Anasthasia sucked cold air; her mind was thrown into chaos, "What? Did he just—" Mouth trembled, and no words left her dainty lips. She shook her head, convincing herself, 'That's impossible! It must've been a coincidence!'
She gulped hard, with a hoarse tone, "What happened in here?"
"Don't worry, Lady Anasthasia." Liam turned his head and contested her deadly gaze, "It has always been like this." He could no longer stare, thus glanced sideways.
"Always?"
Her eyes bore deeper, which startled both Liam and Levi. Their bodies stifled from imminent danger. They looked at each other with their faces screamed with hesitation.
Her eyes glossed over Michael's reaction. He groaned, with gritted teeth, from pain, which found a profusion of sweat from the head down to his neck. The twins tried their very best to support him, and she had the perfect opportunity to draw closer as well.
Anasthasia bit her lips, slender fingers tried to reach his tormented face, but her muddled thoughts retracted them with ease. Her hesitation resurfaced, thus clutched her chest, listening to her heart thumped louder than ever.
'Another confidential information, I see...' A deep sigh escaped her, "It's fine, call me when needed be." She stood, turned around as she sauntered her way out of the dome of ice.
But chills ran down her spine as she was stunned in her place, not because of the dome's frigid coldness, but Levi's dry voice that quake with revelation.
"The Royal Prince," He softly croaked. "His Highness had always been like this..."
"Excuse me?" She turned her back, and eyes cast with doubt, "What would that be?"
"Our deepest apologies, we are only but the trusted knights under His Highness." He curtly bowed, fist struck with a subtle thud on his silver-clad armor, with a dark sheen on the plate's edges.
She hummed softly, hands fidgeted in the slightest notice as she grumbled under her breath, "That's weird, I haven't heard such bull sheet in a long time."
"Hear what?"
"No, it's nothing." She waved her hand, "I shall take my leave first." She then twisted her heel as she strolled her way out of the dome.
Anasthasia let out a deep sigh once more, her shoulder blades and arms leaned against the cold, crystalline surface, but its coldness never bothered her in any way. She took a glimpse at the still night sky—bright moonlight sparkled the place, different hues yet shining stars twinkled—Her eyes clouded with deep melancholy.
"So many things had happened right after I woke up from my hundred thousand years of deep slumber. Not once in those passing moments that I was awake that I didn't miss your smile."
Her eyes slowly glided down her slender arms—graze the smooth silk of her mini dress. Hands reached in her pocket and retrieved the pristine stone in her hands, "Why?" She held it so tight that her eyes glistened.
'I am so confused right now,' Her vision was overwhelmed from the inevitable build-up moisture in her eyes, 'Am I doing the right thing?' She closed her eyes, with the indulgence of forlorn, then tears trickled down her face. It was a perfect moment to let all things sunk in.
"What do we have here?"
Anasthasia glanced at the heavens and found a majestic figure—neck that overarched the entire dome, horns that protrude with might, and snout that released a puff of smoke—, cast a long shadow as though it formed an eclipse right in front of her eyes.
Friedmirth eyed her with bewilderment.
"Oh, fried, you're here!" She frantically glanced down, her hands swift through the air and back to her pocket. She blinked her eyes as she tried to brush off her, tears, "Why are you here?"
"You're not feeling well."
"These are just surge of emotions, nevermind these!"
"I know you're crying in silence." Freidmirth's nostrils flared, grumbling, "And that's okay to cry."
Anasthasia arched her head with surprise; her golden eyes dilated as she revealed a wry smile. She cleared her throat and strutted. Every pace of hers was slow, steady, and a crushing noise on the forest's floor.
"Well, thank you for that." With a soft smile, she stopped and swayed his way, "That's quite special remark for a creature like you."
"Special?" Freidmirth huffed a mouthful of smoke; his snout turned sideways, unable to meet her melancholic gaze, "It's normal for me to feel concerned as you're my benefactor."
"Alright, alright then. I believe in you."
"But really," His slant eyes focused, tinged with amber that glistened under the moonlight, "Don't abuse your powers."
To her surprise, this flinched inside her heart. However, she made sure to create a facade, 'I forgot how keen the dragons' senses are!'
"I pretty much know that," She turned her back against him, and uttered with confidence, "Thank you for that wholesome reminder."
"Then why do you keep on doing that?"
"Was it really a big deal?"
"Well, apparently it is."
"I—"
"If you continue that, then at this point in time, you're not any different from a ticking time bomb." Freidmirth slowly moved his colossal body, and it's tail—a shade of lava overwhelmed its crevices, together with its dark alloy sheen of scale— playfully wagged midair.
"Look at that," She pointed her hand and saw Freidmirth's belly—it was the same as its scales, but there are subtle pattern shades of blue that crawled its way to the neck, "It's such a spectacular view. What kind of exquisite crystals are those, perhaps you ground them into yours?"
He glanced down and scrutinized, "This? It's a part of me, not a dam crystal! Its always like this whenever nighttime embraces the sky." He bobbed his head when he realized something amiss, "—You better not change topic."
Anasthasia giggled, but not strong enough to rattle the others in the area. She brushed with her finger beneath her eyes as she withdrew the wetness in her eyes. She heaved a sigh of relief from that light conversation.
"What do you plan to do next?"
"Well, those two definitely escaped. They're extremely alerted from the predicament." She harumphed, arms crossed with firmness, "Therefore, I must change my appearance!"
"You can do that?"
"I transformed you to a minute scale," She narrowed her eyes, muttering, "You think I can't do such tricks?"
Freidmirth released a deep laugh, with each movement released a puff of ghastly fumes. "This got to be entertaining as heck."
"You never saw one?" She rolled her eyes, spread her arms, and then allowed the energy to seep through every nook and corner of her voluptuous body. The surface on her body slowly enveloped bright light, and a stream of heat exuded in the process.
Freidmirth remained unperturbed as his amber eyes locked down on the shining figure, but his half-droopy eyelids opened with surprise. When the light faded off, he had to blink several times.
Her hair that was once falling in long and billow curls, as brownish as the most fertile soil, had turned into a curly blonde hair with grace as it weaved to her supple back, her side fringes had curled near its ends. Her eyes were so blue like the deep blue waters were rightfully hers.
"I'm thoroughly impressed," He let out a low deep, hearty laugh. "It's actually a real deal."
"This process isn't east at all!" She leaned forward, finger pointed at his snout, "I have to learn everything from the microscopic level!"
"Learn what?"
"Nevermind that," She clicked her tongue as she shook her head. "Anyway, do I look much smaller?"
"There's not that much of a difference, at least for my part." He hummed in a soft tone, "You asked the wrong person."
"You're right."
"The features of your hair, eyes, and lips are perfect!" Freidmirth had has two claws looped like a circle, and harrumphed.
"Lips?"
"Yes, it's not that plump and red. Pretty much the same as the shade of your pale, snow-kissed skin." He scratched his snout with his claws, "I think that's a passable look if you were going for an ultimate disguise. Differed greatly from your previous."
"I'm glad to hear that from you."
"Though, you really asked the wrong person."
"I know that much." Her hands slowly glossed over her body features, from her slender shoulders down to the blue elegant mini dress that covered her curvaceous torso—despite the overall reduction of her size. Her eyes followed her hands and slowly examined.
"I might need to cinch this dress tighter, it feels a little loose."
"Go ahead—"
She flicked her hand, "Well, things are fine for now. I must go and meet them." She slowly walked her way in the dome. Occasionally, she almost tripped here and there, which had her cursed in silence.
'I'll have to resize and endure these broken heels!' Her dainty lips drew then, 'I might as well get a new pair of these soon!'
When she got in, two of them alerted.
'I'm not surprised.'
