Jason and his men arrived at the base of the mountain and were greeted with silence. Not a single living creature could be seen around them.
'Well, that is not weird at all.'
After walking for an additional 20 minutes, he finally found something. It was a humanoid looking similar to Jason and his men but it was grey. Even when Jason and his forces approached it, it did not try to run away or fight back. Jason walked up and poked its shoulder with one of his javelins. That was when something unusual occurred.
The original dull and grey humanoid began glowing blue like any other one of Jason's men. Jason let out a gasp of surprise before a smile came on his face. Because not only did he find something new, he was also given a notification in his eyes.

[Achievement: First to capture neutral human +1000]
[Achievement: Captured neutral human +10]
[Title gained: With risks, come with rewards: All creatures obtained of the same type will automatically receive the training other creatures similar to it have received.]
Jason did not hesitate after he read all the achievements he got. He had a new objective: find as many soldiers and animals as he could. Jason did not miss out on the notification saying he captured the first creature and human. Which meant that there were other creatures to be captured.
'So that goddess did not just want us to fight with a small number but wanted us to truly become rulers? If I was slower and did not find this out first, this would have seriously made things more difficult. Luckily, I didn't take this seriously like I'm sure the others are.'
And so Jason began his campaign. He decided not to try and gain as many of the creatures around his mountain that he could but to instead travel to near some of the other bases and reduce their creatures as much as he could before he got caught.
'Total war, lesson one: If you need it, hold on to it. If you don't, take anyway so your enemies can't have it.'
On his way towards the nearest base, Jason had found and captured 20 more humans, 3 elves, 4 lions, and 1 bird. Jason also learned that it was only humans who stood still. While the others would not fight back, they would try to run away and make Jason put in effort to capture them.
Jason soon came across a red tiger. He ordered his men to stand back and get ready to throw their javelins. The red color was off to Jason.
'All the other royalty had shades of blue, green, or purple. The neutral creatures are grey. And going by gamer logic like I have, red means enemy. But if I just kill it without testing it, that would be a waste.'
Jason decided to send one of his newer recruits forward, who was also unarmed, to test his theory. And it turned out correct. When the human was within 10 meters of the tiger, it pounced on the human and ripped it to shreds.
Jason no longer hesitated and ordered all of his armed men to throw a javelin at it. The tiger was soon turned into a pin cushion before shattering into pieces. Jason decided to check the creatures dropped loot due to the notification he received.

Jason walked over and found a book on the ground. When he picked it up, the title read: [Ice Spear]. Jason quickly absorbed the skill. His mind was instantly flooded with what the skill did and how to use it.
Jason raised his right hand and pointed it toward a tree to his left. A .25 long shard of ice appeared before Jason and launched itself at the tree. The ice exploded on impact and froze most of the tree, as well as some of the surrounding, instantly.
'Spells and skills? Smel... Bast definitely has been watching me play video games too much and been influenced by me. But this makes this game into even more of an advantage to me.
Jason continued his campaign to find more forces. By the end of the week, he had taken in over 500 more humans, 60 elves, 200 different battle creatures, and 2 giants before returning to his fort. He had also gained another 3 skills in that course of time.
Jason learned that skills did not drop with every enemy he killed but were quite rare. He had killed over 500 red creatures and only managed to gain 3 skills. He also learned that the two princes close to him had found out how to amass their forces, but were scared off by Jason's displays of skills.
Although Jason was more powerful than them, he did not have the training or practice to use his abilities to their highest level yet. They were caught in a deadlock.
As Jason trained all of his new creatures in their respective battle styles he wanted each of them to have, he began planning the next step in causing as much mass confusion as he could. He had heard rumors from the two other princes when he spied on them.
They feared being defeated not by Jason but by the brother and sister pair who were participating in the trial. It was said that both were highly intelligent and great warriors that surpassed most but the brother was the better warrior and leader while the sister was a true genius. The pair were most likely forming an alliance to help the brother win.
Jason sat atop of his walls and looked to see which forts/castles made the movements that seemed to be working together. After 3 days of observation as well as making a few special items for himself, Jason found his target.
Two castles appeared to constantly fighting for 3 days but with the rate they were going, their forces should almost be wiped out. If they were truly aiming to win the trial, they would not battle like that.
'Looks like I found my goal. T'challa and Shuri, help me throw this world into chaos.'
