Chapter 2 Story 5: Thirst

Now it was night Cody was still watching YouTube when he heard the front door open. Jeff said "I'm back." Cody turned his chair around to face Jeff. He saw Jeff put down two grocery bags at the counter. Jeff then said, "I'm going to go to sleep now so goodnight."

Jeff then entered into his bed which faced the window. He soon drifted off to sleep. Cody decided to see if any of those energy drinks were in the bags. He looked in the first bag it was all food. He had a sigh of relief. He then looked inside the next bag.

It was all THIRST energy drinks cans. "Okay this is getting concerning." "I have to talk to him about this." Then for a brief moment thunder roared in the night. Nearly making Cody jump. Then the thunder just rumbled in the night.

Cody was about to grab the second grocery bag. Then throw it away. When he felt a hand grip his shoulder. Terror washed over him. He turned his head around. It was Jeff he had a pissed off look on his face. "What were you going to do to the energy drinks?" His eyes pierced into Cody's soul.

"I was going to throw them away." Cody fully turned around. "I'm getting worried you're becoming addicted." "The fridge only has that stupid energy drink you have been drinking." Jeff slapped Cody across the face. The thunder again roared right when he slapped him in the face.

He grabbed Cody's shirt collar. Then he aggressively pulled him foward. He stared at him in the eyes. "If you ever try to do that again I swear to god I will kill you and torture your entire family."

Cody pushed him away. Cody almost screamed out loud. "What the fuck did you just say?" Cody's face twisted into anger. "You're mom has cancer right?"

"Yeah."

"I'll pull the plug early for her." Jeff grinned at Cody.

"You sick fuck!" "You're threatening to torture me and my family then pull the plug on my dying mother." "All because of a stupid drink!" "You deserve what am I going to do." Cody then ran to Jeff. He punched him across the face. Jeff was shocked at what Cody had just done.

"I hope that was a goddamn reality check!" Then Cody left the dorm nearly slamming the door on his way out. Jeff punched the wall his fist bled. "Fuck you Cody." He said in an angry tone to himself. "I will ruin you!" Then thunder roared loudly once again.
