Chapter 11

Emerald P.O.V

We were walking deep into the town. First time I saw Cal talking to Kyle while I was walking behind them. My mind being a mess thinking about what Guard told me before we parted away. I know he is coming for me sooner or later but I was hoping for later rather than sooner. I am powerless right now. He can rip me apart any time. And I know Caleb can't win against him. He is much powerful. I shuddered remembering my dream nights before.

He was stalking towards me. I couldn't see his expression due to the darkness surrounded us but I was sure he must have a scowl on his face or blank expression. "Finally I found you" he said, his voice husky. I was walking backward because I knew I don't have any chance. Suddenly he stood in front of me, hands on my waist grabbing me so that I couldn't run away.

Like I have any chance.

His grip wasn't hurting, it was like he doesn't want to harm me but I know better than to believe in his tricks. He looked at me in the eyes, his dark orbs filling with emotions I couldn't recognized. His grip tighten a little which made me flinch in pain. "I am not letting you go now" he said in his silky smooth voice, grip getting tighter. I cried out in pain because he was breaking my bones. "Let me go" I screamed trying to push him away with my hands. But he didn't even budge like it didn't even affect him. And then an unbearable pain shot through my stomach. His hands loosen a bit and then he took them away altogether. I put my hand on my stomach to stop the pain but I felt a sticky liquid on my hand. When I looked there, a sword was plunged into my stomach. I gasped feeling the pain intensify by the time. "Why!" I croaked tears blurring my vision. I couldn't see his face clearly. "Because I have to" he said, I can detect pain in his voice.

Why would he feel the pain.

And then everything became blank.

I shook my head to get rid of the images that were still playing in my mind like a damn movie. I have never felt that kind of pain before. I shudder thinking if I didn't hurry, this will be my fate. "Em, get down!" Suddenly I heard Cal shouting from the front. It happened so fast, I didn't even get the time to blink and I was tasting dirt on my tongue, face front on the path. I groaned in pain due to the impact. My eyes were closed in pain but I can hear footsteps coming towards me. I turned around to face the sky and the face I saw in front of me made my blood boil.

"Well hello there love" She said smirking at me.

My scowl deepened more looking at her all happy. I stood up quickly, winching in pain and dusting myself. "What the hell are you doing here?" I growled looking at the She devil in front of me. By now Caleb and Kyle both stood beside me. Caleb has a glare on his face while Kyle was looking at us in confusion. "Well, I could ask you the same question" She replied a smile crawling at her lips. She looked at Caleb the same way, she looked at him all the time and that is lust.

Filthy Witch.

Well you guys are probably confused that who is she? I will tell you. This whore is Amara who once lived in our kingdom. She is powerful but she is also a power hungry Witch. She can control fire element which is rare in our world for normal person to control. Unfortunately, she misused the power and tried to get in bed with my older brother so that she can be queen one day.

Queen my ass.

But I caught her before anything could happen. That sneaky bitch. After that we banished her from the Kingdom. She swore to take revenge on us and then disappeared from our sight. Now here she is after two years standing in front of me smirking at me like she found the treasure. Well.

"We don't have to answer you" I growled at her, ready to pounce on her but Caleb stopped me. She smirked looking at me. "Well, I live here, you got to answer everything to me because I am the one responsible if some filth entered in our town" She sneered at me like I am the dirt under her shoes. Like hell, that bitch gonna get it from me. I will kill her when my powers come back. She will regret it if she ever meet me in her life. I will make sure of that. "Well then, we are here to meet Melissa" Kyle answered feeling more confused why both me and Cal were glaring at her.

"Hmm, I see" She made a thinking face that soon turned into evil grin. "You have such a bad luck, she went out yesterday for her vacation" She looked me in the eyes and I can clearly see the glee in them. She is enjoying it very much. "But Guard told us that she is available" Caleb said gritting his teeth. I was looking at her thinking which will be the best way to torture her.

"Well now I am telling you that she is not, you can make your way out" She gestured towards the way we came from. I took deep breaths to control my anger. "This is important, we have to meet her" I said swallowing my anger because I know she just want me to beg for that. But I won't cave in it. "I don't care whether its important or not" she huffed. By then there was small group of people surround us listening in our conversation. I rolled my eyes at her reply. Why are we even talking to her in the first place. She can be lying to us for all we know. "Well then, excuse me I have other things to do besides wasting my time on you" I said sassily and tried to walk past her.

She came in front of me blocking my path and I felt the heat crawling to my body making me grimace in pain. "This is not your Palace Princess, This is my town and when I say no that means no" She said rising the temperature of heat around me. That witch was using her power on me. I bend down on my knees, tried to control the pain but being powerless, my endurance power has been reduced. I closed my eyes to control the cry that was ready to erupt from my mouth. In between pain, I heard Caleb tried to stop Amara. But her element is powerful. I feel someone kneeling beside me and a hand on my shoulder. "What's happening?" Kyle asked moving his hand over my forehead and jerk his hand away when it touched the hot temperature of my body. "You are too hot" he said worriedly, rubbing his palm to ease the pain. "I know" I clenched my jaw to hold the pain but it was increasing every second. I moved my head and looked towards Amara. She was dodging the attack from Caleb who had anger clearly written on his face. But I didn't miss the smirk spreading across her lips.

She is enjoying every bit of it.

And then something snap in me. First time in six months, I felt her waking up, trying to crawl her way out. But letting her out is not a good choice, people are tracing her. They can find out about us any time if I let her out. So I held her back the best I could. Slowly the pain subside down and I smirked when I feel no pain in my body.

She is lending me her power.

I stood up from my position, stretching my body to control the power flowing in my veins. It feels good to have them back even for a minute. I looked towards Amara and with the flicker of my finger, she went flying towards the wall and a loud groan can be heard from her. Caleb has a shocked expression on his face and then he looked at me and realization dawn on his face and he smiled looking somewhat relieved. Kyle was stood frozen on his place.

"You are back" Cal said coming towards me. I shook my head "Not really, but I can handle that witch in the mean time" I replied and flicker my eyes to Amara where she was trying to stand up. I smirked at her form. Pay back time bitch. I flew my way towards her, in a flash I was standing in front of her. My eyes flicking to blue and green. She opened her palm to use her power but within a blink I grabbed that arm and bend it at an odd angle. She cried out in pain. "Did you like that" I asked enjoying her pain. "Leave me" she shouted still trying to use her power because I can feel the tingling sensation in my body. I laughed a little. She still think, she can win. Even if she is powerful, I am the Princess. Then I heard commotion nearby which made me slacken my hold on her and completely letting her go. "Em, we have to go" Cal said, Kyle not far behind.

"What's happening?" I asked looking at people running around us in fear. I can literally sense their fear.

This can not be happening. Not now.

"I don't know how, but he found us" he said taking my hand in his and running in the opposite direction. Kyle trailing behind us. "But" I stammered, my mind not working clearly. The adrenaline that was pumping in my veins while ago replaced by anxiety. I can not feel her any more. She had left me again. Anger and fear both bubbled inside me. Later part making me more aggravated.
