darkness domain. Shi Feng the controlled the 36 strands of darkness to perform sword orbit around the two NPCs while he dodged to the left avoiding the attacking fog.

"You gain a bit of power from the Soul Eater tribe and think you have transcended, what a joke." Shi Feng activated the magic arrays he set up everywhere. In his past life he managed to learn many powerful magic arrays but could never actually use them due to how complex they were and the high level mana control they required. Now that he's an advanced master magician he can take full advantage of arrays he learned, current players won't even see these types of arrays for a couple more months. Suddenly a cylindrical barrier trapped the foggy Stail and all the mana in the barrier started to disappear by being absorbed into the array. Shi Feng set this up to weaken Stail's spells originally but now that he became a soul eater its effect were amplified. Soul Eaters love mana more than any other creature, if in a manaless environment even though their attributes won't weaken they would become sluggish and won't display their peak power.

"Aaahh what have you done human! Let me go, let me go" Stail started to go crazy, his human form in the fog started to become faint.

"Looks like his transformation is not stable yet. Let's not waste this opportunity."

Not even soul eaters will react like this in a manaless environment. Before Shi Feng could could strike the fog started expanding and filling the barrier, then when a few cracks appeared on the barrier it shattered.

"I need more, give me mana" muttered a liquid form of Stail who was on his hands and knees. It looked like the man would turn into a puddle as the fog started to absorb the ambient mana. Suddenly spikes emerged from the fog assaulting everything indiscriminately. Shi Feng dodge left then right, jumping all over the place. He knew if the spike even grazed him all the mana in his body would be gone.

When he had enough space Shi Feng striked, swinging his sword an explosion shook the cave.

When the dust cleared the fog and spikes looked completely normal. Looks like I can't tackle this like normal Shi Feng thought. He started to use all his skills and techniques but they weren't working and the spikes were becoming more and more numerous. The only move that worked was holy devour but with the ambient mana being sucked up it wasn't strong enough to deal significant damage.

With that said Shi Feng activated blade domain and used the giant sword to perform sword transmigration, then he switched out howling thunder for the blazing meteor Seleria forged for him long ago. Shi Feng then started collecting as much mana as he can to do the strongest holy devour. Flames exploded and raged, pushing back the fog and spikes, but it didn't stop there. The usual wild flames started to calm and concentrate towards Shi Feng. The flames were then collected and condensed into the blazing meteor. Causing it to glow a blinding red. After a few more seconds Shi Feng created a gap in sword transmigration and threw the blazing meteor.

Mana Technique- Holy Devour

It was clear that Stail was studying soul eaters at the very least. With his research Zero Wing can prepare for the future. With that done Shi Feng opened a spatial gate so he and the two NPCs can leave and go to the adventure association. Shi Feng then got them tested and he was amazed.

Jeremy had a growth potential of 95 while Laura had one of 96 the same as Anna when she was tested. As the two went to do their training Shi Feng went and continued his quest. The other three Fallen weren't as difficult to kill but they didn't give as many rewards as Stail, only leaving a few rare gemstones and items. Shi Feng figured it was due to poor timing, after all if he came a little late Jeremy and Laura would probably be dead and Stail might have grown so powerful that their fight would have destroyed his liar and all his research along with it. Finally Shi Feng headed to a secret map in the kingdom where the tier 5 Fallen was hiding.
