An Alias

Hugo left the caverns after finishing his breakthrough.

He immediately noted that the sun had begun to sink below the horizon. Mystics returning from hunting trips were all over the Dark Forest.

With his second-level Cloak of Thanatos activated, he managed to travel undetected back to Giza.

He deactivated the invisibility spell inside the town walls and headed back to the Matriarch's residence. After greeting Tracy and having an early dinner, he washed up and went up to his room to sleep. He was exhausted after having a long day.

Hugo jumped into the covers and quickly fell asleep.

The entire night, he did not wake. He slept as soundly as a baby until the following morning when his mind caught traces of a looming figure in his room.

Within a split second of realizing there was a stranger in his room, Hugo awoke and stood on his feet, his eyes wide and dreams forgotten. He started taking in feedback from all his senses.
