3rd Person's Point Of View
Boom
Everyone froze.
Elisa and Peter looked over at the kitchen from the living room.
There, everyone was covered in flour, sugar, milk, and eggs even.
The mixer had, exploded?
"Well shit." Sammi sighed, wiping her face.
Ben started giggling and Jameson soon followed.
"I did not see that coming." Nalla spoke finally, still in shock.
"Alright," Lyla sneezed, sending flour to go everywhere. "We need showers."
The boys all looked at one another. They all bolted for the bathroom.
"Oh geez." Lyla gasped, trying not to fall as the boys all ran past her.
Lyla smiled as she listened and watched the boys all fight on who is getting the bathroom first.
She started to collect the egg shells and the trash in a trash bag.
"Would you like some help Princess?" Peter chuckled as he and Elisa bent down with Lyla and started cleaning up.
"That would be great." Lyla smiled.
—
"I think we made too many cookies." Ben stared at the piles upon piles of cookies.
"I think you're right." Sammi nodded, staring at the cookies as well.
"What do you mean?" ELisa asked through the two cookies shoved in her mouth. "I'll make sure they don't go to waste."
Nalla rolled his eyes and smacked Elisa's hand away from grabbing another cookie.
"What?" Elisa complained.
Nalla gave Elisa a look.
"You only get two, you didn't help." Nalla explained, taking a bite of her own cookie.
Elisa's jaw dropped. "That's because you didn't let me!" Elisa shouted, pointing at Nalla.
"You would've broken something." Nalla closed her eyes as she took another bite, unfazed by Elisa.
"Says the one who made the mixer explode." Elisa grumbled, crossing her arms as she swallowed the last bite of the cookies.
Nalla's eyes shot open.
"You brat-" Nalla moved forward towards Elisa.
With a smile, Elisa turned into a cat and jumpe on top of the fridge and hid there.
"Get down here Elisa!" Nalla yelled, trying to reach Elisa.
Elisa only hissed.
Everyone else watched them from the living room, enjoying cookies and milk.
"Think we should stop them?" Lyla asked the boys, sipping her milk.
"Nah, this is fun." Nick smiled as he wiped away his milk mustache.
—
"Alright Nick and Peter, you've got the fourth floor." Lyla handed the boys each a basket full of. "Remember to smile and say Merry Christmas." Lyla smiled.
Peter saluted Lyla. "We got this."
"Just come back to the apartment when you're finished. You know where the key is." Lyla called out as the boys made their way to the staircase.
Nick waved as he closed the door behind him and the boys.
Lyla smiled and turned back to the others.
"So Nalla and Eli-" Lyla stopped herself when she saw Elisa and Nalla glaring at each other. "Nalla and Ben will go to the second floor." Lyla handed the two their baskets.
"Can I give them hugs?" Ben asked Lyla, jumping on the balls of his feet.
"Um," Lyla started. "I'm going to have to say no. People don't normally hug strangers."
Ben's smile dropped.
"I'll give you a hug." Nalla said, wrapping her arms around Ben, cheering the younger one up.
Ben was back to his normal state.
"Bye Lyla." Ben called out as they went to the stairs.
"Bye Ben." Lyla waved.
"Sammi and Elisa, you've got the first floor." Lyla turned back to the two.
Elisa groaned. "Why am I with Grandma?" Elisa dropped her shoulders.
Sammi whacked him across the head while Lyla chuckled softly.
"Grandma? Haven't heard that one before." Lyla mumbled to herself as she saw Jameson smile from the corner of her eye. She handed the baskets to the two boys.
"Elisa and Sammi, you guys split one bag for the both of you. Happy?" Lyla told the two and directed the last word towards ELisa.
She nodded excitedly and dragged Sammie to the staircase.
"Let's go Grandma-Ow!" Elisa's complaints were silenced by the stairway door.
"Alright Jamie, we've got our floor, the third." Lyla handed the basket to Jameson.
Jameson smiled and knocked on the first door.
"Merry Christmas!" He welcomed with his bunny smile.

"Everyone really liked the cookies!" Ben announced excitedly as he hung up another ornament on the Christmas tree.
Lyla and Nalla turned towards Ben with a smile to respond. But their smiles vanished when they saw what the boys had done.
"No!" Nalla shouted, storming over to the living room. "Is that what you think a Christmas tree looks like?"
The boys had attached the larger parts of the tree up top and the smaller ones at the bottom. They had to assemble the tree since it was artificial.
"We wanted to change it up this year." Nick smiled as he placed an ornament on the tree.
Nalla sighed when she saw Sammi asleep on the couch.
"Why did I put her in charge?" She asked himself as she threw a pillow at the sleeping girl.
Sammi threw the pillow back.
"I think it looks great." Lyla smiled. "We might as well accept change instead of trying to change it." Lyla nudged Nalla's crossed arms.
She looked down at her and relaxed slightly.
"I guess you're right."
Nalla frowned at the tree when she realized something.
"Hey! At least put the lights on first!"

After many hours of decorating and arguing, it was 11 pm, and everyone had settled down watching a movie; Home Alone.
"Lyla?" Nick asked, interrupting the movie.
"Yeah Nick?" Lyla responded, tearing her eyes away from the TV.
"Can we sleep down here tonight? Maybe we can catch Santa?" Nick asked eagerly, his tail thumping against the couch cushions.
"I wanna catch Santa!" Jameson joined in.
"Santa?" Elisa's ears perked up.
Sammi and Ben exchanged sad looks. Peter glanced at Lyla and Nalla.
"Uh, I need to talk to Nalla really quick." Lyla responded.
Nick nodded and turned his attention back to the movie.
Nalla and Lyla got up and Lyla motioned for upstairs.
From there Nalla explained to Lyla that no one had explained that Santa wasn't really to the youngest three. They all still believed when they were transformed.
(I'll explain this more later. The boys weren't exactly born hybrids.)

Christmas Morning
Lyla awoke feeling panicked.
'Crap. I fell asleep before the boys did. I didn't set out the presents. What are Nick, Elisa, and Jameson gonna think?'
"Lyla!" Elisa shook Lyla softly. "Santa came!"
"He did?" Lyla opened her eyes, confused.
She saw all of the presents that she had wrapped under the tree.
The boys were all searching through each other's presents in a quest to find their own.
Lyla saw Nalla sitting beside her, smiling at the boys.
Lyla sat up as well, still confused.
"You're a horrible hider." Nalla spoke quietly so the boys couldn't hear her.
Lyla looked up at her with wide eyes.
She kept his eyes on the boys.
She must've found my hiding place. Lyla realized.
She sideways hugged Nalla.
"Merry Christmas Tweety."
