A Dangerous Item

They soon went inside the great hall; this time, it was rather quiet that lingered around them. Scrutinizing every hallway they passed, which led to different rooms and sections of the Royal Palace, found no servants or guards in them.

Elliot had wrinkles over his forehead from the place bereft of life. 

"Tasha, do you know where the Queen's chamber is, right?"

"Indeed, I know where it is," she said without looking at him; her gaze got preoccupied from glancing around, having the same sentiments at the eerie place. "I don't think we're lost."

All this time, both tried to read if there were anomalies within the palace; so far, they found none and cast doubt if it was mere coincidences.

Fortunately, as they moved close, a group of maids shuffled across the hallway with folded fabrics on their trays.

"We're almost there." Anasthasia peered at the area, then hid behind the armored statue.
