Force 1

I was waking in a room. It felt strangely familiar but also strange like a distant memory. I kept walking when I heard someone running. I turned to see a man. He was shutting doors behind himself and stacking things as if he were trying to keep himself in. Or something out.

He stood watching the door for a second and then put his hands on his head. Gasping for air started to cry.

"What am I going to? What am I going to do?" He muttered to himself. A loud bang startled him as he jumped away from the door.

"No. No. Nonono." He started to freak out. I tried to touch him but my hand went straight through his body. My eyes widened in shock.

The door banged once again. Shaking the entire room and making the items in front of the door fall. The man began to run again. He made way into the bathroom where he did the same thing. Blocked the doors but this tile he hid.

"Someone help me," he muttered as he rocked back in forth in a ball on the ground.

I shot up in bed again. Drenched in sweat.

"Another bad dream?" Xonnie was beside me, holding my hand.

"How did I get here," I asked in a panic.

"After you left to go scout, my necklace started to glow and it felt like it was pulling me towards you. It sensed you were in danger. I got there right before you were torn into pieces.." her voice started to fade out. She was frightened. I could sense it. I put my hand on hers.

"Thank you once again." I winked. She smiled at me.

"Anytime Puppy," her face twisted as if she'd just remembered something important, "Your dream. What was it?"

I looked down at the blanket.

"A man. Running for his life. The beasts was basically knocking at his door." I explained.

"What did he look like?" She urged. I looked at her and her eyes were wide with hope.

"He had light brown hair, brown eyes, looked to be in his thirties. He had some black reading glasses and a plaid, green button up shirt on and some khakis."

Her grip on my hand tightened.

"Is he dead?" Her voice breaking.

"N-no, I don't think so." I looked at her. Her eyes were wide and tears threaded the brims.

"Hey what's wrong," I touched her cheek. She smiled and nuzzled my palm.

"That's my father.." her voice broke and she started to cry, "running for his life.."

I pulled her in and hugged her. Caressing her hair, trying to calm her down. Once I felt the tears stop I pulled her up and looked her in the eyes.

"Let's go find him." I patted her head.

"Are you sure.." she whimpered. I nodded and she jumped up.

"I'll get Vix." She started to leave the room.

"Wait, Xonnie." I got out of bed slowly, "you should pick one of your most trusted friends to give power to." I walked over to my dresser. Xonnie grabbed her necklace.

"He's my father! I have to go! You won't take it!"

"No no, I don't want yours. I have more.." I pulled out the box, "pick one."

Xonnie peeked inside the box and slid her hand in.

"Thank you, Tobin." She smiled. My heart thumped in my chest.

"No problem," I turned away.

"Meet me at the exit in 10 minutes," she said gleefully. I nodded.

10 minutes later I was waiting on the ledge with Vix.

"Girls, am I right?" He joked, "always taking so long to get ready."

I laughed, "You couldn't be more right." Just then Dalian jumped up with us.

"Sorry we had a difficulty," she smiled sheepishly.

"It's fine, where's your help," I asked, looking around.

"Right here," I turned around behind me and saw a girl squared next to me.

"You're a.." Vix pointed at her.

"A leopard." She winked. We all turned and looked out the window.

"We are Force 1." They all turned towards me, "It's our duty to save everyone. But you must listen to me, if we are going to make this work."

They all nodded and leaped out the window, landing silently.

"My names Cloak by the way," leopard said as we maneuvered around a gap in the bridge.

"I'm Vix." Axel waved. Cloak smiled. I rolled my eyes and Dalian nudged me.

"What? That's gross." I whispered.

"It's cute!" She blushed. I lifted my lip up in disgust.

"That's what you call cute?!" I pointed at Vix and Cloak. Dalian giggled and looked ahead.

"We are almost there," Dalian told the others.

"I think we should enter from the balcony on the third floor," I suggested. Dalian agreed.

"You two, take floors one and two. Me and Ryder will check 3 and 4."

We approached the house near the balcony. Vix Cloak went up first then gave us a wave of safety. Dalian leap into the air. I followed.

"Graceful landing, Princess," I smirked. She rolled her eyes and smiled, "Not bad yourself, Puppy."

"This is where things usually go wrong, you three. So stick with me unless I say other wise."

We entered house quietly and searched. Vix and Cloak where looking at levels 1 and 2 while me and Dalian were searching 3 and 4. She frantically was running around.

"Dalian," I grabbed her wrist when she ran past me, her face was sad, "Xonnie. You need to calm down. We will find him." I pulled her into a hug and she relaxed. I felt her muscles untense and her arms going around me.

"You're right," she said, sounding hopeless and defeated.

"Don't give up." I held her face in my hands and she gave a soft nod. After that we checked every room carefully.

"Do you see any clues?" She asked.

"No, not really." I sighed.

Suddenly my bracelet and her necklace started flashing. Our eyes widened. Someone was calling for our help. We bolted down the stairs and slid into the garage. Nothing was there.

"We found him." Cloak came out from behind a car. I could feel Dalians body clench up.

"He's barely breathing but he's okay."

Dalian pushes past me and ran behind the vehicle.

I joined Vix, Cloak and Dalian to see the damage done. Dalian's father was missing a leg and was laying in a pool of blood. I took in a startled breath. Glancing down at Dalian she was smiling and holding his hand.

"We should get him home." I looked outside the garage windows, "Dalian get the left side of him, Vix take the right, Cloak I want you to use your power to make sure they get back okay." They all nodded and once in position, I opened the garage door.

"What about you," I heard Dalian ask.

"I will make sure nothing stands in your way," I put a thumbs up in the air.

"Just be careful..please." A plead whispered in my ear from her. I nodded my head.

I took them straight through parking lots and roads, no need to hide when their already hidden. I couldn't see them but I could head their feet pressing softly on the fallen leaves and the debris on the ground.

"Ryder, three on your left, 100 kilometers away." I nodded and slowed my pace. We made it to a heavily covered area.

"These trees make a nice pathway to the school court yard. Go straight and take a right in 200 yards." Vix graphed. I followed where he said to go and surely enough we were at the court yards.

"Wait," Vix stopped me before I ran to the ledge, "One on your left."

I looked over and it was there. Circling around a bus. Someone's in there.

"Get inside, I'll handle this." Before they could reject I had already left.
