bird brain

One said, I nodded thinking that it was not important while we walked through a long corridor. On both sides a scant few people stood. Their scents varying from curious and sweet, causing my mouth to begin watering. A subtle reminder that my hunger was again, raising its head in silent demand.. Albeit for now, to be fed.

If I take one of the sweet ones and eat them, would they be savoury or was it just the scent?

If I took one of those curious scents and ripped off an arm would they have an interesting taste, would their screams add to the flavour?

I grew hungrier and hungrier, but what was going to happen next was important and I needed to focus.

I really wanted to eat, but I had to stay strong.

Pushing the hunger that was still bearable for now aside, it's alright we will feed soon.

I comforted myself in my mind trying to stay focused.

I was positive that the dragon King would have good food once I passed the test.
