CH 34: 3 Options

"Now, now. Can't you two talk more kindly? We are all Neo after all. While what Requiem said and feels about our traditions are true, Domina is also correct in saying that our prediction for the future was off."

Interrupted the leader of the Mindclan, Esp. The woman would only speak up when there were disputes between clan leaders but would stay quiet otherwise.

'Domina told me that she is the most dangerous Neo out there. She could even be a host to the Phoenix if she chose to.'

Seeing that she got everyone's attention, Esp continued to speak.

"Our ancestors believed that humans would be busy fighting themselves and did not realize that humans would grow to hate humans as well as all the other external threats such as magical beings and aliens.

If they knew of this, they would have surely not allowed for us to just wait for the humans to die off. Right now, we have two, no three options but the third is most likely not acceptable.

First: We can join with the lower mutants. This will create a united front against humans. We can use this as either a chance to be a natural deterrent or at least a united power if they attack. This is the best option in my opinion.

Second: We return to how we were before the X-Men, Mr. Sinister, and the High-Evolutionary got involved, completely in recluse. We stop getting involved in worldly affairs and go back to find a location where no one will be able to find us and wait until everyone else dies off.

This does not seem smart. They are creating machines to hunt us down. We would eventually be found out and we would be forced on the defensive without even knowing when they would attack us.

Third: We just go ahead and kill off humanity. We get rid of the potential/partial threat before it becomes a true threat. This has several issues though.

Humanity provides potential members for our clans and some of our clan members have human relatives. It also means that we would have to kill every human including their heroes and any friends they have made such as Thor or the Guardian of the Galaxy.

So after all of those options, I really think the first is the best for us."

Esp's words spoke of the things no one wanted to say. While the Neo were a very proud and warrior race, they also felt a deep respect for their ancestors and warriors who had fallen in battle. Many wanted to uphold the traditions of the past but they realized that the traditions were foolish in their modern and unstable times.

The other fact that they did not like to hear was that they most likely would not be able to wipe out their enemies. The Neo were warriors but not fools. They would not go into battles where their victory was not assured.

The Clan elites and leaders deliberated over how to handle Master Mold and the future of the Neo for 3 days in that room without break. Each decision had to be unanimous in order for the motions to pass.

In the end, it was decided that Master Mold had to be hunted. Jaeger, Rex, and the Shockwave Rider clan would be in charge of hunting down Master Mold before informing the clans of its position. Then they would use their combined strength to eliminate it without involving anyone else.

As for the alliance, the Neo agreed to join the new country of Genosha as their ally and stay in the nation but to form their own community within it. The leaders of the Neo community of Genosha would be the same clan leaders that already existed. Each clan would remain the same as well as the number of clan heads.

They would also demand at least 3 spots on Magneto's core group who got to make the decisions. The members who would be made to join the core group would be Ruler, Ember, and Slash, a member of the Mindclan who could use enemies with a psychic blade that dealt mental damage. They were chosen since they were the youngest members with the most potential and the next in line to be clan leaders.

The Neo scheduled their meeting on Genosha for the next day in order to discuss it with Magento. It was decided that all the clan and vice-clan heads would go to the meeting as well as the 3 future clan heads and Junction.

--2 days later, Noon--

A green mist appeared in front of a large building on Genosha. It was instantly surrounded by over 30 mutants and members of the Brotherhood. 10 people walked out of the mist and looked at the various people surrounding them.

While Neo did not have pleasant looks on their faces, they did not attack the mutants immediately. Esp 'suggested' that they wait for 2 minutes before they start attacking the mutants around them.

Mystique soon arrived and ordered for the mutants to stand down before leading the Neo into the building.

Ruler looked at the grandiose building that was made almost entirely out of metal. Only one word came to his mind when he saw it.

'Gaudy.'

Upon entering a meeting room, the Neo were greeted by another 15 figures before them. Sitting in the seat at the very center was a man wearing magenta armor and helmet along with a purple cape. When he saw the Neo enter, he stood up and did a slight bow toward the Neo.

"Welcome to Genosha, my friends."
