Kani's POV
Thursday
Christmas eve

"What are you trying to say?" I said to Jason on the phone.
The Queen's already done her strike two which was separating Jason and I. I knew for sure I wasn't going to give in to any of her tricks, but Jason was down to do anything she says if it means that she'll leave me alone.
The Queen threatened to ruin my family which is already ruined enough. She wanted to get my older sister, Safari, kicked out of college.
I didn't want that to happen.
Neither of us did.
"Kani I know this is basically giving in to her, but think about it if I go now I can calm her down and convince her to let me stay and I've been rebelling her long enough." Jason said worriedly into the phone.
"But no matter what you can't give in, you can't give up. What if you don't come back?" I asked him and he sighed sadly in response.
"I'm doing this for our future together. I want to make sure that when I come back, which I am, I want to be able to live my life with you peacefully and not have to worry about someone constantly trying to hurt you." He said. I can almost here the pain in his voice.
I sighed in defeat. Obviously he wasn't going to listen to me and in the end he was a prince. There's not much I could do anyway."How long will you be away a-and when will you come back?" I asked sounding extremely desperate.
"Can you wait for me Kani? I promise it won't take long." He said, his voice sounding sweet.
"I'll wait for you, but promise me you'll come back as soon as you can."
I said and I heard him laugh softly from behind the phone.
"I promise." I smiled at the words. It felt like he was leaving for good."And Kani?"
"Yes?"
"I love you, and don't ever forget it."
"I love you too."

The next day
Christmas
__________________________________________________________________________________
Christmas is about spending time with your family and friends, having fun, and enjoying yourself.
Not to me, not right now at least.
It's an uneasy feeling knowing that Jason might not come back, but he made a promise so there for he should keep it.
I watched as my family and Fryday's family watch Devanie rip open presents with the biggest toothy grin on her face.
Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see that Fryday was holding a small box in his hand. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that Samantha Collins, Fryday's girlfriend, was staring at me weirdly.
"Merry Christmas Kani." Fryday said handing me the small box. I looked at him suspiciously, but I opened the box anyway.
It was a silver necklace with a big red Ruby hanging from it. I stared at the necklace with my mouth open. I looked up at Fryday with my shocked look and he just grinned.
"I can't take this it's to expensive." I said quickly as I tried to hand him the box back.
"It's the least I could do. Besides someone should be here on a lovely Christmas day shouldn't they?" Fryday said and I looked up at him suspiciously.
"What are you trying to say?" I asked him as I turned to fully face him.
"Jason's the prince of England who ran away from home thinking he can find his own bride, but unfortunately life isn't fair." Fryday said as he sat in the chair across from me.
"I guessing the whole world knows he's a prince now." I said as I sighed in defeat.
"How long is he planning to stay in England?" Fryday asked, but I didn't look up to see his expression.
"He doesn't know and neither do I. He just wants to calm the press down and answer their boarding questions so the Queen doesn't come and attack our family again."I said sadly and I finally looked up at Fryday with a worried expression.
"What would happen if he doesn't come back?"
"I don't know."
