Re: Chapter One

Jess walked down the hall, more uppity than usual. Her very beautiful hair bounced with her as she ran along, and she smiled like a child receiving her candy on halloween.

She had just finished her classes and was approaching the weekend, excited about her chance to fight against the world's most powerful magician queen, Reina. She had practiced all week.

An hour brought her to the staircase of the magic tower, and Jess waltzed right inside.

"Alright, Reina, it's time. I practiced this time!" Jess called into the darkness.

"Please dear God, just leave me alone!" a voice whimpered from across the room.

Jess kept walking, and said, "Don't be ridiculous. Today is the day!"

"Christ, you've already used up half the building on your stupid magic! Stay away. I'll do anything, I'll even pay you!

Jess stepped right up to the mage, having memorized where she sat anyways, no longer darkness-impaired. "You know what I want, and I'm not leaving until I get it."

Reina huffed loudly. "If you want it, you've got to earn it. Beat me in a fight."

With a confident smirk, Jess muttered "Done."

     "Great, here we go."

     -five minutes pass-

Reina put her foot on Jess' back, barely having broken a sweat. "Do better."

Jess, teary-eyed, whimpered out, "I-I just wanted to love you."

"You'll need to try harder than that."

Jess lay her head on the floor. "Please let me be your girlfriend, I'll do anything!"

"Then leave, and don't come back."

"That's the only thing I can't do! To love you I have to be near you!"

"Use this world's Skype knock-off."

Jess blinked a few times, then continued whining.

Reina took a step away, but Jess grabbed her leg. "I didn't want to ruin your beautiful body! If I kill you, we can't get married and be together forever, and then I can't give you love, or buy you candies shaped like little hearts, or worse- what if I never see you again?!?!"

Reina kicked her off. "Good riddance, you whiney slut."

     "I'm a virgiiiiinnn!"

"Well, I don't see any good riddance to that one coming anytime soon."

     "What?"

     "Your virginity."

After crying loudly for seven minutes straight, Jess picked herself up, and walked away, ready to prepare for next week.

Reina huffed. "What a pain in my ass..."
