As Dante stepped forward, Orion did as well.
"Orion, do you need help?" [Felix]
"Nope. All mine." [Orion]
He seemed a bit nervous in front of Dante, but Orion wasn't willing to back down.
"I'm surprised you're willing to go one on one." [Dante]
"Really? Well, I'm surprised that you talk so much." [Orion]
Dante didn't react to the provocation. Instead he stretched and cracked his knuckles.
"You do remember what my ability is, right?" [Dante]
"How could I forget?" [Orion]
Immediately stomping on the ground, a sharp root shot out from underneath Dante.
"Pulverize." [Dante]
Striking the root with his fist, it suddenly turned to dust.
("Huh?! What was that?!") [Adam]
"Close, but no cigar." [Dante]
"Pulverize?! That's a level 7 ability…!" [Felix]
Wearing a smile on his face, Orion chuckled nervously.
"Should've expected that it wouldn't be so easy." [Orion]
Reaching out towards the floor, roots came forth and took the form of swords.
"So you plan on equipping yourself with disposable weapons… Or are you going to throw them at me like an imbecile?" [Dante]
"Both." [Orion]
Taking a sword in each hand, he charged forward while having roots follow underground.
"Pulverize this!" [Orion]
He swung his swords, only for them to become dust the moment they touch Dante. Though they may have disappeared, Orion immediately rearmed himself with another set of swords.
"This is the same thing you did last time!" [Dante]
Demolishing the swords with his bare hands, he felt his advantage grow as the dust accumulated before him.
"You really think so? Look down dipshit!" [Orion]
"What?!" [Dante]
Glancing down at his feet, Dante witnessed countless roots burst forth. They entangled his feet and made its way up, up until the roots firmly latched itself onto his elbows.
"This…!" [Dante]
He struggled to break free, but it was all in vain.
("Eh? The roots aren't turning to dust?") [Adam]
"It must be a condition to use the ability." [Krino]
As Dante strained his body, Orion had a smug look on his face.
"Turns out the Woogle doesn't lie. Pulverize may be strong, but it can only be used on the hands." [Orion]
"Dante…!" [Bruce]
As much as he wanted to help, Bruce held himself back. Making a quick glance at Adam, he hoped that he wouldn't have to fight again.
"I'm going to beat you like a dog." [Orion]
Raising one of his wooden swords, he struck Dante in the legs.
"Ugh!" [Dante]
His face twisted in pain, a face that Orion had wanted to see.
"How do you like it now?!" [Orion]
Raising another sword, Orion hit Dante again.
"Agh!" [Dante]
"How does it feel?! Hurts doesn't it?!" [Orion]
Speeding up the attacks, he continued to pummel Dante.
"Urgh…! Just you wait…!" [Dante]
"I'm waiting!" [Orion]
Throwing aside his swords, he then pulled an even larger one out of the ground.
("Holy crap!") [Adam]
"Is he going to kill him?" [Krino]
The sword was so large that it could be compared to Kafma's, though it was unlikely for it to be as heavy.
"Waiting time is over!" [Orion]
Struggling to lift the sword, he suddenly found himself unable to move.
"...Huh?" [Orion]
"That's enough." [???]
A man had somehow made his way in without anyone noticing. He stood by the church door, holding a single hand out towards Orion.
"Wait, isn't that…!" [Felix]
Eyes widening in surprise, Felix could recognize the man's hood from anywhere.
"The guy in the alley?!" [Orion]
Wearing a white hood, he wore a strange bird-like mask.
"On orders from my superior, I am here to assist our valued customer. You may refer to me as "Crow"." [Hooded Man]
Turning his hand in the air, the roots trapping Dante seemed to tear right off.
"Hah… haha…! Took you long enough, Crow!" [Dante]
"You've gotta be shitting me…!" [Orion]
Seeing as Dante had been released, Crow quietly swept his hand across the room.
"He's-! Adam! Stop him!" [Felix]
Sensing something wrong, Adam lunged at Crow.
"Too late." [Crow]
"Wooaah!" [Orion]
Feeling a strange force pull on him, Orion was thrown into a wall.
"Agh!" [Orion]
"Orion!" [Adam]
Stopping his charge, Adam turned around to help.
"That's one down. Two more to go." [Crow]
