A new Friend
Ren woke up cold, tired, and sore the digging was just murder on his little body.
Looking around for some food Ren can see alot better now that its light out.
Finding only hard bread and even harder biscuits he decided to go outside and get a head of cabbage and munch on that till he can find some berries on his way up to the old farmer's house to get bear.
The horses were still saddled up since Ren was so exhausted from the previous night, which the horses didn't mind just as long as they got fed and watered. Picking the smaller horse was best for Ren since he lacked height to get on the bigger horse. Ren decided to go a different route today since the horse will be doing all the walking he just started following the hilly side of the meadow. After about thirty minutes of riding Ren heard some rustling noises coming from his right side and took a peek at what the noise was. In a bush not twenty feet away he saw a pair of little brown ears poking out of a bush and a little snout was poke thru every once in awhile. Not wanting to alert mama bear if she was around Ren started back on his journey to the old mans house but still there was rustling in the bushes Ren didn't stop or look back, the horse smelled something and started to get restless, the horse wanted to run and get away from the whole situation. But running might set the bear off and he will chase you down nope best thing to do is take it slow and steady. After about twenty minutes Ren didn't hear anything and thought the bear had lost interest and went off to do his own thing. So Ren didn't mind stopping by an apple tree to pick some apples, feeding apples to the horse and sitting down to stuff his own face Ren started hearing rustling from some nearby bushes stopping in mid bite Ren slowly turned his head towards the noise.
When out pops baby bear whimpering and Ren could hear babies tummy rumbling with hunger Ren almost crapped his pants looking around for mama bear. When the was no sign of her he tossed baby and apple. Baby must have been hungry he ate the apple in two bites.
Hungry little guy aren't you the baby bear looked up at Ren and it seems that the bear was smiling.
Ok here's a couple more as he threw two more apples his way.
Where's your mama Ren asked staring at the little cub. Ren took another quick glance around the area.
No sign of mama as Ren grabbed three more apples and tossed them to the little cub.
As Ren got up to leave the cub stared at him inquisitively and also started to get up.
No you stay here and wait for your mama
as Ren tossed a couple more apples to the bear.
The bear just ignored the apples and started following Ren, no stay there but the cub was ignoring Ren's commands and followed anyway
about two hundred yards where Ren started feeding the bear Ren can smell something putrid
as Ren scanned the area he saw mama bears body rotting in the sun it looks like she was attacked by a bigger bear and lost.
Heading back to John's farm the little bear would not stop following and calling after Ren.
Finally Ren stomped back to where the bear lay on his back playfully waving his little paws.
Fine I give up you can go with me as Ren tried to put the baby bear on the back of the horse the horse freaked out and took off towards John's farm. Well look's like I am carrying you ya little monster.
That bear didn't look heavy but carrying him for a mile or so wears on your arms a little. The bear was a little rambunctious after eating and bit Ren twice enough to draw blood not alot but enough to get Ren's attention. As Ren approached the old mans farm just as he was about to open the gate out jumps bear then the baby bear jumped out of Ren's arms and now bear is chasing the baby bear through the garden then into the barn, and into the rafters. Bear was so proud of himself, wagging his tail a million miles an hour. Until Ren caught up to them and started yelling at bear the dog. He is our guest Ren said be nice to him. Ren locked bear the dog in the house, and then it took Ren an hour to coax the bear down with some food.
Ren then brought baby bear to meet bear the dog, as Ren put baby bear in front of bears nose there was a lot of growling and snarling from both animals but eventually they started to get to sniffing and then the kisses started now Ren said we are one big happy family.
