Air. Ah, It was really hard to choose between them." He told me while smiling again as he looked at nowhere with a dreamy eyes that was close to becoming a heart shape.

I just rolled my eyes and left him there to get my clothes for tonight. Then, I went to the bathroom to put on my uniform as a waiter. I fixed my eyeglasses and my face to look presentable in front of the customers. Then, I got out of the comfort room.  When I was already outside, Joel was gone and I don't even have any single idea where he went.

As soon as I got out of the locker room, I immediately saw the cashier named Ayla and she suddenly smiled when she saw me. Ayla is a nice girl but what annoys me is that, she is a BL fan and because of that, she always ship me to other men because of my features.

I was a little bit small and cute, so they told me that I was fit to become a uke or bottom when it comes to a relationship. I am just shaking my head sometimes on the things she says. I already accept the fact that my body and my face are not very manly. I have a pointy nose, pouty cute lips, chinky or slanted eyes, thick eyebrows and white pale skin. My height is also small and even my body built which just added to her fantasies.

It's okay if he is just a BL fan, but making me her victim? That's when I became annoyed. Honestly, I don't really know what my preferences are when it comes to relationships. As long as, I love that person and that person loves me back, it is okay with me no matter what his or her gender.

"Night, you are the one who will serve the handsome guy right there at the end of the restaurant. He just arrived and many noticed him immediately." She said with a mischievous tone. I gulped, as if I knew where it was heading but I still obeyed her.

I could hardly see the man's face as his back is facing where I was and he is stooping down.

"Good evening, sir. What's your order?" I asked softly towards the man.

When he lifted his face, my jaw drop and my chinky eyes widened. His eyes were still cold and his face was still expressionless while looking at me.

"I'd like to eat Pad Krapow Moo Saap (Fried Basil and Pork), Pad Thai (Thai style Fried Noodles), Pad pak kana moo krob (Fried Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli) and lemonade, please."  He answered in a serious tone.

I immediately composed myself and gulped. Fortunately, he just ignored my reaction, geez.  "Noted, sir." I replied and went away to get his orders. My heart was beating so fast when I saw him. Damn, is this normal? Am I still normal?

I approached Ayla immediately and she was wearing her teasing smile of her again.

I rolled my eyes. "What does that look mean?" I asked her.

"I saw that, dear. What is your relationship towards that man? Are you boyfriends?" He asked in an excited tone. I shook my head and sighed.

"I'm not his boyfriend, we're just schoolmates. I'm just shocked to see him." I replied to her and gave the order.

"Are you sure?" She ensures with a mischievous smile on her lips.  I just shook my head and after receiving the food he had bought, I immediately returned to the table where he sat and carefully placed the food above as I could feel his intense gaze.

"Enjoy your food, sir." I smiled at him and leave since I am not comfortable with his stares.

I had serve a few more tables before my shift ended tonight. I immediately put on my clothes and came out of the locker room, carrying my bag.

"Oh, you're leaving, Night?" Andree asked, he was one of my colleague and a waiter too.

I looked at him and smiled warmly. "Yes, Andree." I answered him softly. "I'm leaving first." I bid my good bye to him.

"Okay, take care!" He responded and waved to me. I just smiled and proceeded to leave the restaurant.

It was late so I just walked since the condo I was staying in was just a short drive away and it was so late. That's why, there's no taxi passing by at this hour.  I couldn't call my Phi's because I knew I would disturb them.  Probably because they are already asleep for sure.

I sighed and looked at the dark surroundings but I was just thankful because the moon was bright today. The only light that the moon gives were my only means to see around.

I could hear nothing but the noise of the wind and the leaves on the branch blown by it. I shook my head when suddenly, someone grabbed my arm which made me flinch and froze on my spot. My eyes widened in shock.  Who the fuck is this? I didn't even feel it.

I slowly turned my head on that person and gulped when I saw his emotionless face. He is not yet home since he was at the restaurant? Why is that?

"W-what a-are y-you d-doing h-here?" I stuttered. His gripped wasn't that strong on my arms so I am fine, I know that I will be.

"I am sending you home." He coldly replied and without further notice, he gently pulled my arms again to walk with him.

I grinned wryly because of what he did. "Y-you d-don't h-have to d-do t-this, Equinox." I told him which made him stopped immediately after I said his name. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I was behind him and he was in front while holding my arm so I can't see his reaction. He just stopped there and his breath hitched a little. "I mean, sorry for calling you that. I'll call you Ethereal from now on if you want." I Immediately apologized when I realized what I had done.

He shook his head and continued walking like nothing happened like that.

"It was fine, you can call me Equinox as long as you want."  He replied which made me smile. Is this guy really a snob?  Why it seems that they are wrong? "I will do this every night. Wait for me always before you get home from work." He stated which made me widened my eyes in surprise. Is he really serious?

I sigh. The thought of Fighter telling me that I should avoid this man came to my mind again. But how can I avoid him? Wherever I go, I always see him.

"Are you sure, Equinox?" I asked hesitantly. Again, he stopped and turned to look at me as I looked up to him. He was so tall, that's why.

"Do I look like I was joking around?"  He asked in a serious voice which made me gulped.  Here he goes again with his intense stare. I looked away and shook my head. "Then do as I say." He added. I gulped again and nodded. I didn't even promise Fighter, right? Maybe, this is okay. "I need a word, babe." He said again but I didn't hear much of the last one because it was faint.

"What did you say on the last part?" I asked him.

"Answer me first." He command with a serious tone.  I sighed and looked straight into his lifeless eyes.

"Okay, Equinox." I respond to the things he wants to happen. "But I want to stay this to both of us. I don't want my friends to know this thing." I said while my voice has a hint of pleading. He nodded his head which made me smiled.  "So, can you answer me now?" I asked again.

"Don't mind it. It doesn't matter."  He replied in a boring tone.

"Are you sure?" I asked unsure about his reason. He just nodded so I just shrugged and started walking again while he was still holding my arms. I just didn't really pay attention to it until we reach my condo.

Upon arriving, I immediately turn to him and smiled even though he was quiet and he still had no emotions.

"Thanks, Equinox." I told him and look up to the sky. "It's already late, how can you go home?" I asked him.

"I can manage. I will just going to call my driver." He coldly replied and he was about to picked his phone when I immediately shook my head.

I looked at him shyly and a little bit hesitant. "No, you are going to sleep here. You will just going to bother him." I stopped him. He looked surprised but then it didn't last long since he immediately blink and go back to being emotionless.

"Are you sure?" He asked in a cold voice. I nodded and smiled as I invited him in. I hope his okay with my condo even though it's not really luxury.

ETHEREAL'S POV:

When I got into his condo, I was immediately amazed on how clean and well organized it was but I don't want to tell him that. I was maintaining my emotionless expression while looking around until we entered his room.

"I only have one bed, so you can sleep on the bed and I will sleep on the sofa since I know that you won't fit on that." He said which became the reason for me to looked at him. He has this innocent look on his face which made my heart beat rummage in an abnormal way. Damn, I've always felt this way whenever he is near.

"No, I will take the sofa. You take the bed." I respond to him. He was about to speak when I suddenly stopped him. "Don't argue anymore." I stated which made him shut his kissable lips.

"Okay, I will find something you can wear so that you can take a shower already." He said and turned away and went near his closet.

When he had finished finding some, he returned immediately. He handed me the clothes and I immediately looked at it.

"Don't worry, the t-shirt was big enough to fit you since I got that from P'Ocean." He said. When I looked at him, he was smiling at me. How can a person become this cute?

"P'Ocean? The one who held your hand in the canteen?" I asked.  He immediately widened his eyes in shock. It was the time I knew that I fucked up. I shouldn't have asked that. "I mean, I'm going to the bathroom now." I immediately told him and entered his comfort room without waiting for his respond.

When I was inside the bathroom, I immediately face palm because of what I did back there. I don't want to scare him that much. Now was the only time that I have the courage to face him. That's why, I don't wanna messed this up. I waited this long and I want to succeed on this.

Maybe he doesn't remember me but I remember him clearly.  From the day I saw him on that school, I thought we'd never see each other again.

We were just highschool that time when I saw him sleeping under the tree. He was already a nerd that time and even now he is the same but he was still the most attractive person for me.

All my life I had no interest on other people except the time when I saw him there under the tree. I didn't know what happened to me that time but I suddenly walked towards him and stared at him.

I realized that time, that he was so beautiful and from that moment, I could not help but look at him from a far. My name maybe Ethereal but I want to describe that word to him. He was the most beautiful man I ever encountered.

When I finished bathing, I immediately dressed and the clothes he gave was just right.

I just shook my head and got out from the bathroom after drying my hair with a hair dryer I found in his bathroom. There I saw him lying on the sofa and he was now dressed-up. He was already sleeping as I looked at his peaceful face. He was really beautiful all the time.

"You are really stubborn, babe." I whispered. He didn't even listen to me when I told him that he should take the bed. What a stubborn cutie.

I walked near him and bend my knees to the floor as I caressed his cheeks. It was so soft and I admire him for that. In fact, I actually went to him earlier at his work place. I investigate him but all I know is that he is now alone and working in a restaurant as a part time job and he lives in this condo. On weekends, he is working in the convenient store and cafe as a cashier.

I stayed there for how many minutes while still kneeling down next to him and I kissed him on the forehead before going on the bed to sleep. Fortunately, he did not wake up. I looked at him for the last time before I lay down on his bed. As much as I want to sleep with him, I can't. I don't want to scare him away. I can't even carry him from the sofa to this bed because what if, he will suddenly woke up and accused me as a creep? I don't want that to happen.

I sighed. This is enough for now, being with him in one room while breathing the same air. Next time, I will make sure that he will going to be mine.

Mine alone and no one can take him away from me.
