Alice's Wonderland

"So how is venue decorating?" Josh asked.

"It sucks and to make it all worse I have to spend the whole day with that guy," Alice pointed Mark who gladly smiled at her.

"Oh by the way, how is my lunch?" Mark asked.

"You'll get it later," Alice scowled.

"Is there something we should know?" Gerald asked.

"Oh, I gave Alice some of my lunch yesterday, so I told her that she owes my lunch for today." Mark narrated.

"Yeah and I'm planning on killing him with the food," Alice said in a serious tone.

"I'm excited for lunch," Mark said.

"Hey, I think we should head to the hall. We need to decide on the theme soon." Matthew said.

"It's a good thing we won't be separated today, I thought we'd all be too busy with our own committees." Gerald sighed in relief.

Once they arrived at the hall they took their seats. The officers of the Juniors' Club were in front to lead them and their teachers were there for supervision. "Okay, let's all decide, please tell me your suggestions and we'll vote later." Patrick, their president, said.

"I suggest cosplay," Alice raised her hand.

"Denied," one of their teachers said.

"Fairy tale!" Tiffany suggested.

"List that one, Patrick."

"How is Fairy tale better than cosplay?" Alice whined as she glared at Tiffany.

"Cosplay is expensive you idiot! Besides it won't look like a prom if everyone's wearing different costumes," Tiffany stuck her tongue out at Alice.

"Either way, whatever you wear it still won't suit you," Alice grumbled but it was loud enough for Tiffany to hear. Tiffany stuck her tongue out at her in return.

"How about Alice in Wonderland?" Mark suggested. Their secretary listed that too.

There were more suggestions from different students, once they reached a lot of numbers the students who suggested were called on the stage to explain how they picture everything based on their theme. They all voted on it afterward. To Alice's surprise, Mark's suggestion won. "What did you vote Alice?" Mark asked her.

"Disney," Alice rolled her eyes at him. "Alice in Wonderland is from Disney so technically, it falls under that category. Why'd you pick that though?" she asked.

"I actually thought of you. It's like the whole prom will be dedicated to you, it will be your wonderland." Mark ruffled her hair.

"Well I guess that's pretty cool, but there are still other better themes." Alice teased.

"At least my idea didn't get rejected in the first second," Mark scoffed.

"Feel the burn, Alice!" Alex laughed.

After the voting, the students went to their assigned groups. Since the venue decoration committee decided to have their meeting on the rooftop. The place was suggested by Alice and Mark.

"This place is actually nice, I should hang here more often," Edward said.

"Whoa there, no way this is our hang-out," Alice warned him.

"Anyway, where is our adviser? We have to start the meeting soon." Veronica sighed.

While they were waiting for their teacher most of the students chatted, the others were doing some recreational activities while Alice just sat in a corner in silence. Mark noticed her so he decided to approach her.

"It's my chance to tell her," he told himself.

So he sat beside her, he saw Alice look at him then she continued looking at nowhere as if she was stuck in very deep thought. "You seem to be quiet," he said, Alice made no response. "Alice I have to tell you something, it's very important." Alice still made no move. Mark took it as a yes so he still proceeded talking.

"Alice, I've been trying to tell you this several times, it's very obvious but you're too dense to realize it anyway. So here it is, I like you… a lot." he sighed. "I mean, there's something about you that makes you different. Honestly, I think… I'm in love with you Alice." he smiled.

Alice looked at him with a smile on her face, Mark's heart skipped a beat, and then his hopes were crushed when he saw Alice take off her earphones.

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice you, you've been talking for a while now. What were you talking about? You look like a fool talking to yourself just now." she giggled.

Mark's brow twitched. "You're such an idiot!" he shouted as he pushed Alice causing her to lose balance and fall back on the floor, little did he know that a blush crept onto his cheeks due to embarrassment.

"What the heck did I do, you moron!?" Alice shouted back as she kicked him causing him to lose balance as well, the other students and their teacher who just arrived on time to see the scene saw what happened and laughed, all except Tiffany and Mia.

"Will you two quit that, you're disturbing everyone, especially your loud mouth Alice!" Tiffany shouted.

"Relax Tiffany, just let them be, they're really amusing." Edward laughed.

"And cute too," Veronica added.

"No, we're not!" Alice and Mark shouted in unison.

"Okay enough of that, let's start our meeting." They talked about their ideas for the decoration and they also listed the materials that they will need. "I guess we're done for today, you may have your lunch."

A smile suddenly crossed Mark's face, Alice sighed. "I'll go get our food," she said as she took something from her backpack. "Here, just eat it," she said as she handed him a lunch box. Mark opened it and to his surprise, the presentation looks great. "It looks clean to me," Mark chuckled as he took a bite of the mashed potato, his eyes widened.

"So?" Alice asked as she ate her lunch.

"It's horrible," he spat out his food and laughed. Alice's face turned red in embarrassment. Mark placed his hand on her head and he ruffled her hair. "I'll eat it, you prepared it for me, besides it isn't that bad." Mark smiled.

"You don't have to eat it, I warned you anyway." Alice snarled. Mark took a bite of the chicken and laughed.

"Man, this looks delicious but it tastes like charcoal." he laughed loudly. This made Alice even more flustered. Her eyes twitched in annoyance. She took the lunch box from Mark and threw it off the rooftop, they didn't know where it went.

"Why did you throw it away?" Mark exclaimed.

"So that you'd stop insulting my hard work," she scowled as she showed him some burnt marks on her hand.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to… you were asking my opinion, so I said it." Mark said sheepishly.

"Whatever, since you keep insulting my cooking then don't eat, I hope you starve."

"Nope, I have a Granola bar with me just in case your food is inedible." Mark grinned.

"I will kill you!" Alice shouted as she gave Mark a strong kick. Mark simply laughed, much to Alice's chagrin.

Meanwhile, on the other corner of the rooftop, "When will we do the plan?" Mia asked.

"This week," Tiffany answered. "I can't wait, I'm pretty sure that Alice would definitely be unable to attend prom." she whispered.

"Oh, she definitely won't be able to." Mia smirked.

The day went on as usual, the students had practice in the afternoon. Soon it was already time to go home.

"Don't you dare follow me you damn insulting man!" Alice warned.

"I wasn't planning on following you. Why? Were you expecting?" Mark asked with a smug look.

"No, I wasn't I was just being sure!" Alice exclaimed then she ran, leaving Mark laughing. Alice and her quirky charms never failed to amuse him. Perhaps that's why he likes her so much.

The next day, the students assigned for venue decoration, together with their teacher went to the mall to buy their materials. They were all grouped into pairs and as if it was fate's game, Alice and Mark got paired up.

"You know sometimes I would wonder if you planned this," Alice groaned.

"No I didn't, perhaps you were the one who planned this." Mark teased.

"Don't assume, moron." Alice growled.

"Where do we find the cloths?" Mark asked as he looked at the list given to him by their teacher.

"At the cloths and linen section, where else? Use your brain, you idiot." Alice sneered.

"You're beginning to get grumpy like Josh,"

"Well it's your fault!" Alice scowled.

Hours have passed and all the students have met up at the food court of the mall. "Do we have everything we need?" their teacher asked.

"Yes ma'am!" the students replied.

"So we'll just bring these back to school and you may head home, tomorrow we'll start visualizing and Alice will finalize the backdraft."

"Okay but before that can we please eat?" Veronica asked.

They all agreed to eat first since none of them have taken their lunch yet. "What the hell are you eating?" Alice exclaimed as she pointed out Mark's food.

"It's a vegetable salad, mom always forces me to at least eat vegetables twice a week," Mark said matter of factly.

"Your food looks like goat food," Alice teased.

"It's better than eating nothing," Mark pointed out.

"I try to avoid fast food, it goes straight to my thighs" Alice joked.

"Whatever," Mark chuckled.

They all rode the bus on their way to school, "This is so exhausting," Alice sighed. Mark and Alice sat next to each other, Alice leaned on Mark's shoulder. "Just let me sleep." she muttered as she closed her eyes, Mark could only smile like an idiot.

Once they got there, Mark woke Alice up and they went back to school. Their teacher told them that they will be joining the practice for a while and they'd start the decorating next week. "This sucks, I don't want to practice." Alice groaned,

"Me too, but at least now we get to hang out with the others again,"

"That's the only good thing about it,"

"This is bad, our plan is postponed," Tiffany whispered angrily…

"It's okay we can do it next week which means there will be a bigger chance that Alice will be unable to attend prom." Mia smirked.
