Lyla's Point Of View
"Keep running!" Elisa shouted as the feet of the men thundered behind us.
I panted as we ran, terrified and exhausted. Apparently I was electrocuted, and I'm really tired.
Quite clearly, I was falling behind.
12
That was, until Elisa picked me up.
"We're gonna make it." She gasped out as she ran.
Nalla's Point Of View
"Jameson, just relax. Your wound is covered and we're going to get you to a hospital." I stroked the bunny's fur as we walked through many hallways.
I looked over at Peter carrying Nick on his shoulders. Sweat was dripping down his forehead, but he had his jaw set and determination shone in his eyes. I smiled at him, admiring how strong he has been these last couple of days.
He's incredible
Footsteps pounded the floor from a hallway or two away from us
We all stopped walking and turned around, anticipation eating away our previous thoughts.
Then Elisa carrying Lyla and Dylan turned the corner and sprinted towards us, fear in their eyes.
"Run! Just run!" Dylan screamed, bullets being sounded off behind them.
"Holy sh-" I began to run, the others doing the same.
I clutched Jameson tightly to myself.
"Ready Old Girl?" Elisa yelled from behind me just as I was going to turn right.
Oh God.
What are they planning?
Elisa's Point Of View
"Dylan, take Lyla!" I called over to him as we joined the others' group.
11
I dragged Sammi to the back of the group. She glanced at the wall we were nearing and glanced back over at me.
I nodded and smiled.
"Ready Old Girl?" I shouted.
"You bet it Kid." Sammi yelled back.
The others in front of us had already turned the corner and we ran right towards the wall.
10
Simultaneously, Sammi and I did a black flip off the wall and landed amongst the men chasing us.
And then we began.
Breaking their bones, their guns, their necks.
I stood up from a guy and stared down another who had his gun aimed at me.
Dodging the fired bullet, I used the wall to my advantage and propelled myself over him and on top of him.
He was finished in a second.
I heard something drop behind me, and I assumed it was Sammi finishing another one.
That was until I heard Lyla's scream.

Lyla's Point Of View
"Dylan!" I screamed and ran towards him, my eyes trying to process everything.
He rolled onto his side, blood pouring out of his chest.
"No no no no." I sobbed, my hands hovering over his chest before putting pressure on his wound.
"Ly-Lyla." Dylan gasped and reached for something in his belt.
"Dill?" I sniffed, trying to cover his whole wound. It was so big.
8
"It's your dad." He pushed a knife into my hands, taking them off his wound. "He's their leader."
"Do one of those experiments on her, the one you do on the cat." -
I remember everything about that bastard
"I don't care!" I cried out and placed my hands back on his chest. "Dylan, we need to get you out of here!"
Gunshots fired to my left and I saw Elisa move towards the sound.
"Stop shooting!" I screamed in the direction. "Please!"
7
"Lyla, I'm sorry, but I have to leave you." Dylan clutched my hands in his, prying them off his wound. "I'm sorry I can't see you through my blurry vision. I'm sorry I never caught the guy who killed Drew. I'm so sorry for not noticing your pain. I'm just so sorry." Dylan's voice was overtook by his emotions.
My tears dropped onto his chest.
"Dylan, it's okay. Don't be sorry. I'll love you no matter what. You just have to hang on." I looked around, but there was nothing to help me.
"I hate it when you cry." Dylan reached a shaky hand out and brushed a tear from my face.
6
I held his hand against my face, leaning into it one last time.
"I'll wait for you." Dylan's light faded from his eyes and his hand went limp in mine.
His hand slipped through my now shaking, numb ones. I looked at my hand and saw the necklace I had given him, my lips trembling. I laid my head onto his chest and screamed as loud as I could.
Sammi's Point Of View
"Lyla, we need to leave." I touched her shoulder and glanced over at Elisa who watched from a distance.
"No!" She hit my arm away. "I'm not leaving him!"
5
"Lyla, we have to." Nalla tried to reason with the sobbing girl.
I saw Ben look away, Peter wrapping his arm around the emotional boy.
"Lyla! My daughter!" A man's footsteps thundered against the cement. All gun shots stopped and the men walked away
I saw Lyla look up from Dylan, her lip trembling
4
"I'm here, my daughter!" The man opened his arms. "Your father is here."
Lyla looked at the knife beside Dylan's body.
She grabbed it and wiped her eyes.
"I'm here, Dad." Lyla adjusted her grip on the knife.
Lyla walked up to her father and hugged him, with one arm.
Lyla's father smiled, not able to see the knife she poised.
"Oh my God." I whispered as Lyla stabbed her father.
3
"You ruined the boys' life. You ended Dylan's. I'm putting an end to your reign, father." Lyla growled as Lyla's father began to fall to the floor.
Ben covered his mouth with his hand, his eyes clearly trying to process everything.
Lyla stared at her dead father, dropping the knife by her feet.
She walked back over to Dylan and kneeled in front of him.
I looked over at Elisa, looking for what we should do next. She frowned and crossed her arms, her eyes confused, but not disappointed.
"I would've done it if she didn't." She whispered to me after she stood beside me.
2
"Visit my family up there, will ya?" Lyla stroked Dylan's hair, tears falling off her face
Ben walked over to Lyla and hugged her.
"We're going to make it through this." He mumbled. "Together."
Peter carrying Nick stepped forward as well, and joined Ben's and Lyla's hug. Soon after, Nalla carrying Jameson added to their group hug.
1
Elisa held my hand. I looked up at him.
She smiled sadly. "Like the dog said," Elisa led me to their group hug. "Together."
