Part 12

I opened my eyes and found myself back in my cell. I was lying on Sebastian's part of the bed. I tried to sit up but I felt this shooting pain all over my body which had me falling back in bed in pain.

" Hey, come on, please lie down. You are still weak", Andre said and rushed to my side

" How did I get here?" I asked, my voice a bit hoarse, from all the screaming

" I saw two of General's men bringing you in here so I decided to come and check on you. That is how I found you unconscious and wounded", Andre explained.

My head was spinning and I felt sick. General had tortured me the night before and this was something I was not going to forget in a long time. I had never gone through anything like that before. I never ever thought this would happen to me, yet it did.

"How long have I been out?" I finally asked.

" Almost the whole day. It's almost evening so let me say, about 12 hours", he replied.

I gave a deep sigh and closed my eyes. I could still hear him, the general, laughing, telling me how weak I was. I can't help but agree with him. I am weak, I could not even stop him from killing Sebastian.

" How do you feel?" Andre asked, feeling my forehead.

" I feel terrible. And I am very thirsty. Can you please get me a glass of water, and maybe a painkiller? I need this pain to go away", I responded, with a frown on my face.

" Okay, I will go get you a glass of water. But please, don't get up. You will only cause more pain to yourself if you do", he said and walked out.

I laid there still thinking of what had transpired between I and the general the night before. The general always hurt me so much that I had gotten used to it. But last night, was totally different. I never expected him to behave the way he did. I thought he would believe me, he didn't. He did not even allow me to speak. He is a monster, and I will forever hate him.

I was lost in thoughts so I did not hear Andre come back inside.

" I brought you back your water. What's on your mind? I have been standing here for a while now and you did not even know I was here. Is something wrong?" He asked worriedly and helped me up.

With the little strength I have, I sat up and leaned against the wall. Andre handed the glass to me, which I gratefully took. I drank the water quickly almost choking on it, which had Andre laughing a bit.

" Hey not so fast, you will end up choking on it. Come on breath", he said and took the glass away.

" Where did you really get the glass from?" I suddenly asked

" It's mine, actually. Don't worry, you won't get into trouble for it", he said and smiled

" Thank you", I said.

He nodded then placed the glass of water beside the bed. He suddenly looked serious, then turned to look at me.

" David, I need you to tell me what happened to you. What really happened? Did General do this to you?", he asked softly.

I nodded slowly. I then proceeded to explain everything that happened to him, leaving no details out. He listened very carefully and never interrupted me for a second.

After I was done, he got up and started pacing up and down, like he was thinking of something.

He stopped, then looked at me suddenly.

" I think it's time we told your family what's happening. They need to know", he said

I shook my head. "My brother hates me and my parents don't want anything to do with me. They can't help me".

" Okay, maybe they won't,but I am sure your lawyer will do something", he suggested again

"No, I can't. I can't put him in that kind of danger. I can't get him killed like Seb, I can't do that to him", I kept shaking my head, with fear in my eyes.

" He is the only one who can help us, think about it for a second. We need to tell someone, or this will never stop. And, believe me, it will get worse than this", he said.

He sounded very determined to do this but I was in fear. Uncle Sam isn't just my lawyer, he is also my God father. I can't let anything happen to him. If anything were to happen to him, I would die. But, Andre was right. I needed to tell someone about this and who better than my God father.

I looked at Andre, with a bit of determined look on my face. " Okay, let's tell my lawyer about this. But I am still worried about how we will do this, you know general has his men everywhere",  I said, with worry.

" Leave that to me. I am sure the right time will come, and everything will be over soon", he said, smiling.
