How Do You Say Sorry

She bit her lips thinking of ways to ask for forgiveness but would he even talk to her?. Hua Ruolan got up from bed and walked cautiously to Lu Qian's room. She gently knocked on the door and it sprung open. She entered the room quietly and saw Lu Qian standing by the window watching the raindrops. The light from the room hit his face which made him look calm and gentle. Hua Ruolan walked towards him silently without making any noise.

"Can....can I stay?" Hua Ruolan asked as her soft, sweet voice distracted Lu Qian. He turned away from the window and saw Hua Ruolan standing. He didn't say anything, he only looked at her before heading towards the door.

"Don't leave." Hua Ruolan said. Lu Qian was taken aback by this.She didn't want him to leave. Does she want him to stay?. Lu Qian turned and saw the woman standing as her eyes sparkled. He went towards the bed and sprung the blanket open and entered the bed.

"Switch off the lights...I don't like to sleep with the lights on" Lu Qian said coldly as he closed his eyes without waiting for her to respond.

Hua Ruolan entered the bed carefully and sat beside him. She looked at him admirably. His lips, his nose, his arms, everything about him was just perfect.

'How should I apologize to you' Hua Ruolan thought to herself. She thought about the way he loved her before, she smiled as tears rolled from her eyes.

"How do you say sorry to someone you really hurt"she asked herself silently.

She quickly switch off the lights and laid on the bed before drifting to sleep.

Lu Qian woke up and saw Hua Ruolan beside him. It was like a dream to him. She was fast asleep. As she slept, her features softened making her look calm and sweet. His eyes roamed her tender face as she slept. Not quite long, Hua Ruolan opened her eyes and began staring deep into Lu Qian's eyes. As she stared deep into his eyes all she could see was pain. She had hurt him so much yet he still accepted her. Meanwhile Lu Qian was also staring at her. Her eyes showed regret, fear and also a glimpse of hope. All these got him confused. He wanted to understand what all these meant so he continued staring at her.

The both of them continued staring,trying to find out what the other was thinking but that moment was short lived when Lu Qian's phone rang. Hua Ruolan lowered her lashes and diverted her gaze. Lu Qian picked up the phone in annoyance.

"What is it?" Lu Qian asked irritated.

"Sir...are you not coming in today?...the meeting is about to start" Lu Qian's assistant stuttered sensing his master's mood. Lu Qian was silent for a while before answering.

"I'll be there" Lu answered as he hung up and took large strides into the bathroom.
