Out of Giza

In a dark room on the basement level of the Dark Cathedral located at the center of Giza Town…

Shapes in monochrome congregated. If the torches hung on the walls had been ablaze, their garb would have been revealed as dazzling fuchsia or the deepest scarlet. But in the dim light of the basement, the shapes could only be visualized as characters in a scene from a black and white movie.

A dozen or so mystics, including Hugo, were present at this small congregation. They each waited their turn to use the teleportation portal out of Giza.

Hugo stood in one corner, next to Constantine, trying to gauge the identities of some of the people who were gathered from their unclear silhouettes.

But alas, his efforts were futile.
