An Ogre Appears

As he ran back to the tunnel he had come from, a slight shaking of the earth could be heard. Suddenly Leon pressed himself towards the shadow of a wall as the hundreds of rabbits had started scurrying from the back of the room towards the other side of the giant room that contained all the tunnels.

Fearing that the rabbits had discovered him, Leon's heart started pounding like a drum, but the rabbits ran to the tunnel entrance on the opposite side of the room. Although he could leave back to safety, he was quite curious about what caused the rabbits to suddenly move.

A deep rumbling sound kept coming closer as something heavy must have been walking. As the sound came closer, a giant ogre slightly bigger than the one Leon had seen before walked out of the tunnel.

To prevent a gasp, Leon covered his mouth with his hand.

'Jeez, an ogre? This one looks as big as the one in the cave, which means it's probably equivalent to the upper parts of D-Tier or maybe it has reached the equivalent of a low C-Tier.'

Pre-body transformation, Leon would've been quite confident in being able to fight the ogre on equal footing, but after the body transformation. Leon felt like he could most likely easily defeat the ogre now, although since he was injured he probably couldn't even exert as much strength as he previously could.

In the end, Leon decided to use the ogre as a test to probe the strength and combat ability of the rabbits. Even though the rabbits outnumbered the ogre by a massive margin, he didn't think it would be completely one-sided as an ogre wasn't a joke to be taken lightly.

Plus, in the chance that the ogre won, the tunnel Leon was currently in was much smaller compared to the one the ogre arrived in and he didn't think the ogre would be able to chase Leon.

Meanwhile, the ogre scanned the rabbits that looked like small insects surrounding him. Before the ogre could do anything, the rabbits started to shriek at the ogre, which made the ogre curl his large hands into giant fists that could punch through rocks.

The two forced stared at each other, just waiting for one of them to make the first move. Eventually, the ogre would lose this battle of patience, as after a couple of seconds it roared and started to run slowly at the crowd of rabbits.

The rabbits weren't just going to stand there and wait for the ogre to come to them first, so they also started to run forward at the ogre with their sharp claws extended out.

Suddenly the ogre jumped at the incoming swarm of enemies and landed on four rabbits who instantly exploded into a fleshy paste since they couldn't withstand the ogre's weight that even caused the earth to slightly shake.

Leon looked at the performance and continued to analyze as he nodded.

'As I thought, ogre's aren't to be taken lightly. Even though they are usually below C-Tier. Their power and weight are top-notch amongst other monsters. They were like the raging elephants of the monster world.'

The rabbits didn't seem to even bat an eyelash at their fellow kin being crushed mercilessly and continued to rush the ogre. Seemingly enjoying the fight, the ogre roared with a slight grin on its face and threw a punch that hit three rabbits so hard they were launched into the rocky walls of the cave. The impact killed them as they twitched for a few seconds before they completely stopped moving.

But before the ogre could continue to wreak havoc among the rabbits, a deeper and louder shriek echoed throughout the cave from where the king rabbit had finally sat on its front paws looking at the ogre.

The rabbits, who were rushing at the ogre blindly suddenly paused when they heard the shriek, suddenly they formed small groups instead of attacking. Looking at the rabbits, the ogre was too stupid to figure out what had happened and decided to take advantage of the rabbit's halted attacks.

With a step that shook the ground a little, the ogre threw another punch at one of the groups of rabbits, but this time Leon's jaw hit the floor. Instead of being sent launching like a projectile like last time, the rabbits moved nimbly and wisely and sidestepped the punch which ended up hitting the ground and leaving cracks.

Without even hesitating, right after they dodged the group of rabbits ran past the ogre and positioned themselves behind it. However, they weren't the only ones as the rabbits started to surround the ogre in circle-shaped groups until the ogre was completely trapped.

Being limited due to its poor intelligence, the ogre looked around at the rabbits with confusion since its punch hit air and now he couldn't choose which one to attack. Before the ogre could decide, the rabbits all rushed at the ogre in sync like they could telepathically communicate orders.

The ogre threw out punches at the rabbits who were advancing incredibly fast towards him, but the rabbits easily dodged the slow punches and continued onwards towards the ogre.

At this point, Leon felt like he was watching a completely different species of rabbit or monster than before.

'They look even more coordinated than some adventurer groups...'

Before the rabbits suddenly changed, they looked a lot like regular monsters as they ran blindly at the ogre trying to get close to attack it, but it didn't work as the ogre would be able to hit them with his powerful, but slow punches.

Leon was surprised but still wasn't sure about the outcome.

'Ogre skin is tough. The rabbits shouldn't be able to easily injure it.'

He wasn't wrong in thinking this, since ogre's tough leather-like skin and big muscles provided a natural armor for the monsters.

However, this time the rabbits focused on dodging before they continued to advance. Soon the rabbits had reached the ogres and they clawed at the heels of the ogre. Instead of the claws scratching the skin, they tore through the skin and tendons like a knife.

With both its heels cut, the ogre roared in pain as it staggered backward and fell down on its back, which caused a shake from the sheer weight being dropped. It didn't stop there as Leon soon became horrified.

The rabbits continued to claw at the ogre and soon the ogre no longer looked like a monster but a pile of flesh.
