"Huh?" - Chapter Eight

You know that feeling that is described in movies that you would feel fireworks on your first kiss. Yeah this was my first kiss. And I felt the fireworks, the fire, the sudden need to never stop.

To my dismay Blake pulls away, "Autumn be mine." He demands. 

"Huh?" I froze, I couldn't move I was staring at Blake when he demanded me to be his. I swallowed my saliva in my throat, slowly trying to comprehend what is happening. 

"Autumn, I love you more than a best friend I have since we first met," Blake tells me, I stare at my hands. No one knows this but I've loved Blake since the 8th grade when I could really feel what love was. I remember it like it was yesterday. 

-Flashback to 8th Grade Dance- 

"May I have this dance Ms. Karev?" Blake comes up to me. I was sitting lonely at our table, my date had changed his mind and went with another girl. Of course Blake was very angry about this but I told it was okay. 

"Why yes Mr. Avery you may, " I said with a wide grin on my face. Blake has always been my knight in shining armor, he protected me from everyone. One time our classmate was talking shit about me and Blake punched him in the nose. Of course Blake got in trouble but he told me it was worth it.

He lead me to the dance floor where everyone was dancing with their dates. I slowly put hands in his and laid my head on his shoulder. 

Surprisingly Blake and I were the same height in 8th grade. We danced and everything went into slow motion, right at that moment I knew I'd love Blake for the rest of my life.

-End of Flashback- 

I snap back to reality when I feel Blake's hand on my cheek. 

I'm speechless and the only thing I could do is nod my head. Our smiles could light up our whole county. I lean in a kiss him again in which he laughs and returns the kiss. 

We broke apart and I could see tears start to dwell in his eyes. 

"Baby don't cry," I cup his face wiping the tears with my thumbs. This seems a bit weird cause he is the one crying and I'm the one wiping his tears. "Hey did anyone know about tonight?" I ask him.

He shakes his head and I point at our friends car I saw drive by 3 times in the past 20 minutes. He laughs and we see the window roll down.  Cheering erupts from our friends as they saw us holding hands. 

Wow I didn't even notice we were holding hands. It felt so right. I know I've made the best decision in my life by saying yes. 

I will always be his, I love him. I love Blake Avery. 

"Hey they just happened to be there. Look I'm sorry if I embarrassed you but I love you so it's okay right?" He said it so easily, like it rolled off of his tongue. 

"Alright it's fine, I love you too," and I did. I meant it with everything in me. 

He leans in and kisses me again. 

"Hey get a room!" Our friends yell towards us causing us to break apart laughing.

"Yeah I love you," I mumble with a wide grin.
