"Then I'll be your guardian." Adrien said confidently. Immediately the little girl's face went from fearful and vacant to shining and happy. "Really?! I get live with Mr. Adrien?!" "Of course." "Yay!" Abbie clapped her hands happily. It was the least he could do for her. He could never tell her how sorry he was to have caused this.

"Come on, let's go inside." Adrien reached out his hands for her to grab. "You live here, Mr. Adrien?" She asked excitedly. Adrien nodded his head as they walked towards the castle entrance. He knew he was in a heap of trouble, but that was the least of his problems. All that went through his head right now was to talk to Marinette.

"Marinette!" He called out holding the girl's hand tightly. "Marinette, I need to talk to you!" He heard a swoosh which let him know... she was here. "You called for me." Adrien whipped back to see her standing behind him. The thought alone that she had killed thousands of people a few minutes ago and she still had the audacity to smile nearly made him puke.

"Who is that with you, Adrien?", Marinette asked. "This is Abbie. I'm letting her stay with us for a while since she's an orphan now." Marinette looked a bit skeptical of the little child and looked her up and down then looked at Adrien. "Alright, as long she behaves. Serv!" A little girl around Abbie's age with blonde hair scurried up to queen.

"Yes, your highness?" "Take this girl to one of the rooms, please. Also, Abbie... was it?" "Yes, your majesty." Abbie said shyly, Adrien could tell she was scared as he felt her tremble and hold his hand tight.

"This is Serv #71-21-51-81, you may call her Flora. She is going to be one of your personal maids." Flora took a little bow before looking back at Abbie with a smile. "Your room is this way Miss Abbie." Flora said before leading Abbie through the hallways of the big castle.

As soon as they were gone, all was silent. "...Was that all you needed to talk to me about?" Marinette asked . Adrien hesitated making sure he chose his words carefully, cause one wrong move could ruin everything.

"Marinette, what was that outside?" "What was what?" "I saw the... ceremony. Did you really kill all those people?" "Ah... I see. I thought the guards said not come outside." For a second Adrien thought he saw his father instead of Marinette. "Marinette, I'm not a child. I'm used to defying orders. I was just a little curious of what was happening."

"Adrien, people risk their lives for their country all the time. How is this any different from that?" "Those people chose to do that, you didn't give those people the choice. Those people had families, those people had dreams, That little girl lost her mother today." "Children lose their parents everyday, Adrien. You of all people should know that."

Adrien shot her a look of hurt since Marinette was obviously referring to his mother. "Don't talk about my mother." "Adrien, I understand you're upset by what you saw today but it's really alright. You should just go lie down, you're probably tired." "I'm not tired, Marinette, I just want to know why you have been deceiving me and why you're ruining people's lives-"

Adrien paused as Marinette caressed his cheek with her hand. "You should listen to me Adrien, I'm know you're very tired." Suddenly, Adrien felt very sleepy, maybe Marinette is right... I feel a bit sleepy... He started closing eyes and nearly fell to the gorund. Thankfully, Marinette use her magic to catch him.

"My handsome, sweet, and amazing, Adrien, I'm very sorry I had to do this but you leave me no choice." Marinette made the modified copy of Evilustrator's tablet appear. "Tablet, pull up Adrien Agreste memories." Suddenly a thousands of holographic images show up all of them with Adrien's moments of life in it.

"Tablet show me memories of the ceremony." Almost a three/ fourths of the pictures were gone and left with only a few. "Tablet set it to delete mode. " A notice came up saying 'Are you sure you want to delete a memory(ies). Doing this will make the holder lose the memories forever. Do you understand that by doing this that the results could be consequential, even mentally damaging to the holder?'

Marinette hesitated for a moment before pressing the checkmark, saying yes, and deleting Adrien's memories of today. Don't chicken out now, just do it. If you want him to be with you forever you have to do this. Marinette struggled internally for a couple minutes. Then, without a second thought, she pressed the x.

"Tablet go into editing mode."

Adrien woke up in the room Marinette gave him utterly confused. When he looked at the time on the clock it was already night time. Did I take a nap or something? I must have been tired after the ceremony. And I have the strangest feeling that I'm forgetting something.

"Plagg?" Adrien whispered. "Plagg, where are you?" "Over here, Adrien!" Plagg whispered. "There you are, I thought you had been caught." "No, of course not, I'm not that dumb to let a bunch of mind controlled guards get me, anyway besides that. Do you remember anything?" "Remember what?" "About the ceremony, you giant flower, eating people, yada yada yada... ?" ?

Adrien looked at him blankly. "I have no clue what you're talking about. The ceremony was a pretty beautiful one, Marinette is so nice for sending all those people on good note." "Good note... what?" "Yeah, All these men and women were just going to war, I'm not sure what kind of war though. But anyway the people were being sent off to war and Marinette did a little ceremony to thank them and send them off. By the way, what was that about a flower?"

Oh no, she really did remake his memories. "Never mind, I'll tell you another time." "Oh now I remember!" "What?! What?!" "We were figuring out a plan to help Marinette." "Oh." "Our best bet is to just wait it out for now and wait until the time is right."

"Adrien." "What?" "WE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THIS!" "We did?" "Ugh, never mind. Master Fu why in the world did you give me to an idiot." Plagg mumbled. "What?" "Nothing." Plagg sighed then an idea came to his head.

"Master Fu, of course! We need to get you of here and see Master Fu!" "Of course, why didn't I think of that?" "Because you ain't as smart as me." "Well at least my mind isn't on cheese 24/7" "Will you leave my beautiful camembert alone?"

"I have called you all here today because you failed the job I gave you to do. Make sure Adrien Agreste stayed inside the castle so he wouldn't see the ceremony. So, why and how did he see it?" Marinette angrily shouted at a small group of knights bowing before her in the throne room, Evilustrator at her side.

"W-w-we're not s-sure your majesty. One moment h-he was there, t-then gone the next." A guard spoke up. "That's not good enough. Give me one good reason I shouldn't strike you all down right now. Tell me how he got out and maybe I'll spare you."

The guards looked at each other desperately trying to think of an answer, but they didn't know. One guard came up trembling and scared. "I-I-I s-saw a bunch of sheets t-tied together at the b-balcony. H-h-he may have climbed d-down." "Oh, did he really, See, now wasn't that easy." Marinette smiled

The guards were internally relieved, until they saw the frown on her face. "If there isn't anything I hate more than disobedience, is dishonesty. Such bad, bad, bad boys. Maybe it's time for you to remember your place." Marinette tsked. Marinette reached out her hand to the group of guards and shot beam of light to them and they disintegrated into dust.

"Evilustrator." "Yes, your highness?" "I would like you to continue the investigation of Adrien's escape yourself." "Of course, If I find out will that mean-" "No, Evilustrator, doing so will not make me like you more." "It was worth a shot." Evilustrator shrugged and walked off out of the throne room to investigate.

"We were careless last time, so we need to get there and be back before anyone finds out that I'm gone." Adrien said. "Yeah, yeah I got it. Now go ahead and transform before we do get caught." "Right, Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien transformed quickly then went to the bathroom to turn the shower on. "This should fool them for a bit."

"Mr. Agreste?" Cat Noir heard a voice that sounded like Nathaniel's call his name. Evilustrator, oh no. "Uh... yes?" "May I come in? I would like to ask you about something really quickly. " "Well I'm about to take a shower and I'm not dressed not so..." "Of course, just let me know when you are done and we can talk later." "Ok... bye..."

When he heard Evilustrator's footsteps slowly walk away, he breathed a sigh of relief. Then he stretched out his staff so he could make a pole, and quietly crept out onto the balcony. He placed his pole vertically so he could slide down it. When he safely reached the ground it was all easy from here. Now I just need to avoid being seen.

Cat Noir stealthily crept out of the castle grounds and into the city to see Master Fu. Meanwhile...a shadow watched him from afar. "Looks like I know your little secret now, little kitty." Evilustrator said with a wide, evil grin on his face.
