2775 Setting Up a Trade Route

(So I forgot that killing Atlock's phantom was a legendary quest objective, my bad 🤗. So let's just pretend that Shi Feng didn't kill the phantom and he still has the curse. Just kidding I will explain what happened with Atlock's curse in a future chapter. Also my apologies on the last chapter as I know it confused many people. Fragmented legendary items and legendary items won't become common at all. When writing that line I was thinking from Shi Feng's perspective and he was speaking about the future and his new understanding of the higher powers in God's Domain. That's all.)

Ore Empire, Orc Capital City

Hundreds of evil beasts and evil demons roamed around the city. The presence of evil energy filled the city making a group of five who walked through the streets feel disgusted.

This group of five were Waking Light; the vice guild leader of Infinite Sky and his bodyguards. The five of them currently followed a cloaked man that radiated so much evil energy that will make even demons feel a shiver down their spines.

This man is Beast Emperor

As Beast Emperor was escorting Waking Light and the others through the city he turned around and asked, "Vice Guild Leader Light, has your guild leader come to a decision? I cant wait any longer."

Waking Light who was admiring the view as if he were taking a walk through the park quickened his pace to catch up to Beast Emperor. While still looking around he told him, "don't worry, we'll get you the resources you require. As long as you fulfil your promise all your little wishes will come true."

"What about Black Flame? With him around I will never be able to rest peacefully at night!," Beast Emperor said with gut wrenching hate.

"Don't you worry about Black Flame and Zero Wing, we will take care of them. That guild has stepped on the toes of too many people. Their demise is just a matter of time." +

Beast Emperor balled his hand to a fist, "when the time comes for their eradication let me deal the final blow. I want to see the look in Black Flames eye as he and everything he's obuilt perishes!"

Waking Light finally stopped admiring the evil beast and demon infested city. He glanced at the frustrated Beast Emperor saying, "tsk tsk tsk Beast Emperor, for a foe like Black Flame, we can't act like barbarians and brute force our way to his demise. It will only end in biting our butt."

Beast Emperor stopped for a second to think about the man's words. As he was about to say something Waking Light continued.

As if a passionate flame lit up the man's soul, Waking Light continued with his monologue, "brute forcing your way through situations like these is no fun. The real thrill comes from the delicate nature of your craft.

"For a guild like Zero Wing, for a man like Black Flame. You must slowly and steadily apply pressure, let them resist and let them adapt. The more they grow and the stronger they become, they will become complacent and think they have adjusted. They will feel as if the force pressing them down is nonexistent, without realizing that same force is gradually thinning them out, forcing them to leave openings. When they think that nothing can go wrong, that's when we strike at an angle they weren't expecting. In one fatal swoop. Pop! Like a pinata all their treasure will be yours, rewarding you for your patience and delicate work.

Beast Emperor got chills listening to Waking Light. He felt as if he were a puppeteer and everyone around him danced to the movement of his fingers. This frightened Beast Emperor.

Noticing the look of fear on Besat Emperor's face, Waking Light turned to him and with an innocent smile on his face he said, "my apologies. Sometimes I can't help but go into these rants, it's a bad habit of mine."

Beast Emperor immediately became upset and with his rage the evil beast started directing their killing intent at the group of Infinite Sky representatives. +

"Waking Light, if you dare to play me like you did Starlink, your guild will face my wrath regardless of Black Flames downfall or not!' Beast Emperor warned the man.

As if the killing intent didn't faze him, Waking Light laughed and put his arm around Beast Emperor. "Hahahaha, brother Beast Emperor, you worry too much. Starlink was an eyesore, they constantly took without giving anything substantial back. But not you. You can provide us with many more benefits so we wouldn't dare think of treating you like that."

Hearing this Beast Emperor calmed down and let down his guard, so did his evil beast.

With his arm still over his shoulder, Waking Light patted Beast Emperor on his chest and with a devilish grin said, "see nothing to worry about. Now show me this new project you've been working on, I wish to know how I can help."

Bermuda Islands, Rising Wing City

Inside the top office of the city lord's mansion sat the representatives of some of the strongest guilds in God's Domain.

Netherworld Empire, Violet Sword, Azure Chamber of Commerce, and Divine Tribe.

All of them looked on in shock at the man sitting at the head desk.

The vibrant Aqua Rose dressed in a luxurious blue and purple mage robes lit up the room with her angel-like features. And the alluring but cunning Phoenix Rain who was garbed in magnificent red and black robes that did nothing to hide her bombastic figure and beauty sat next to this man.

Still the two beauties couldn't even grasp the attention of these people as they focused in on Shi Feng.

Adolf, one of Divine Tribes Grand Elders broke the silence, "Guild Leader Black Flame, I might have heard wrong. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but you wish to set up an air route between Rising Wing City and our own CIties. Is that correct?"

Shi Feng with a smile on his face said, 'yes, that is exactly what i said before you repeated it."

The representatives looked at him in shock again.

"Guild Leader Black Flame, you might not be aware of this but in the western continent setting up trade routes isn't as simple as doing a quest to establish it," Wildfighter chimed in.

"I am aware of all of your concerns but be assured that zero wing has all this planned out."

Shi Feng knew how difficult it was to set up trade routes in the western continent, especially air trade routes. Because of the constant bombardment of demon creatures in the west, everything was managed by the players, NPCs offered little assistance.

Only powerful empires and kingdoms have the ability to establish safe trade routes and players getting access to those trade routes can be as difficult as a legendary quest.

Players can establish their own trade routes but the system will act like a vengeful Ex, constantly harassing players sending demon creatures to assault player shipments and hinder their progress. The invasion of monsters on the towns and cities that the trade route lands on will also increase in frequency and ferocity.

"The majority of items in the Bermuda Islands are non bag spaces items. Shipping these items by boat will take too long and land travel is even longer and more unreliable. But with airships many inconveniences can be solved. If you allow these airships to drop at your towns and cities it will allow for higher player traffic in these cities and towns, as well bring in wealth to your territories since they will be the first to get so many rare and valuable items from this map.

I understand the risk that you will all face so each guild to join will obtain 3% of the trade route shares."

After hearing Shi Feng's words, these representatives perked up their ears. They all understood the massive profits that this trade route can provide. Not only will their guilds be quickly able to use the Bermuda Islands resources, their towns and cities will be the first to acquire these resources, attracting much more business to them. Of course they could also charge a nice sum of coins to transport the items of other guilds and players increasing their income. +

A share of 3% might seem small but it could be enough to earn them more money then what second rate guilds make.

Long Xianlong from Azure quickly calmed down and said, "Guild Leader Black Flame, while I am indeed interested in your offer, this is a very risky investment. Trying to sustain such a trade route till it pays off can very well backfire on us."

Everyone understood what Long Xianlong meant. In this map tier 1 and 2 players were practically useless. Tier 3 players who haven't fully unlocked their mana bodies were not much better off. The profit these types of players can bring from this map is negligible.

So far tier 2 players far outnumbered tier 4 and tier 3 players and every power can't afford to send large numbers of experts who have fully unlocked their mana bodies or reached tier 4 to come grind in this map yet. Mainly seinding in small elite teams for it.

In short there won't be enough players to efficiently grind in the map and while the potential profits of the trade route are extremely high, the real statistics aren't too favorable.

This didn't deter Shi Feng as he continued, "well I have a very simple solution to that problem. We just increase the number of players grinding on the map."

The others looked at Shi Feng as if he were playing some kind of joke. If that were so easy to fix, then they wouldn't even have this problem.

Shi Feng ignored the looks he got and signaled Phoenix Rain to bring out an item.

The item was an engineering device that looked like a mechanical strap. This strap radiated a very intense energy but was calming to the body.

The others immediately used their identification skills on the strap.

[Collider Belt] (Advanced master Engineering device)

When worn in specific environments, this belt will empower the wearer, offsetting the environment's harmful effects. Players attributes and physique can increase by 30% in certain environments.

Duration 10 hours.

Looking at the item, everyone sucked in some air. Adolf looked towards Shi Feng and asked, "Guild Leader Black Flame, are you implying that this item works in the Bermuda Islands.

Shi Feng shook his head confirmation. "They even provide the attributes and physique boost in this map." 2

The collider stones he got a while back were the main material for the belt. He wanted to use it to help the guilds tier 2 experts grind in this map but the trade route was more important.

The candlelight chamber of commerce has no foundation in the west. Joining Azure Chamber of Commerce isn't likely. While the two guilds are allies business comes first and Candlelight doesn't meet the criteria to join them yet.

By establishing this trading route Candlelight can steadily grow in the west.

"Guild Leader Black Flame, consider Azure in."

"You can also consider Violet Sword in as well."

"Netherworld Empire is in."

"Divine Tribe will gladly join."

With that the various guilds signed contracts regarding the trade route. These guilds will be setting up the trade route and providing majority of the security and maintenance while Zero Wing provides the airships and handles the business side of things.

Shi Feng used almost all of the guilds coins to purchase materials to build nearly 20 Shooting Light Airships, for this trade route.The Crimson Dragon Airships just weren't powerful enough to reliably handle the potential dangers.

The construction of all these airships among other things has really strained the guild's finances.

Shi Feng left Ling Yin in charge of Candlelight matters in the west. The young girl was scouted by Phoenix Rain and was even personally trained by Liang Jing. She could handle anything that comes up. +

Shi Feng left Aqua, Blackie, Shadow Sword and the rest in the west while he made his way back to the east. The western base didn't have as many peak and apex experts as they did in the east so their help will ease a lot of Phoenix Rain's burdens.

Shi Feng activated Space Point and teleported to Silver Wing City.
