Chapter 12

I flinch a little as I look at him, no more caring about being openly stared at by men's eyes. Instead, I stare at him. Jaw clenched, he looks angry but not at me this time and somehow it makes him look attractive to me.

His eyes are dark and dangerous but he's not looking at me. He's glaring at the men around the table. It surprises me how quickly they follow his orders as if they're afraid of him. Good thing I'm not the only one. I feel better now that no one's staring at me, making me less nervous. Most of all, I'm kind of glad he's the one who made me feel this way.

I shake my head. No, I shouldn't be thinking he's being kind to me! He kidnapped me! He locked me in this mansion! He threatened to kill my father if I leave! What else to say to prove he's a monster?

A large hand suddenly grabs mine, stopping my fingers from fidgeting. I look up and meet his eyes which are full of emotions. His much larger warm hand covers my little hand and I feel little tingles as he intertwines his fingers with mine. My stomach feels funny and I blush. He smirks at me as if he knows how I feel with just the simple touch of his hand. I try to ignore the way he's rubbing his thumb over my skin. Ugh, why is he making me feel this way?

"You look beautiful, baby doll."

My face reddens even more. I just know it. "Thanks," I mumble shyly. "You, too."

He looks amused and I mentally facepalm myself. I probably sounded stupid. But he really does look beautiful. His eyes. His cheekbones. His jaw. Even his white shirt hints at his perfect arms and muscles. Something about him really makes me feel uncomfortable.

I ignore what I'm feeling and we start to eat soon. There are many foods to choose from on the table. I see how they eat like hungry animals like the men they are. It's like nothing can satisfy them. I, however, am not that hungry. I can only eat a little then I feel like I'm already pregnant or something.

"Not hungry?"

I look up at him and shake my head. He pierces a piece of whatever it is on his plate and shows it to me. "Here, try this."

I shake my head again.

"Just eat it," he insists, his tone letting me know he's not going to let me get away from this. I sigh and take a bite. I chew on it for a few seconds and a moan escapes my lips. It is delicious.

I lick my lips and see his eyes zoning over my little action. I quickly take a tissue and cover my mouth. He looks away from my lips and into my eyes. "You should stop moaning like that," he states, almost in warning, before looking away.

"I'll moan whenever I want to," I reply nonchalantly.

He glares at me then. "You best behave or I'll spank that little ass of yours," he warns.

Spank? Now, he's just being a tease. He's not really going to spank me.. is he?

"Excuse me, but my ass is not that little," I tell him. I certainly believe that it is my only asset.

He laughs and it sounds so merry. "I might just agree with you on that, baby doll," he comments, looking at me with dark eyes.

"Luna," I hear someone call.

I look beside me and see a man with brown hair and green eyes. Again, I want to say my name's not Luna but I guess it doesn't matter. I'm about to get away from here anyway.

"I'm Beta Jack," he introduces himself. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"It's nice to meet you, too," I reply, smiling, even though I don't know if I should call him Beta or Jack. I guess both will suffice. Wait, I remember him. He's the guy who's standing beside Leo when he's confronting my father.

"How do you find it here?" he asks.

"I.. I don't know." Honestly, considering the way I began my day here, I don't really want to think how I'm going to express how I feel.

He chuckles. "I know it's not a good start but give him a chance."

Instantly, I look back at the Alpha and I see he's talking with someone else. It's like they're arguing about something.

I sigh. "I hate him." I really am confused with what I feel about him. I hate him but I also like his hugs and his kisses. I'm still considering the consequences.

"He's not really that bad."

I glare at him and I can say he looks taken back. "He's not really that good, either," I retort.

He smirks and opens his mouth to say something but the sound of loud clinking breaks our conversation. I look away and I see it's the Alpha. He's standing up and everyone's eyes are focused on him.

His loud, firm voice booms around the room, "I offer this toast in honor of my Luna, my future wife." He says the word wife as if it's foreign and I sit there beside him, shocked.
