If She Dies, She Dies

These damn beasts lurking around, unwilling to go away. Was it because I saved the little one? Sigh, I just knew it! I just should have left it for dead! Is it this stupid body? I've never saved an animal in my life! Neither this one or previously … but lo-and-behold, I saved that one –  which almost spelt the death of my new body and life.

Meh, whatever. "Wincu why did you run? They will show no mercy; kill, or be killed. Come, I wish to shower."

I acted like I did not just massacre the majority of those students while making my way back to the house.

"Forgive me, Wu Jie, I really thought that they would at least-"

She looked pathetic, sure if I was a guy I'd pity her.. Or maybe not. Those big eyes and beautiful face looked pitiful right now.

I am not affected only because the one thing in my mind that was extremely important was the fact that this foolish girl would rather be chased than slaughter them. Was this little idiot not aware that she has to kill them first before they kill her?

Even if I was reborn, I doubt I'd have another life. This one I will treat like a sacred gift. After all, this will help me achieve that goal of birthing a daughter.

"You have seen yourself first hand what this island does to us. It's winter; no one has a place where they can be safe from the cold, except for perhaps caves. Most of the suits and helmets have run out, the automatic feeders to keep us filled with enough energy..."

I allowed my words to trail off, eyes slanting into slits as I eyed her, her head now bent in shame or remorse; I really didn't care. It's best to inform her exactly in the most brutal way as soon as possible so this foolish meat shield would learn to play her part right. While she stood there. I lifted my gaze and looked into the distance.

The pale blue snow had stopped, the river had begun to shrink. Hating the body of water, I glared at it.

Thinking about the creatures that moved around within, I shivered from the memories of being swallowed and slowly being digested.

I spoke up once again, informing both her and him, who had slipped closer covered in a few splashes of blood, I felt satisfied seeing his choice of weapon. This showed that he held no mercy like that foolish girl and I only have to focus on training only one and not two.

"We have seven days remaining, let's start discussing school."

"Like what?" Wincu asked.

"Mmm... Wu Jie has a point. We will be surrounded by danger within the school. Unable to even kill without being implicated." Cehn said. I thought a moment, unable to come up with a conclusion.

I needed to change before the blood dries.

"Let us clean up first. I'm sure you guys will come up with something during that shower time."

"OK!" Cehn said eagerly, entering the house ahead of us while we followed behind.

"Erm ...Wu Jie?"

Entering the bathroom, I quickly removed my clothes as Wincu entered behind me and began doing the same.

"Speak your mind, Wincu; don't waste time!" I said, turning on the shower and stepping under it. I began cleaning myself, ignoring Wincu.

"I want to say I'll not make the same mistake again,"

In the process of rinsing off the soap from my shoulder-length hair and body, I barely paused in my movements. Did this idiot think that I was a fool? She telling me that what had occurred today will never happen again, I'm supposed to believe that? No way! Trust is something that I will never again give. Look where that got me in my last life. I had been…

Truly, this system is just really too much!

Because of this I replied, my tone neither to flat nor high. Although it sounded charming, it was of course naturally so, my aura is strong enough to overlook that fact.

"It is up to you. I saved you today but I'll not bother the next time."

If she dies, she dies.

After a while, I was finished. She rinsed as well while I left to pat my hair somewhat dry and then deciding to fix the half curled mass into some Bantu knots. I then moisturised, dressed and excited, walking to the small living room and sitting while waiting for the other two.

In school back on earth, I pretended to be weak and pathetic, sneakily attacking those on the stairs when no one was around.

It was not until I was caught that one time … sigh, how regrettable.

Hm... Perhaps I can always try again and perfect my technique, test my limit.

Here might force me to constantly be between life and death, but I felt I could survive or just retaliate immediately in order to live longer. This was nothing like earth; in fact, if not for my fear of dying, I'd think it a paradise.

Not long later they arrived, taking their respective seats, then we started with tossing out random ideas.

After a while, we all decided to head back outside.

"Why not just adapt certain aliases?" Wincu asked suddenly. I stared at her, a bit surprised; she seemed to have read my mind.

"Wincu and I can stay in the shadows; it will not help us to stand out or become very noticeable. Cehn, you will have to become outstanding among the males, though. If you act like us, you will become nothing more than cannon fodder. Do it in such a way that the most powerful male will not think of even trying to aggravate you. Haha haha! We might need you later, so do your best."

I laughed, patting his developing shoulder. At the moment we were outside with the cooler suits on and helmets, it would be stupid of us to exit the house without being prepared.

"Two hundred and ten children remain. Sigh it was an interesting exam."

"Yes it was, Wincu. We have all trained here, so in the school we should survive until graduation."

"Adulthood, Cehn," I snapped softly.

"Yes adulthood."

"Wu Jie, shall we perfect our roles then?"

"Mmm... Yes, but I wish to nap some. That young beast has annoyed me aplenty."

"Hahaha, I'd be nice if you could take them."

"Mmm... Sadly I can't unless I can find this island. Sigh, imagine the type of damage they can do if trained right…" For a moment my eyes clouded over from the "exciting" images that glinted past before withdrawing.
