Cicilia's POV:
I was in the kitchen making breakfast for myself and I boiled the milk to feed Angela.
She is six months old and she is really a very quiet child.
About my job, when I was eight-month pregnant, I got maternity leave and my HOD is really kind, so, when I told her that I was a single parent she allowed me to work from home.
So, now I work from home while I take care of Angela also.
And today, I received a call from the office for some really important meeting and they requested my presence there, so I thought of leaving Angela with my neighbour, she is in her mid 40 and she really loves kids, she also has a fifteen-year-old daughter who likes Angela too.
After quickly having my breakfast and feeding Angela I got dressed. And carrying her in my arms I walked up to the door of my neighbour and knocked.
When she opened the door, she had a smile on her face.
"Good morning, Mrs.William", I greeted her.
"Good morning Cicilia, what brings you here?"
"I was wondering that if you could just take care of her for a few hours, I have some really important meeting to attend at my office, please", I requested.
"Of course dear, I would be glad to look after her", she said before turning around a bit," Sabrina! Look, Angela is here."
Her daughter appeared from behind with joyful look on her face and after greeting me, she took away Angela gently from my hands.
Thanking her I got down and took a cab to reach my office, it had been a long time when I last came here.
Entering into the office I greeted everyone I met on my way and as I was fifteen minutes earlier, I decided to spend my time in the cafeteria.
I was sitting there quietly sipping on my coffee and scrolling through my Instagram when I noticed a boy around my age, with chocolate brown eyes and the same hair with a cup of coffee approaching me.
And with a friendly smile, he said, "Can I join you?"
"Of course", I said with a smile and he sat down in front of me.
"James Wilson", he extended his hand for a shake and after shaking his hands I said, "Cicilia."
He looked at me in confusion and asked immediately, "Cicilia Holland?"
I looked at him baffled at how he guessed it but I nervously chuckled and said, "No, I don't have a surname. But how did you guess it?"
"Oh, it just popped up in my mind, nevermind."
"I have been working here for a month but I never saw you", he added.
"Actually I am on my maternity leave, came here for some important meeting."
"Ok...", He said, "Daughter or son?"
"Daughter", I replied.
"How old is she?"
"Six months."
"So Cicilia, which department are you in?"
"I am in the reviewing department and you?"
"I am in the marketing department."
I checked my watch to see that it was already time for the meeting, so, I got up immediately and said to him before going, "It was nice to meet you, James, bye."
"Goodbye Cicilia", as I started moving I could still feel his gaze on me but I refused to ponder upon it.
Sebastian's POV:
I was trying to ease my anger as I stood near the window of my office with one of my hand resting on the window pane while the other held the coffee mug tightly.
Amanda, my elder sister was standing there with her arms folded, trying to put some sense into my mind but it was of no use.
"I have the best investigators yet they can't find a single girl", yelling I threw the mug on the wall nearby and it got smashed into pieces within seconds.
"Even if you find her Sebastian, what will you do? Apologize? Even when it wasn't your mistake. Your friends drugged you and then forced you into doing all that, you shouldn't blame yourself why don't you understand?!"
"I know", I spoke softly, "but her screams when she was calling out for help, her cries when she was begging me to stop, it still echoes in my ears and no matter what, I can't forget it."
"I want to make it up to her even if it takes forever", I added after a second.
"It won't make a difference", Amanda said sighing.
The phone in my office rang as my assistant Jenna called me and I picked it up.
"What?!", I asked rudely.
"Sir, James Wilson is here to see you."
"Send him up", saying that I hung up the call.
James was one of my investigators that I hired recently.
There was a knock on my office door and as I said come in, James walked in.
"Good evening, Mr.Arnold", he greeted and I just coldly nodded at him.
"I have found her", was the only thing he said and there was a sense of hope in me.
"Where is she?"
"I don't know exactly where she is but she works in the same firm in which I work. I met her today and she said that she doesn't have a surname", he explained.
And then he showed me the picture that he took of her secretly so that I could confirm that she was the one I was looking for.
I looked over to Amanda and sighing she sat down on the couch nearby.
"I want her address that must have been registered at the firm", I told him and he nodded.
"And", James said suddenly, "she has a six months old daughter."
His words made shocked, she has a daughter? Amanda was already looking at me with wide eyes, I know what she is thinking
And there is a 95% possibility that she could be my daughter.
"Any more information?", I asked him at which he just shook his head and said, "Before I could ask her about anything else she went away."
"Fine, you did a good job and you will be paid for it soon. You can go now.", I appreciated him at which he thanked me and went away.
Amanda walked up to me and said, "Now what? You think that she is your daughter only?"
"Most probably."
"Dad and mom still don't know about all this and now if you suddenly tell them that you have a six-month-old daughter they are going to get a heart attack."
"Who is going to tell them?", I asked amusingly and shaking her head she went out of my office.
I sat down on my chair with my head in between my hands. If she really is my daughter then what will I do?
'Money can't buy happiness', I have been hearing that since childhood but now I understand it's meaning.
I am one of the richest person in the world, I have everything, money, fame, even girls are crazy about me. I can have anything done within the snap of my finger, everyone's afraid of me yet I am not happy, I am not satisfied, this guilt is eating me day by day and I can't do anything about it.
And finally, after a year I have found her and it gave me some hope.
Two hours later James texted me her address and I quickly took out my car and drove quickly to that location.
Pressing the doorbell, a man around my age opened the door and he looked confused to see me.
"Mr Arnold?", He asked, "anything... we can help you with?"
"Where's Cicilia?", I questioned him and that made him more baffled and before he could say anything a much older man appeared from behind.
"Oh, Mr.Arnold...", before he could speak any further I interrupted him, "I am asking again, where is Cicilia?"
"She is not here", the old man who I assume is her father replied.
"I am not here for your bullshit, just tell me where she is?", I said through gritted teeth trying to control my anger and they both looked scared.
"A year back she told us that she was raped by someone and she was pregnant with his child and when we refused to believe her she ran away", her father told me and my blood boiled at his words, she ran away?
I turned around to go when her brother(I assume) stopped me by saying, "Mr.Arnold, according to the amount of money she had, she must be living in some low-rented place."
Without giving any response I went and sat in my car with my head on the wheel.
Low rented place? I own some buildings that are being rented at a low price. Quickly calling my assistant I told her to check the names of the residents living in all my buildings and to find Cicilia.
Fifteen minutes later she texted me an address saying that a girl named Cicilia along with her daughter lives there. As soon as I got her message I quickly started the engine and made my way to her house.
I was a few hundred metres away from her apartment when I crossed a grocery store and saw her coming out of it with a child in her hand. I immediately parked my car at the side of the road and getting out of I tried to catch up with her. I moved past the people that were walking there and soon I was a metre away from her.
"Cicilia?", I called out softly and hearing me she froze in her spot.
