Chapter 19

I wake up alone the next morning. Where is he? I sit up from the bed and look around the room. I look down at myself. My clothes aren't mine. He must have changed me last night. I remember I fell asleep right after he was carrying me on his back on the way to the truck last night.

My cheeks redden. What if I left a patch of wet saliva on his shoulder? I mentally facepalm myself. I sit for a while on the bed, thinking about everything. Last night, my father talked to me. I really hope he is fine now. Hearing his voice made my heart ache. It used to be the sound of someone calling me to get up from the bed. Someone who greeted me every morning.

I snap out of my thoughts as I hear someone knocking on the doors. I clear my throat. "Come in." The doors open and Amanda walks in. "Good morning, Luna," she greets with a happy smile. "How's last night with the Alpha?"

Blushing, I play with the covers. "He brought me to the mall. He bought some cake ingredients and new clothes for me."

"I see." She walks towards the walk-in closet and rummages through. "Why don't you take a shower first, dear?"

"Okay." Standing up on my feet, I head to the shower and take a bath. Once done, I walk out wrapped in his bathrobe. I see a beautiful pink dress placed on the bed and a pair of doll shoes on the floor. Amanda comes out of the walk-in closet holding undergarments. She places it on the bed. "Once you're done, come to the kitchen."

I nod my head and she walks out of the room. I start to put on the clothes she prepared for me along with the pair of doll shoes. I look at the mirror and fix my hair. When I'm done, I exit the room and head out down the kitchen.

I see Amanda cooking breakfast. The smell of ham reaches my nose. Mouth watering, I walk to her and help her. She smiles at me. After this, she gives me my food and I happily dig in. Finishing my plate, I walk to the sink and clean my plate. Turning around, I jump in shock. There's a large dog in the kitchen! Before I can help myself, I scream. Amanda yells, "Jordan!"

The dog looks taken aback that I'm in the room. Amanda scolds the dog and it whimpers. Hands on her hips, she commands, "Get out. Now."

My hands are on my chest, my breathing heavy, my heart beating fast. When the large dog walks out of the kitchen, I let out a sigh, my hands falling on the sink behind me. "You didn't tell me you have dogs — large dogs."

She looks guilty. "I'm sorry if it scared you, Luna."

I wave my hands. "No, it's ok. I like dogs. Its huge size just.. intimidated me."

She smiles. "Well, that's good to know." She walks to the cabinet and starts taking out ingredients. "The Alpha wants you to bake for dessert again."

My breath hitches. "Really?"

She nods. "Here are the ingredients. Would you like me to help you with anything?"

I shake my head. I don't want to bother her. Besides, she has something else to do. Baking cake is as easy as eating a piece of it.

"Alright. I'll be here when you need me."

"Thank you."

When she leaves me, I start moving around the kitchen. I prepare the ingredients on the counter and begin mixing chocolate. When I'm done, I move to put the cake in the oven. I can smell the aroma. Standing up, I turn around and jump. The Alpha is standing in front of me.

"L-Leo," I stutter, backing up. Putting his hands on the counter on either side of me, he cages me in. He lowers his face and kisses my hair, taking in my scent. "Mmm.. I can smell chocolate all over you," he says in a rough voice.

He descends and kisses down the side of my neck. His hands hold my hips, bringing me closer. I put my hands on his bare chest as I press against him. Before I can stop myself, a small whimper escapes my lips as his tongue darts out and licks my skin.

Eyes closing, I hold onto his shoulders. His grip tightens on my hips then loosens, moving down under my dress to grip my butt. I jump as I feel his erection rubbing against me. Flushed, I push him away immediately. He grunts and pulls back.

Seeing the hungry look on his face, I move away from him. He looks ready to pounce but then he sees the mixture of chocolate icing on the counter. Looking at me, he smirks evilly.

My eyes widen and I quickly take the fork on the kitchen counter. Pointing it at him threateningly, I warn him, "G-Get away from me."

Still smirking, he dips his finger in the chocolate mixture and puts it in his mouth. A hungry look comes on his face as he looks at me. I grip my fork, waving it at him. "D-Don't you dare touch me."

He takes a step forward and I run. He catches me before I reach the door out of the kitchen. Strong arms wrap around my waist, holding me tight, my back against his chest. Right then, I feel him something hard pressing against me. "Baby doll," his rough voice murmurs in my ear.

He turns me around and presses me against the counter. When his head slowly descends, I close my eyes, awaiting his lips. Instead, I feel something wet on my cheek. Opening my eyes, I see him laughing, a mischievous look on his face. I wipe my wet cheek with my hand and see chocolate. Oh, no, he did not just do that.

Glaring at him, I grit my teeth. While he's busy laughing, I wipe my hand on his face. He stops laughing. I smirk. He narrows his eyes at me. My smirk fades. He has a you-better-run look in his eyes. I gulp. He takes a step forward and I run off. He growls, "Oh, no, you don't."
