Officer Song didn't ask anymore questions

"OK thank you madam...we'll leave now" officer Song said as he left.

"Sir..the meeting will soon start" Lu Qian's assistant said.

"Tell the driver to bring the car around" Lu Qian said as he took large strides into his room, without looking at Hua Ruolan.

Hours earlier, before Mu Feng's accident, Hua Ruolan went to Lu Qian's hotel room. He was a bit surprised to see Hua Ruolan.

"What are you doing here?" Lu Qian asked as he sat on the sofa.

"I want to if you really don't love me anymore" Hua Ruolan answered as she went towards him.

"Not this again...it's already late" Lu Qian said as he made his way into the bedroom. Hua Ruolan followed him.

"I want you to tell me the truth... do you not love me anymore?" Hua Ruolan asked as tears filled her eyes. Lu Qian didn't answer.

"Why are you quiet? say something" Hua Ruolan said.

"I have already said what I want..its up to you if you believe it or not" Lu Qian answered coldly.

"I...don't know what to say to you...I told you that I don't love Mu Feng.. I love only you..why won't you believe me?" Hua Ruolan asked. "I don't know how many times you want me to say it.....If you want me to apologize a million times, I will...but don't tell me that you don't love me anymore".

"Let me ask you this" Lu Qian said."

If you and Mu Feng didn't break up...Ruolan be honest..would you have ever loved me?" Lu Qian asked. Hua Ruolan was speechless, she didn't know what to say. If Mu Feng didn't have a part to play in her downfall and if he had genuinely lover her, there was no way she would have ever loved Lu Qian or even notice his feelings for her.

"You can't say anything can you?" Mu Feng asked as he looked at the clock on the wall.

"It's already late...you can stay here..I'll book another room" Lu Qian said as he left disappointed. Hua Ruolan sat on the bed as tears filled her eyes. She had really lost Lu Qian. She didn't know what to do, she just laid on the bed and stared at the light.

Hua Ruolan couldn't sleep that night. How was she ever going to get Lu Qian back again. The next morning they left the hotel together. Throughout the journey, they didn't speak or look at each other. They were both lost in thought that the didn't know when they arrived at Emerald Mansion.

Hua Ruolan went up to her room and changed her clothes. The thought of Mu Feng's accident made her eyes lit up. Since the police came here to ask her about a mere accident means that they suspect someone caused the accident and the rumors about the Mu family being targeted was spreading like wild fire.
