Jason's POV
Jason's house
______________________________________________________________________________________________
I drove as quickly as possible to get to my house and when I finally arrived the men in black suits were already waiting at my front door.
"Let me through!" I yelled at them, but they wouldn't even budge. "Please?" I said this time in a calmer tone. They just moved aside and I ran into the house looking for her.
I ran to the living room where they sat.
"Jayla." I said and let out a shaky breathe. She turned around and smiled at me. Her hair was nearly tied back and curled. Her gown was a vanilla color and showed her shoulders. Her earrings and necklace was a great diamonds. She wore her diamond and gold crown.
Both Jacob and Jayla sat across from each other in our small living room.
Jacob held a worried face and I knew whatever the reason Jayla came to see us, was not for a good sibling to sibling talk. She obviously had some bad news.
"Jason!" She said and instantly got up to hug me. I hugged her back and glanced at my older brother he kept his eyes on the floor almost like he was ashamed of me. "Jayla what are you doing here?" I said as she lead me to couch.
"I've come to warn you and I don't have much time. Mother doesn't know I'm here." She made eye contact with Jacob who finally looked up at the mention of our Mother.
"What has she done to you? Are you hurt?" I said as I tried to search her arms for small scratches or even bruises.
"I'm fine it's just, Mother won't give up until your coming home. The press is going crazy." She says and gently rests her hands on her lap.
Of course they are, they always make up stories of their own, Mother isn't making things any better by threatening Kani.
"Mother couldn't keep the press in control because they found out about the double ganger." She says as her face grows worried.
"I don't want her to hurt you or your lover, because she plans to attack again." Jayla says as she looks up at me.
You mean threaten Kani and her family?
"She already took her mom's job. What else does she want?" I said angrily and Jayla gently grabbed my hands that I didn't notice were shaking.
"Jason you need to protect her at all costs. Mother probably knows everything. The press knows your here it's only a matter of time before you get taken away." Jayla and I nodded.
"Sooner or later the whole world will find out about you and Kani. I'll do whatever I cam to help you." Jacob finally spoke after his long silence.
"I'll be leaving with Jayla. I'll leave money for you every month I know it's not safe to leave you alone so I'll send Margaret to look after you while I get Mother under control." Jacob says as he looks between me and Jayla.
So he'll leave me here with the risk of the press coming and finding me? They would probably expose my whereabouts. Who knows what side their on.
"Your only 16 years old how can she do this to you." Jacob said angrily." She'll never understand what its like being s kid these days."
"Your not a kid either your 28 years old grow up Jacob." I said and he rolled his eyes at me.
"Well I'm 14 and look where I am. I can't run a country. I might as well become a servant." Jayla said and let go of my hands to put her hands on her lap.
"Men start the car and grab Jacobs things." Jayla says to the men in suits.
"If mother finds out about my visit I won't hesitate to end you myself." Jayla threatens to the men who already look terrified.
"Yes your highness." They all say and leave the room.
"Be safe and don't let her get to you." Jacob said and sighed.
"Don't let her get to you either." I said back to him. Jayla and Jacob both stood up and waved goodbye before leaving the room.
Leaving me here alone officially. Alone to
Moments later I text.
It was mom.
Mom: Strike two done :-)
I stared at the text. What did she do? I went to the window in the living room and watched as Jayla and Jacob got into the back seat of the black limo.
I looked back at my phone when it got another notification.
Kani_the_Cookie: you better come back in one piece idiot🐸
My cookie...
Kani I know you know that this whole thing is risky.
