A rival and A Mysterious Pokemon

It's been three days since Soul's mom gave him the kabuto egg. He's walking toward his first gym in Pewter City hoping to win his first badge. It's a warm and sunny afternoon. He pulls his sunglasses out of his bag when he notices that there's something weird about them. The frames seem to be corroded. "Hmm...that's odd. How did this happen?" he wonders to himself.

He stops and sets his bag down. He crouches down and starts emptying it out when he notices a small metallic pokemon napping on his favorite shirt. It looked really full, like it had just finished eating. Light bulb! "So that's why my sunglasses look like they've been dropped in acid. It also explains why my backpack feels heavier than it should." he says to himself.

Soul gently reaches in to check out his new find. "Ok, little guy. Let's figure out exactly what species you are."

He reaches into the front pocket of his backpack and pulls out the pokedex Professor Oak gave him.the pokedex scans the metallic pokemon and he hears a robotic voice say "Error unknown Pokemon.'' I say"uuh That's cool I think I'm going to call you meltan.'' As I grab a Pokeball and tap it on Meltan's head. After catching the Meltan I walk for a few hours not seeing anyone just a small town. I see it has a gym then I remember that's Viridian City not pewter city. Viridian City has the 8th gym. I get into the town. I see a few people but not much. I walked to the Pokemon Center and asked if they have any rooms available Because it's starting to get dark. Nurse Joy says yes that one night is 50

The night is uneventful so the next day I leave the city there's a tunnel ish building, I talked to the guy in the building he says to show him my trainer ID so I hold it up the small scanner he has and walk into Viridian Forest hoping to get some training done. I see my friend has just got into the forest. I walk up to her and I asked her "want to battle'' she's startled to hear me but says yes

my friend says" go Gible''

I tell Ruby to use Ember to distract Gible then get up close and use scratch.

my friend tells Gible to dodge it but it fails and gets hit.

Ruby without me saying anything jumps up and uses Ember winning the battle I say "that was fun Cynthia''( yes the Cynthia from Diamond and Pearl) she responds by saying "yeah but why is your Charmander gold" I respond by saying " I don't know I think I'm going to call this odd coloring a shiny form." Cynthia says " cool but next time I won't lose so easy and since we both started our journeys we're Rivals now." " have fun losing" I say.
