What is going on?", Evan muttered to himself anxiously. He didn't want to reveal his presence. So, he didn't use his soul consciousness in this place but after learning the overall situation from Shadow rats, he felt worried.

Evan decided to check the situation by himself. He thought, "Even if my soul consciousness got discovered by any hidden Nascent soul stage expert, I can leave immediately using the night as the cover."

His soul consciousness swept past the distant army camps and he felt astonished by the sheer number of injured soldiers. Some had lost their limbs and were being treated. The atmosphere in the army camps was heavy.
