Her Knight in Shining Armor

All together they headed to their classroom for their first class. Their teacher arrived not long after them and Alice submitted the scrapbook which the guys, besides Mark, didn't know that she finished. Their teacher even complimented them since they finished ahead of the given deadline.

"How did you?" Lance was in a loss for words.

"Finish the scrapbook? Well, I obviously stayed up late for it. It was nothing though, I thought I should finish it since it is our last night there tomorrow and we might as well just enjoy it." Alice finished with a lopsided grin.

"That's just awesome Alice," Vincent nodded in approval.

"It's because I am," she said as she clicked her tongue. "Anyway, I'll be out for the night so don't look for me." she added.

"And why? You're leaving the house alone?" Gerald asked. He's currently in his mama bear mode.

"Yeah," Alice simply answered. "I need some girl time. I'll be home by nine, I swear." she said as she raised her hands in the air.

"You should be," Mama Bear Gerald huffed.

After what seemed like an eternity of History they could finally relax with an easier subject, Computer. They all went to the AV room, went to their PCs, and proceeded with the given activity.

Alice being one of the 'skilled' people when it comes to the subject managed to finish early. She just stared at the monitor afterward and silently thought about what she should do. A smile crawled onto her lips when she received a message in her Facebook account.

Tiffany : So what's your plan?! I heard you're currently staying at Mark's house?!!!

Alice : Yeah I am, we worked on a project. Idiooooooooooot. :P

Tiffany : It's just a way to get closer to him. And do you even know that my friend Grant is talking about you? It's frickin' annoying

Alice : 2 things Tiffy... 2 things...

1. I'm not a crazy psychopath like you

2. Who is Grant again??? lol

Tiffany : Screw you. How can you forget someone as striking as Grant?!

Alice : Cuz I'm awesome.

Tiffany : That makes no sense

Alice : So you think that made you smarter?

From the other side of the room, Alice saw Tiffany glaring at her. She chuckled to herself as she thought of an idea. She went to Tiffany's profile, saved a picture and made fun of it in photoshop by adding unnecessary shenanigans.

After that she put her skills to use and sent the picture to all of the PCs in their class including their teacher who happened to choke upon seeing the picture.

"Alice, get over here." her teacher called. Alice merrily approached their teacher, she pretended to gasp when she saw Tiffany's edited picture. "Delete it, I know you're the only one capable of doing that," she grinned as she deleted the picture from everyone's PC. Her teacher knows what she's capable of.

"Now go and apologize to Tiffany," her teacher ordered. Alice resisted the urge to roll her eyes before she went to Tiffany.

"Hey, I'm sorry. Hopefully, I won't do it again." her classmates chuckled at her pathetic apology. Tiffany only glared at her.

"Leave me alone," she pouted.

Alice immediately turned her heel and returned to her PC. "You heard her teach, I'm just being considerate." She told her teacher. Her teacher only shook his head in return.

"Idiot," Alice's friends shared the same thought as they let out a few chuckles.

They had lunch afterward then it was time for their gym class. Ask the teachers for giving them a crappy schedule of having gym class right after lunch. There were still no reports of appendicitis however.

"You seem to be in a happy mood," Alex mused.

"I am, Tiffany is pissed. A pissed Tiffany is equal to an aggressive opponent on the court. I'm excited." she cheered.

"I think it would be best to avoid her," Mark said.

"I don't want that," Alice shook her head.

"This is hard. I thought all the fighting would stop when we talked to Tiffany," Josh sighed.

"What? You talked to Tiffany?" Alice asked.

"Look. We did it for your sake, but now you're just being reckless," Gerald scolded and the guys nodded in agreement.

Alice frowned. "Why are you all acting like that? I'm not getting any of you involved so why bother?" she scoffed.

"Alice we're just concerned for you. What if you get into much bigger trouble? Would that make you happy?" Alex said with a scowl.

"What do you care? It is my life so don't bother," she hissed. "I don't need your concern, go and do other stuff guys do. You can even go and visit your cool new friends at that delinquent school," she turned away from them and headed in a different direction.

The guys shook their head in disbelief. "She's so damn childish," Matthew voiced out everyone's thoughts.

They all headed to the gym. "Today's sport is volleyball," their coach said. "Here is the list of the groups. Go and pass it around to see who your teammates are," he said as he passed them a piece of paper.

Once Alice received the paper, she could look at it in disbelief. She was in the same team as Mark and Alex, she didn't want to be with them after their little 'argument' a while ago. To make things worse, she's also grouped with Tiffany. To hell with life.

"We're on the same page Alice, we didn't want to be grouped with you unless you cooled your head off, which obviously still didn't happen." Alex rolled his eyes. "But we want to win so we have no choice but to work together. Got that?" he said.

"I know, we all know that I hate losing," she smirked. "We're gonna win."

Losers. They were the losers of the day. They barely even put up a decent match with their opponents. Most of her teammates didn't give a damn about the game. The others-unfortunately didn't have the athletic skills. On the other hand, Mark, who actually has the skills and one of the people that would happily want to win, couldn't play because Tiffany kept clinging onto him.

So it pretty much sums up everything on why they lost.

"Nice job Alice, you made us lose." Tiffany said as they were seated on the bench, they already lost so they were told to stay there and wait.

Alice stared at Tiffany in disbelief, her patience is wearing thin. "This is gym class and not throw-yourself-at-a-guy-who-doesn't-give-a-damn-about-you-class." she retorted with a scoff.

Alice turned away and proceeded to watch the game when a ball suddenly hit her on the head. She turned around, her aura was freakishly scarier than usual by the way, and her teammates all pointed at Tiffany.

"I had the urge to hit you," Tiffany smirked.

"Well fuck you," she cursed as she threw the ball towards Tiffany but it was caught by Mark. He even winced in pain because Alice could certainly give off a throw, who knows what'll become of Tiffany if that hit her.

"Stop it Alice, don't go looking for trouble." he warned.

Alice only glared at him before leaving the bench, grabbing her gym bag and asking the coach if she could leave early. "Thanks for saving me Mark," Tiffany said happily as she stared at Mark.

"Save your breath, I did it because you were both annoying." he stated before he left Tiffany on the bench as well.

Once classes were done, they all silently headed to Mark's house. Once they arrived, Alice took a quick shower and got dressed. "I'll be leaving for a while," she told Mark's mom.

"It's kind of late, are you going alone? Why not ask one of the guys to accompany you?" she asked as she eyed the guys at the living room. All were looking at her by the way.

"I'm going alone. It's my alone time, I'll be back before nine," Alice said before she left.

"Be careful then," Mark's mom told her as she left. Once Alice was gone, she turned to the guys and sighed in disbelief. "You all better be friends again by tonight," she told them.

Alice left and headed to the mall. She took the taxi to get there. Going to mall is not really her thing, but she didn't come there to go window shopping, she just wanted to let loose and think of things.

Alice decided to watch a movie, she didn't care that she looked like a total loner as she was seated in between a bunch of couples who did nothing but make-out in the place. She was too preoccupied with the thought of the fight she had with the guys.

"Was I too childish? I think I overreacted a bit." Alice knew that she was in the wrong but she had no intentions of admitting it. She's one stubborn girl alright.

Once the movie was done, she decided to go home but not before buying her favorite bubble tea. As she left the mall and got ready to call a taxi, she mentally cursed when she looked at her pockets. She was out of money. She finished off her bubble tea then she decided to just walk to Mark's house. "I have no regrets, at least I had my bubble tea," she thought to lighten up her mood.

It was already way past nine but Alice still hasn't arrived. No matter how stubborn the boys are, they were still worried. "Hey, isn't Alice taking too long? Should we go look for her?" Gerald asked worriedly.

"Thirty more minutes, if she's still not there then we're going out to look for her," Mark said.

"Where the hell am I?" Alice cussed. She was in an unfamiliar street and to make it all worse, she was hungry. It was already dark and there were barely any people around the place-actually there were none.

"Are the people here so boring that they sleep at nine?" she thought.

After a few turns, she finally got to a familiar area, she was only five more streets away from Mark's house. Her face lighted up with hope as she began to sprint so that she could finally get back.

She suddenly stopped in her tracks when she saw a figure of a man at the end of the street. After a minute of thinking, she took a deep breath and continued walking. When she passed the man she let out a sigh of relief.

Suddenly she was pulled roughly and she was pushed against a wall. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw the man earlier, she was about to scream when the man covered her mouth. She tried pushing him but the man grabbed her wrists and pinned them on the wall.

Suddenly the man fell on the ground. He was knocked out, she looked up and she saw Mark holding a piece of wood that he probably found lying around somewhere.

She made no hesitation to run towards him and give him a hug. Mark wrapped his arms around her in return. "Let's go," he whispered as he grabbed her arm and led her away.

When they arrived at Mark's home, Mark sent a message to the rest of the guys and told them to go back home since he found Alice.

"Thanks guys," she murmured.

"What happened, dear?" Mark's mother asked worriedly.

Alice lowered her voice as she told them about what happened. The guys suddenly felt overprotective for Alice, they also felt guilty because they didn't even bother to accompany her.

"There are many wicked people here Alice. No matter how strong you are, a girl like you still needs to be protected." Mark's mother said as she hugged Alice.

"I'll protect her mom," Mark suddenly stood up. Alice looked up to him in surprise. "I mean all of us will," he hastily added the last part, thankfully the other guys nodded in agreement.

"Well that's my boy, now you should go and change Alice. You need to rest. I'll be sure to report this tomorrow to prevent it from happening," Mark's mother said.

"Thanks, and good night." Alice gave a small smile before she headed upstairs.

"I don't know why but I feel much safer now, is it because of Mark? I'm just glad that he's around... really, really glad..."
